La Quinta Resort & Club, Curio Collection by Hilton

We had the most disappointing stay @ the La Quinta Resort & Club. The property is beautiful but the noise level was insane! Other guests were so loud one evening that we couldn't hear the TV, couldn't read a book, and forget about sleeping! When we complained to the staff, they suggested that we use ear plugs! Are you kidding me?? How about you pull the plug on the party that are disturbing other guests?! They noted they had received several complaints. So that was bad BUT what made it worse, is that it happened the next night! The guests this time were basically holding a block party next door with loud music and shouting. Again, we complained and they sent security who just sat and watched them. I finally had to go out and tell security to break up the party, have them turn down the music and close the door! Ridiculous! Super disappointing and really negatively impacted our vacation!

Kevin and his tennis staff were again best in class. Our family and friends have been enjoying our Xmas week vacation for 15 years and it never disappoints. From the live ball clinics to tips from Marcus we had a blast!

We had a spectacular tennis experience. Kevin the director is world class. ! My daughter who played college tennis and myself knew La Quinta tennis was 5 star but Kevin made the experience 5 star plus. He even invited Cece to play on the show court on his birthday. We will be back. Great tennis program. We also had a very positive experience with Maria at the front desk. She is so caring.

Resort is first rate and offers everything you would want for a little R and R. Rooms well laid out, particularly bathrooms. Grounds beautifully maintained. View of mountains on grounds is spectacular. Service first rate, especially Crystal Kennedy at check-in. Super helpful, patient and kind. Plus Crystal provides great recommendations for area drinks/dining restaurants. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

This is an absolutely beautiful resort. We had stayed there before and eagerly anticipated our trip. Unfortunately, we were bitterly disappointed. The last two of our four nights were marred by so much noise that we could not enjoy our room. The first of the two nights, there was a super-loud outdoor party with music. When we complained, we were told it was a "private event" that they could not control. When we pressed, they admitted it was an event on hotel property and they offered to bring us earplugs!! Seriously!! If you're going to have an event with loud music, it can't be outdoors near guest rooms!! The next night was even worse -- there were people screaming and yelling and drinking right outside our door! When we complained, they sent security who seemed not to know how to deal with the situation!! My spouse finally had to go outside and tell the security person how to do his job -- tell the people to go back to the rooms and close their doors!! The hotel comped us for one night, but we would have gladly paid full price for what we had hoped to get -- a quiet and relaxing stay at a beautiful property! A real disappointment!!
