Reviews for PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn
We stayed here in early Feb for a mother/son trip. The hotel was extremely accommodating in many ways. We arrived early morning with plans to ski that day with later check in, and because our room was ready they let us access it early. We weren't really entitled to the free breakfast yet so they were reasonable in not charging us for the full buffet - we only needed a snack. Renting equipment in the adjacent building couldn't have been more convenient and storing skis with front desk made it all simpler. Our room was very quiet and we were able to sleep well. We asked for a lunch to go before we drove home. They split it in half and boxed it so it would be easy to eat on the road (and it was delicious!). I'm giving 4/5 on Value only because it is expensive - but it was actually the best rate we could find in the Squaw Hotels, for our weekend. We'll definitely return.
Love the mid size boutique feel and service at PlumpJacks. The Location is bar none top notch and the staff, comfort, food & bar and facilities are all on this level as well. Everything in Squaw Village is at your fingertips. They do weddings and small conference rooms as well. They are even dog friendly, Plump Jacks is my go to place to stay in the Tahoe Basin.

PlumpJack has been our favorite Squaw Valley spot for years. We love the location, the staff is attentive, the on-site restaurant and cafe provide good selections of food and wine, and the overall experience is always pleasant.

We stayed at plumjack inn this past weekend and my daughters came down with flu during our visit. The staff was very nice and super helpful in accommodating our requests. The location is amazing. Right outside is the tram. We loved the morning breakfast too. It was all fresh and baked/made that day. The hotel is a bit old but rooms and bathrooms are kept well. We are going to be staying there again in 3 weeks. I was happy I finally found my go to spot for squaw but sad that they will be tearing down the hotel after this season. Overall we had a great experience with the hotel.
When my friends are a bore I run away here for perfect location for hiking, biking, fishing and swimming. Love the on-site restaurant and bar. Sorta sad to see a new PJ renovation but it’s a great, consistent hotel brand.
