We stayed in Room 502 which was very large and comfy. The room is in front of a quiet swimming pool and jacuzzi tub in a courtyard and not too far from the main loud party pool. It was a perfect location.

My company always stays at resorts for our biannual meeting, typically we stay at the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. Honestly this is the most beautiful and luxurious place we've stayed in the 10 years I've been traveling with this group. The views are breathtaking. The staff is very attentive. The food is overpriced per usual but the skinny margarita was delicious.

I stayed at the resort for a business meeting and had room 348. It was a king bed room with a fire place and small tiled bathroom. The room has a really high ceiling and comfortable bed. I slept well. My first morning I realized there was not enough coffee in the room so I walked to the lobby - no coffee until 6 (I am from the east coast so that was a disappointment). I stocked up for the next morning. Resort is really large. I walked to the fitness center to get a bike and it was a long walk and I need the map. The atmosphere was very nice and service was good. Very laid back. When I left they were starting to fill up for Coachella abc it was a bit chaotic. Overall a nice place.

I recently stayed here with my family -my husband, my 11 year old son, and my 3 year old daughter. I was very excited to catch up on some sun and relax. We endure some cold winters here in NYC and while Santa Monica was fun (we drove down from there to here) , this resort was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. The young man who drove us to our room in a golf cart was a sweetheart, and we tipped him for his knowledge of the area and for giving us some really great recommendations. Everything seemed to be going well until our last day. As I was cleaning up and packing I stepped on something and it hurt BADLY. I looked down and by the fireplace inside our room there was a nail sticking up from the carpet. It looked like maybe they had finished some carpeting or repairs and forgot to take it out. My foot was badly bruised and is still purplish/black and blue from the incident. I called management and they sent a paramedic/security guard over who took the nail out of the floor. He was very nice and apologetic. The hotel manager offered to give our family a free breakfast that day and to pay for the previous day's breakfast, but I do not think it is enough especially since my children could have been hurt. We stayed in one of the starlight casitas , so it wasn't exactly cheap and I do not mind paying for luxe accommodations so long as it's worth it and safe. I've been back over a week now, and am disappointed that no one has called to check up on me after I left the resort and LAX LIMPING . I don't like to complain , but I do think that there should have been more done to compensate my time and money. Do yourselves a favor and please check the floors for any nails that are raised from the carpet to avoid any aggravation or interruption to your vacation.

Surprised our son with a big birthday present of Coachella tickets that we purchased in a package from Valley Music Travel. Selected the La Quinta package in hopes we would experience a more top end type accommodation and service. Not to be. After four and a half hours on the bus that stank of urine throughout we arrived to a massive check in line. Took us approx. an hour to get to the front desk. When we finally got to the front desk, we were not able to check in. As my husband had bought these tickets as a gift under his name, we were told he was the one who had to physically pick them up! After months (literally) of communication with the hotel AND the travel company about ensuring we were allocated two twin beds opposed to one king as specified in the original booking, we were told we could have a roll away as all the twin rooms had already been taken. So, after an hour wait, having to be taken out of the line and have our ID situation sorted, we were taken to our (king with a roll away, not twin) room. I am pretty sure we were allocated the most poorly situated room in the entire resort, being positioned literally right off the reception area and on the entrance driveway!! Room was a pleasant surprise in terms of fit out. Really lovely actually. Bed super comfy and room impeccably clean (phew). Asked to have the very very loud AC unit outside our bedroom window turned off (we have asked three times since we arrived and it’s still not taken care of three days later). After three days of Coachella we asked for a late check out which was granted. Unfortunately though, we were woken at 8am by three ride on lawn mowers and two wipper snippers. Omg. Called front desk. They offered as a comp breakfast. Loved the general store. We ate breakfast there each day. Didn’t get to try out Morgan’s or the Mexican on the schedule we were on for Coachella but I’m sure they are good. Really pretty hotel but feel like I was bagged up in the mix of kids that cane to experience Coachella instead of being treated like a respectable grown up. I was hoping to bring my family of six here on our next annual USA trip to discover the area and enjoy the resort sans Coachella hype but not sure I feel enamoured enough at this point to do so. Think we have experienced this hotel on the lowest level possible which is a shame. Ps NEVER book with Valley Music Travel. They obviously have way too much business for Coachella and you do not experience any personal attention, guidance or support.
