So Run Down

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I stay at a lot of Hilton Hotels. It is usually my first choice when staying out of town because you basically know what you are getting and usually they are consistent. This hotel is so far from what it once use to be. I don't usually expect super top notch luxury but this was once a Ritz. I would suggest not to bother staying here. The entire place is so run down. There is no upkeeping of this place. Lights are out all over, the floor is torn in many places, several thresholds were taped down cause I assume they don't want you to trip and fall and everything looks like it has been run down by a stampede of buffalo. The air-conditioning doesn't work. It was actually cooler in the hallways then it was in our room. Funny enough I know I wasn't the only one with an AC issues. I over heard people at breakfast complaining about the same thing. When we walked into the room we were hit with a horrible sewer smell and so I called the front desk and they said they would sent housekeeping over to fix the issue. I called back and just asked to be put in a different room. There was no way housekeeping would be able to fix this smell. They put me on hold and a few moments later they said yes we got you another room just go to the front desk. The new room was like going to a basement but at least it didn't smell. But the air didn't work or at least you didn't feel it. The fan blower was not working. I cant say the staff was bad they just didn't have any emotion or just seemed indifferent. You do get lost trying to find your way around the first day. The main lobby is on 3 which throws everyone off. The restaurant on the property was not the best at service or quality. The waiter forgot that I ordered a plated meal not a buffet breakfast. When he came over to ask how everything was I said I don't know I haven't gotten my food yet and the look of shock on his face was almost priceless. I finally got my breakfast but well after my husband finished his food. The food was very disappointing. There are some nice options over in the village. That was the one saving grace during our stay and really the only thing I could say that was good about the hotel, was the location to the village. The pool area was ok but the pool itself had a lot of debris and bugs floating in it. Lake Las Vegas is a great little gem but I would look at renting a VRBO or condo at one f the places just around the village rather then staying at this Hilton. I do urge you to check out the village and the restaurants down there. There wasn't a bad place and everyone was extremely friendly.

Not a good experience with service, rooms, or staff.

READ THE REVIEWS!!! They are completely accurate. Staff clueless. the room cleanliness, you'd get better service and hotel service at $99/night hotel i promise!! Abigail helped us and the outcome was average at best. not the best. I will 100% never stay here again. Was told pool was open, nope, its closed by city health inspector. this place is worth about $59 per month.

Elevator trapped us inside and staff didn’t care

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The hotel elevator locked me and my 4 kids inside. We tried everything to get the elevator doors to open. We pressed the help button and the alarm and the open door buttons. . I called 911 in an attempt to get us out. While the operator was trying to figure out where in the hotel we were Luckily someone from the outside pressed the open button and the doors opened. We darted out of the elevator warned other people to not use it. The part that really made me mad was the staff did not care we had been trapped. I went to the front desk and told them and they were like “oh ok” and I had to insist they follow me to the elevator so I could show them which one because they really did not care. I said put a sign on it shut it down. They wouldn’t do that. A woman was about to get on the same elevator in front of the staff and they were not going to stop her so my kids warned her we had been trapped inside for 10-15 minutes and she should not get on it. Crazy they just didn’t care about the safety of their guests.

Sad!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Do yourself a favor, Don’t stay hereThis place sucks! Terrible! Will never stay here again. The worst hotel experience ever. The pool is closed for no good reason. The village Should not be called a village every store is closed with the exception of a couple bars and an ice cream shop. The casino is closed. The rental area for the lake was closed unable to rent even a paddle board for the kidsThere is absolutely nothing for kids to do. They were bored to death! We asked the front desk if there was a ping pong table, pool table or any sort of board games and they had nothing. Front desk staff did not care and seemed annoyed for asking. They didn’t even light the fire pit! The only thing this place has is the pretty location and nice bar staff. The whole place is run down!
