Surf & Sand Laguna Beach

Our stay at Surf & Sand Resort was truly a great experience! We booked through Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts, and between the room upgrade, breakfast credits, and late checkout, the perks made the stay completely worth it. ​The views were breathtaking—there is nothing quite like being that close to the ocean. We also traveled with our two dogs, and the entire team was incredibly welcoming toward them. ​A few shout-outs for the exceptional service: Maxine at the front desk handled our check-in and was super friendly, and Kevin from valet was equally fantastic. I know I’m not remembering every name, but the entire team here is top-notch. ​The location is unbeatable. Laguna Beach is such a charming, artistic town with a laid-back vibe that we absolutely love. Between the fantastic team and the prime location, we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. We will definitely be back!

I have had some great hospitality experiences but Surf and Sand blew them all out of the water. Every single person I interacted with was genuinely kind and helpful. Maxine took such great care of me and I got an incredible massage at the Aquaterra spa from Gilbert. The room was beautiful and being right on the water was so serene. I had scoped out restaurants in the area but I found myself kind of not wanting to leave and only ended up eating out once. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Waking up to the ocean view outside of our room, on the balcony at this hotel was unreal! The location was perfect and the noise level was very quiet. The room was super comfy, and when I didn't feel like going out, the room service was immaculate. But the real star was the restaurant downstairs. The staff were all really friendly, making the whole experience top-notch. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with amazing food and views, this place is a must-visit. I'm already planning my next trip back!

Surf and Sand is luxury and nature’s beauty combined. The staff is friendly and helpful. The views can’t be beat. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Splashes restaurant is great plus it literally looks like you are sitting on top of the ocean. We loved the pool and hot tub plus the convenient location is walking distance to shops and dining.

I have been coming to the Surf & Sand for many years and it is even more spectacular now with the newly renovated rooms and hotel! The views and beach access cannot be beat and is much better, and closer to the water, than the Montage or Ritz Carlton! It is the perfect place for a romantic getaway, corporate event or even a personal retreat to recharge your soul! The customer service is excellent! From the valet, to the front desk staff or booking an event with the sales team the Surf & Sand is #1!
