Completely Misleading Listing – Not On Property”

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Booked through La Quinta Resort & Club leasing expecting the home to be on the resort with amenity access. Completely misleading. We were required to check in at the hotel, but the house was actually a 40-minute Uber ride away, making it impossible to use any amenities. On top of that, checkout required another 40-minute trip back just to return the keys. This is a material misrepresentation of the location and experience. If the distance had been disclosed clearly, we never would have booked. Verify the exact address before booking—don’t rely on how this is presented.

La Quinta Resort and Leasing Agency

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

This was an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience from start to finish. The leasing agent placed us in a property 6 miles away, which made the entire stay completely impractical. Every time we needed to check in or out, it required a 30+ minute drive, which is unacceptable and incredibly inconvenient. While we technically had access to the property, the distance made it nearly impossible to actually enjoy or use it. Because of how far away we were, we couldn’t even rent a golf cart—something that was clearly part of the expected experience—making it even harder to get around. On top of that, the housekeeping was terrible and far below any reasonable standard. To make matters worse, they even charged us just to pick up mail we had sent to the hotel, which felt completely unreasonable and exploitative. When we raised these issues, Bernadette at the front desk was unhelpful and dismissive, offering no real solutions or support. Overall, this was a very misleading setup and a poor experience across the board. Between the distance, lack of accessibility, extra charges, poor cleanliness, and lack of customer service, I would strongly advise others to avoid this property.

Leased house through the hotel.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I rarely write reviews, but this experience was so frustrating and misleading that I feel obligated to warn others. The leasing office at La Quinta Resort was completely dishonest from the start. We were explicitly told that the home we rented was located on the resort property — which was a major factor in our decision to book. That turned out to be completely false. The house was actually 6 miles away, and due to traffic, it took us nearly 40 minutes each time to get to the resort. This was not a minor inconvenience — it fundamentally changed the entire experience we were paying for. We had to go to the hotel first to pick up the keys and there was no transportation to the house offered by the hotel. The issues didn’t stop there. Bernadette, the manager, outright misrepresented the housekeeping services. She told us there were two options: “tidy” and “full clean,” and when we asked for clarification, she said changing of the linens was the only difference, but that was not true. Housekeeping was careless and unprofessional — they left our towels sitting in the dryer and others wet in the washing machine. Completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, they nickel-and-dimed us over everything. We were even charged a fee just to have tickets delivered to the property — something that should be a basic courtesy, not an extra charge. We bought shuttle tickets for $1500 but couldn’t use them as the shuttle only went to the hotel and then there was no transportation back to our house from the hotel. So then we had to hire a driver at more expense. We even called the hotel and asked before purchasing the shuttle tickets and were told it was fine to use the shuttle. Between the misleading information, poor service, and constant extra fees, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. The lack of transparency and accountability from management is unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone considering booking through this leasing office to think twice — what you’re told upfront may not be what you actually get.

Customer Service Issues

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

My husband and I have been to many hotels in PS and decided to try La Quinta this Spring Break. Overall, the experience was okay. We liked the general layout and the space. We liked that their are a few places to eat plus a little marketplace. So you really don't have to leave the resort. However, our arrival and check in process was terrible. Upon our arrival, the valet service was very little to no help. They did not tell us that we could leave our car, or that it was okay to park it at the entrance. They did not offer to take our bags. Then their was a line of about 10 customers in line. We had to wait a good 20 minutes to check in. We happened to be helped by the counter manager. We asked for a room by the adult pool. He said it wasn't ready yet and they would text us when it was ready. We waited 2 hours, until the 4pm check in time and no text message. Then we went back to the counter - in which we had to wait in another line of about 10 people in front of us - they finally gave us a room. We asked for a room NOT with a view to cars in the neighborhood street. And that is what they gave us - a view to the parked cars. Plus the room was very dark in general, the king size bed was very lumpy as well. The day we checked in, I left messages with the counter manager and the hotel manager. It is now 4 days later and I have yet to receive a call back. Guests choose La Quinta Resort in hopes of receiving a stress free, comfortable, and easy lifestyle. This experience fell short and was definitely not that.

My go-to winter escape (especially if you play tennis!)

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

La Quinta is my absolute favorite winter escape for a tennis vacation. Whether you are a competitive player or just looking to pick up a racquet, this resort is hands down the best place I've been for the combination of atmosphere, amenities, and access to tennis. The facilities are a 10/10 with over 20 courts that are always in perfect shape. A huge shout-out to the Tennis Director, Kevin. He runs a fantastic program. You can tell he really cares about the guest experience, and the coaching staff is high-energy and super welcoming. They offer daily clinics for various levels, as well as live ball and private lessons. A must-do is booking a session on the iconic purple and green stadium court surrounded by stunning mountains and palm trees. It’s easily one of the most beautiful places to play in the world. Very "Instagrammable." This year, I visited during the Indian Wells Tournament, which meant it was a bit busier than normal (must book clinics in advance), but the energy was awesome. We got to see a couple of the pros who were staying at La Quinta practicing on the courts there, which was very cool because there were no crowds, and we were so close! Also, if you’re visiting during the Indian Wells tournament, do not miss Desert Smash at La Quinta. It’s an amazing charity event where you can see pros and celebrities up close in a more relaxed, fun atmosphere than the main tournament, and there's an awesome after-party. Even if you aren't visiting for tennis, I recommend booking one of the top-floor Spa Villas. Having stayed at La Quinta a few times, I think it's the best section within the resort because it's quiet and has elevated mountain views. These villas also have access to what I consider the best pool on the property, a massive hot tub, lots of parking, and you're steps from the spa and fitness center.

Great service, clean room, comfortable bed, large bathroom with 2 sinks. We stayed at La Quinta Resort and Spa. The grounds are stunning with all color of flowers. Food is great, all meals. Our only complaint would be parking. It is very minimal where your villa is located. There is parking lot available but not very close. The spa is also a great place with good therapists.
