August 9-14 Our family gathered for my " 60th Birthday Celebration" 14 of us all together. La Quinta took care of our every need. Accommodations were nothing but perfect, 5 rooms in a courtyard with a pool, which kept everyone entertained. It didn't really matter the temperature excelerated to 108• because we managed the heat at poolside and an entire day at the fabulous spa, which I would recommend highly. La Quinta is a cruise ship in the desert. There is no need to leave the grounds because it offers delicious dining, golf, tennis, spa and if you are up for it a "Dive In Movie". Morgans in the desert, was the location of my Birthday Celebration. Impeccable!! We were in The Grgich Room (named after the winemaker) with a perfect delectable dinner, which could be considered culinary perfection. I enjoy spending time at La Quinta, it is an extremely relaxing get away.

Had lunch after golf at the Greg Norman course. The golf was enjoyable, the course is in great shape. The Cheeseburger and onion rings perfect. Great service by Angela. The menu had many options to choose from

Actually this is quite a good hotel, a great location. Nice Mexican restaurant. However this all is overshadowed by lawn mowers that start at 7:00 am 5 meters from your room. When this finally stopped, they started to trim the lawn edges, 3 persons with loud devices for 3 hours, all around you at the pool next to the room. We walked to another pool, hoping for some quiet time to relax. Did not work. There they started to wash the floor, all around us, less than a meter away from us. When this stopped, they started loud music, and kept it on although all guests there asked to stop it. They apologized, but kept the music on. People just left, in search of a quiet place, which nobody found. This all sounds strange, but is reality in this resort

Love this hotel. Everything perfect except main restaurant food a disappointment. We had a poolside casita which we live. I have high-end cars so I appreciate the fact that valet parks your car underground.

We love this resort. It is perfect for a family trip with the kids, but the most recent stay left a bad taste. We love that they have so many pool, if the kids get loud, we can move so we don't disturb the other guests. We decided to spend our daughter's 2nd birthday at La Quinta and make La Quinta her first hotel stay. When we got there, we were assigned a room in the Gardens, which we have never stayed before. After driving finding the room, realized that there were no pools around and the kids pool was at the other end of the resort. I called to find out where the nearest pool was and I was told that it was the adult pool. I mentioned that we had to two and and was informed of another pool. I asked if we can change our room, since we had two kids and the entire purpose of our stay was to be near a pool, not a pool facing, but near a pool. The guy on the phone was very short and I was told that they were sold out. I went to the lobby to take to someone and was basically told the same thing. I didn't like how the staff was brief and someone mentioned that "if that was your purpose of the trip, you should've booked a pool room." In the past, I have booked basic room and been near a pool. We moved on and made the best of our trip. Next morning, we were woken up at 7:30/8:00 AM by fighting neighbors. Called the front desk and was told they'll send someone. 40 minutes later, they're still fighting, we can't sleep. I called again, to ask them to at least call the fighting neighbors, until the security showed up. 15 minutes later our phone rang, it's the security, wanting to talk to me, since there in no noise. At this point everyone is up, so much for sleeping in. When checking out, I asked if they can just wave the resort fee of $30, and was told "No, since the hotel did nothing wrong." It's very understandable that the hotel did nothing wrong, but $30 is not going to make or break this establishment. I guess customer service in not on top of their list. There are other kid friendly resorts in the desert that we can check out in the future.
