Came for something casual and left with an incredible experience all thanks to our lovely Server, Donnie. I plan on coming back with friends very soon because of this experience. Thanks for having us!

My wife and I had an incredible spa experience! We both received a 90 minute massage, which was incredible. However, Karin, the front desk assistant, truly made our experience next level. Her kind nature and accommodating attitude were truly a blessing to meet. She genuinely cares about the customer and went above and beyond for us!

I checked into Montage to celebrate my birthday, and several aspects made the stay worthwhile. Check-in with Olga was very pleasant, though the resort fee and what it included were not explained. Overall, the front desk and bell service teams felt meek and unengaged; I often felt like I was bothering them rather than being welcomed. For a property of this caliber, guest interaction and anticipation of needs should be much stronger. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Housekeeping was excellent—turndown service and small details like Velcro cord wraps were thoughtful touches. Spa Montage is absolutely worth it; the spa pool staff (3Js) were welcoming, attentive, and made me feel the most valued during my stay. Sema’J at the lobby bar was also wonderful and went above and beyond. Breakfast service at the Loft was very disappointing, with long wait times for basic items like eggs or oatmeal. Service at Studio was also lacking; while items were explained as sold out, the staff failed to present available options in an appealing way. At these prices, better dining experiences can be found nearby. I would not recommend the on-property fine dining. Overall, I enjoyed the property and would stay at another Montage location, but next time I will be sure to ask what is included in the resort fee, as this was not communicated at the Laguna Beach property

The Montage Laguna Beach is a true gem. There is no need to travel anywhere else. This is a slice of paradise! The service and staff are top notch and the views are unbeatable. This is a wonderful place to relax.

From inside the room, you can sense the vibrant energy of people walking along the boardwalk below, mixed with the constant rhythm of the sea. It creates a living, breathing atmosphere that feels uniquely Laguna Beach. The hotel itself is a small luxury boutique property, and that intimacy is part of its charm. It maintains an elegant, refined character throughout, without ever feeling overwhelming. The pool area is especially beautiful — serene, well-designed, and perfectly integrated into the coastal landscape. Upon check-in, we were welcomed with champagne and a small welcome treat waiting in the room. That thoughtful gesture immediately set the tone. Sitting on the patio with a glass of champagne, the ocean felt unbelievably close — almost as if we were floating above it. At night, sleeping with the door open and listening to the natural sound of the waves was incredibly romantic. No artificial noise, just the ocean breathing. It’s the kind of detail that stays with you long after the trip ends. This hotel consistently carries a romantic spirit, making it an ideal getaway for couples who want something intimate and meaningful rather than flashy. One of the most touching moments was in the lobby, where a pianist was playing. Remarkably, it was the same pianist I remembered from 15 years ago, sitting in the same place. Time had clearly passed for both of us, yet the music felt timeless. It made me reflect on how people age, but certain emotions — especially those created through music — remain eternal. The restaurant food was excellent, and the staff throughout the hotel were warm, professional, and genuinely kind. Their service was attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Montage Laguna Beach is not just a place to stay — it’s a place where time, ocean, music, and emotion quietly come together. Highly recommended for couples seeking a truly romantic coastal escape.
