A picturesque location that helped to distress my visit. The staff, food and quality of atmosphere was inspiring. I would recommend this hotel to all of my family and friends. The fire pit in the middle of the courtyard was a highlight!

Great hotel/resort. Extremely clean and beautiful! Breakfast was wonderful. If you don't want to stay in all of the hustle and bustle of the strip then this is the location for you! We had a rental car which made going back and forth to the strip a breeze!

Nice distances from vegas, around 1/2 hour trip to strip, good place to get away but be able to go into strip in decent time. Spa + pool are nice amenities and very clean. Outdoor firepit area is very nice to meetup and chill with a group, reminds me of an old style south american ranch.

We had been planning a trip to Henderson for both business and pleasure. The weekend was supposed to be our time away to relax, this property seemed like it would be the perfect fit. After reviewing different hotels, we thought that the Hilton would be the best property for us to have an incredible weekend. What a mistake we made. The drive to the property was great. With the sweeping, windy stone roadway, circle drive, and dramatic entrance, we felt like we were at heaven on earth. Check-in was delightful. We were given a room on the second floor with a view of the river behind the property. It was a bit of a maze to find the actual room. There are arrows and direction paths, but the closer we looked, the more we began to see signs of a neglected property. We began to find holes in the walls in the hallways, broken vents, lights out, and that was on the way to the room. When we finally arrived in our room, the A/C vent had no cover. It was a wide open, gaping hole. The bathroom was dirty. Our bed sheets and pillows had stains on them. There was damage to walls in the room. It was bizarre. I called the front desk. They sent someone out to replace the vent. They couldn't move us because the hotel was apparently sold out for the weekend due to a wedding. We decided to leave for a bit. We travel with our pets so we left them in the room. About ten minutes after we departed we got a phone call from the hotel. The man on the phone asked us to confirm our room number then said there was a problem and we needed to return immediately. He had a very militant tone and had provided us an ultimatum. No further details were provided other than, "get here now or else." That was really bizarre to have someone from the hotel talk to us like that. We rushed back to our room. There was no security or staff there. Just our dogs in the room and they looked frightened. About ten minutes passed by and then we get a call from the same man. He says we left our dogs unattended and they had caused some commotion. In our years of traveling, this has never happened. We also noticed that our belongings had been rummaged through. Things were missing and that was very alarming. I called to report to the manager on duty. He said I needed to go to the front desk and that no one would dare take our belongings. I stated everything that was missing. He didn't seem to care and brushed it off as if "who will believe you over me" kind of talk. It made us feel helpless. We left the property, again, for dinner (and brought our pups) deciding that we'll file a report after dinner. We returned about two hours later and went straight to our room. When we returned there were bugs and flies coming out of the a/c vents and flying all along the ceiling. I called the front desk. They apologized and said they could move us in the morning. By this time, we were really upset and saddened that our weekend had been ruined on the first night. The next day we were moved to another room. The bug problem presented itself in the new room around the same time in the evening. Apparently they have a bug issue throughout the hotel and it's likely due to their being located on a man-made river. The hotel is beautiful but it's not properly managed. We've been traveling around the world for many years, and have actually worked for luxury hotel brands in the United States. What we witnessed at this property was just plain bad management. Rather than fight with the staff or management, we decided to contact the General Manager on the next business day. He wrote off our complaints and stated that he was informed of what occurred over the weekend and that we were the ones responsible for all the headaches during our visit. To top it off, they managed to charge us $300 for housekeeping fees that were not explained to us or shown to us at checkout. After some research, we found out that this property is actually not owned or run by Hilton. It was formerly a Ritz Carlton, then Ravella at Lake Las Vegas, but after the recession hit, it was sold off and then re-branded a Hilton (as a licensed property). Unfortunately, Lake Las Vegas was hit by a number of financial issues, poor sales in homes, and retailers can't seem to survive in the area. Wish we'd have known this before we booked. The area is still pretty slow in growth and has not been able to find a rhythm. Rather than try to deal with the headaches further, we disputed the credit charges and swore we'd never return to Henderson, NV. The property is beautiful, but I'm not sure it is worth the headaches. Proceed with caution. Oy vey!
