This property had outstanding reviews, I felt like I needed to stay here during my trip. At time of check in, the agent did not even welcome us to the property nor greet us with a smile. We felt like an inconvenience to the agent. Nether less I still was looking forward to my stay. Then there was issue after issue at this property. Spoke with the manager on duty who did not make anything better. Terrible customer service for a high end, more expensive hotel. I am a loyal Hilton customer and will be residing at the Double Tree next time.

Charm means old buildings and outdated rooms here. Water pipe burst one morning and we had no running water. I was traveling with my 3month old son who needed to be washed and fed in the morning, but i couldn’t do that so that was hell. A hungry baby away from home, can you imagine? My dad next door was cool about it and made do by brushing his teeth with bottled water. But i could tell he was irked that he couldn’t shower after golf. No one on staff apologized to us for the inconvenience. It was horrible-definitely NOT a relaxing getaway as we had hoped. I emailed the manager but no response.

My husband and I stayed here on super bowl weekend and we had an amazing time! The staff were amazing, and the grounds are GORGEOUS! Once you arrive on property, you never need to leave. The place is huge, but it feels small. 45 Acres and 41 pools, lets just say the map they give you at check in comes in handy, at least until you get your barings down. In terms of pools, we only went to the pool outside our villa as it was empty and the main pool was more crowded. I loved that there was lots of shade at the pool but it was still warm and you could relax by the pool without sweating your brains out. Yes, its an older property but the history and style is still very nice. The rooms have bathtubs, fire places and a comfortable bed - I could care less about the rest of it. The rooms are spacious though and have a big tv. We enjoyed dinner at Morgan's, Chips and Margaritas at Adobe Grill, and breakfast at Twenty 6. All meals were great, service top notch, and atmosphere was wonderful. The live music at both adobe grill and Morgans was enjoyable as well. If you like citrus - there are trees all over the property that are filled with fruit - you can get some that is freshly picked from a basket at the valet desk. The grapefruits were amazing! Nothing better then fresh fruit off a tree. One night wasn't enough so we will be back soon!

Have been enjoying the beautiful, relaxing and peaceful energy of this wonderful resort for almost 30 years now! Always consistent in every way!! Moved from CA almost 14 years ago and have missed La Quinta Resort so much!! Finally made our way back this past week!! Needed to thaw out from the cold on the East Coast! As soon as I stepped out of the car, I immediately felt relaxed and happy!! Quickly greeted by the wonderful staff—most who have been employed there for many, many years!! Which is always a good sign!! The staff always speak highly of the resort and are very proud and happy to be employed there!! We were fortunate with perfect weather! February 4TH - 9TH!! Swimsuits by the pool during the day, short to no sleeves in the evening. Early mornings and late nights, a bit of chill in the air. We valeted our car and only left once to visit Joshua Tree! Too beautiful at the resort to not just park and stay!! The whole idea for us is to enjoy complete relaxation!! Didn’t turn the tv on once! After almost 15 years, this place was even better than what I remembered! Such attention to detail-in every way!! The staff is beyond accommodating! The food in the restaurants and room service is perfect!! The Spa is beautiful!! The outdoor bath treatment was so relaxing!! Followed by a great massage!! I was so relaxed I fell asleep! We prefer the Starlight rooms! Have stayed in most style of rooms, including the newer villas! The upper starlight rooms are very private! You have your own spacious patio with very comfortable outdoor furniture and outdoor fireplace! No one can enter your patio. Very private!! The rooms are very spacious with a very nice fireplace as well! They all have timers, so you can relax and fall asleep without worry. The bathrooms are spacious too! Big showers and tub! Full length mirror is on back of bathroom door. Important for most of us women! We had the best room facing the mountains—sunset view! The Presidential Suite is something we considered, but it was booked. After seeing it, I would say it is best for friends and/or family or those staying with their dog. Yes!! Dogs are warmly welcomed here!! We could easily see the Presidential Suite from our room. Couldn’t necessarily see inside (not that we were trying), but could see pool area. We are just very private, and that’s why the upper Starlight Room best suited my husband and me. The last night of our stay, we opted for room service for a delicious dinner!! My husband had the duck and I had the roasted chicken! Excellent!! We sat on our patio, played our own soft music by the fireplace, the beautiful stars twinkling above with a soft desert breeze blowing through the palm trees.....very romantic and relaxing!! I could go on and on.... We highly, highly recommend The La Quinta Resort and Spa!! Almost 30 years and never a complaint!! Just raves!!! We didn’t want to leave. We are already planning our next visit for the end of April!! This will be our home in the beautiful desert!!! ❤️🌵☀️🌴👍😊 Thank you, La Quinta, for a wonderful stay!! Your attention to detail, kindness and beautiful energy sent us home with enough warmth to last us the rest of the Winter!!❤️

The place is one of the oldest resorts in La Quinta and has a lot of great history behind it! Get a spa villa if you are looking for a larger room with all of the amenities! I just had their Luxe Body Renewal treatment and it was amazing (request Pilar). The gentleman, Tony, who took us to our room was very informative on the resort and has been here along time. Very kind! Customer service by Ernesto at Front desk handled our room change very well in a professional manner. There are a lot of casitas here and the resort has been here since 1920's. It definitely has an older feel, but is beautiful! Enjoy!
