Cascade Wellness Resort

We stayed one bed room. Although it is not the ocean view, we can see ocean far away over great green yard with trees. Kitchen is very functional, everything is provided (but you need to buy seasonings, towel papers, so forth off course.) The room is very clean, spacious. There is a jacuzzi bath tub as well! 　The sauna, steam bath are very clean and nice. We also had a little surprise. Although l didn't say anything about my daughter’s birthday was one of the nights that we stays, the staff brought us a little cake and champagne! We will definitely come back.

We expected a five star hotel and stayed in a 3 star. The hotel looks very tired with pool areas that are uninviting. There is need of renovations and maintenance of grounds and buildings. Our terrace faces the carpark, which was unusual! I have to say the staff are delightful, but they need to be more proactive, and the cleaners make a real effort. The soft furnishings are stained and one corner of a cushion had blood on it. Quality of linen is good. Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel. The apartment itself was very comfortable and the beds/bedding superb. Overall, very disappointing. The spa did not appeal as the treatments were extortionate.

The hotel has a good location because it’s close to some really cool walking trails. However, I would not recommend staying here. We booked a one bedroom suite with a pool view but none of their suites have a shower. It is a bathtub. Which normally I would be fine with. However, the bathtub is so high that getting in and out of it is an absolute safety hazard. It is an actually a Jacuzzi tub with a hand held shower wand, which slants forward so you cannot even get under the showerhead. It’s a very small handheld shower and the water sprays everywhere so the floor of the entire bathroom becomes wet and both me and my husband slipped numerous times trying to get in and out. I would highly recommend not staying at this place, because management does nothing to resolve the issue. They basically said I have to pay extra for a two bedroom suite which has a shower. And we already spent an arm and a leg on this one bedroom suite. I have travelled all around the world and never have I received service is poor is this with no resolution available. They were completely rude. And basically said the shower was constructed to their standards. When I invited them to try and step into it, they refused to do so.

Very well located, very clean, employées are so kind, very nice spa, restaurants are very good, breakfast buffet is a 10. In summary, Imwould give a solid 9 overall

My wife and I drove and visited numerous Algarve cities/towns during the course of a recent 5-day visit and were extremely pleased with our choice of Cascade Wellness Resort and the city of Lagos. Cascade provided outstanding service, food and facilities. Of the Algarve places we visited, Lagos provided the perfect mix of quiet/small, while still affording great restaurant and cultural options. We'd have no hesitation in recommending both.
