Surf & Sand Laguna Beach

We absolutely loved our stay. The staff was amazing, friendly, helpful, Maxine was helpful. The poolside service was great, Ashley was great. The view was unbelievable paired with the roaring Pacific Ocean. The waves crashing all night was like a loud lullaby. The chocolate strawberries were great. Room service was efficient, pricey. We had the Octopus appetizer when we first arrived, it was delicious. Great stay.

Made reservations at Splashes for our anniversary dinner and was told they don’t reserve tables. That is fine but when we showed up we were given a table that was so tight people were walking into our wine bucket every couple of minutes and were apologizing to us. Not a great way to spend a special night. The food itself was good. There were a couple of smaller issues that was fine but you have to get peoples special occasions correct….that was why we were there!

We had amazing stay. The Catalan suit is fantastic and the view is incredible. We oder room service just to enjoy the view a bit longer. Very romantic. One of the best places to stay in Laguan.

The Surf and Sand is a beautiful hotel, right on the ocean, with gorgeous rooms, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, lovely decor, etc. However, the most wonderful thing about the hotel is the staff, who were all incredibly warm, welcoming, and gracious. They made my birthday weekend absolutely fabulous. From the bell men who always greeted us cheerfully, to Shanny and Chris at the front desk, who were both amazing, to the entire staff at Splashes restaurant, everyone was great. The delightful Christina, one of the managers, led this great team effort, and she went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay perfect in every way. Our charming and wonderful waitress Deanna, made my birthday lunch feel so special, as did Paul, the bus boy, who moved all the umbrellas when he noticed the sun was starting to get into our eyes. The whole staff’s attention to detail and level of service was unsurpassed. We have been fortunate to stay in many many five-star hotels all over the world, and my husband and son, and I all agreed that the staff at the Surf and Sand, are the best we have ever encountered. A huge thank you to Christina and everyone who made our stay so wonderful and we can’t wait to return !

Had an amazing Labor Day getaway at Surf and Sand Laguna. Booked with Amex Fine Resorts and received an unbelievable upgrade for our family to the presidential 2 Bdrm suite. Each bedroom had a king bed with en-suite bathroom and living area between the rooms with a half bath. Sofa also was a sofa bed but didn’t need it. The view was so amazing we did room service or ordered in for all our meals. Great Wi-Fi. Was able to get pool chairs and beach chairs when needed. Pool open until 10pm! All the staff were very attentive and kind. It will be hard to beat this experience.
