Had a lovely and relaxing 3 day/2 night trip to Banyan Tree Bintan. The staff were so friendly and happy to help, particularly Kasir, who always had a smile on his face. Food was slightly pricey so we ate in one night and tried local seafood the 2nd night, which worked well.

This was our first trip to Bintan and we were a bit tentative given most people hadn’t been very excited about the place (there’s nothing to do...). Well we didn’t mind that aspect since we didn’t want to do much either. We have stayed in Banyan Tree resorts all over Asia so that wasn’t much to think about. Reservations process simple via the centralized booking. One tip here is that ideally book the ferry from Singapore earlier in order to get good options. The best times sell out fast. The resort itself was fantastic, nestled in a lovely part of Bintan. The Laguna has 3 properties- Angsana and Cassia in addition. The beach is one long stretch shared by the 3 resorts. We used the spa and the kids room at Angsana which was great (we are spa connoisseurs, hence do trust us on this). The villa we took- 2 bedroom infinity pool version exceeded all expectations. Spacious, secluded and exceptionally well maintained. I recall the villa we stayed in at Banyan Tree Lang Co being of a similar standard though the views here are much more breathtaking. While the property is old it is immaculate in upkeep. The restaurants are very good- all 3 of them are better than the ones in other resorts. The staff is friendly and the “family sharing time” package makes it rather cost effective. The staff was responsive- the idea of using WhatsApp messages to arrange for room service, buggies and restaurant and spa reservations is very cool and effective. We had to take our child at night to a clinic and the property arranged a complimentary transportation. Very commendable and a nice touch. Lastly, the beach. I have never seen water this clear at a commercial beach catering to a resort of this size. The water is clear and fishes swim right upto the shores. It is not crowded at all despite being shared by the 3 hotels. I didn’t try the golf course- may be next time.

Located at the island's corner, surrounded by a natural jungle and a stunning beach, this place offers a truly breathtaking experience where I can immerse myself in nature, filled with the sounds of birds, a calming breeze, and ocean waves. The hotel's services are excellent, and the food is fantastic.

The hotel overall is amazing and its house keeping is fantastic. A special congrats to Wendi, Heri and Lilik wich came every day and made our room perfect for us. Adding on David who came in the mornings to make our room was terrific, he even let me feed the fish in our rooms pond. They worked quickly and where very fun. They addressed us by name wich made them feel like friends. The staff is just perfect.

Wonderful celebration for my wife’s birthday. So many surprises from friendly people at Banyan Tree. Can highly recommend the Thai restaurant, Saffron! Great birthday singing by Wendi, Heri, Lilik when they came to make the room. We stayed here 5 years ago and the service has remained at the highest standard. Thanks so much!
