Reviews for PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn
Wonderful place to relax. The staff are fantastic and the food is great. Our room was spacious but could use just a little attention to minor scratches. Bathroom was clean and the cleaning staff was very responsive to our needs
I was looking for a place at Tahoe where I could stay with my dog. They were not just tolerant of dogs but truly dog friendly. They gave her a dog bed, treats and her own bowls. The location is perfect at the foot of squaw ski resort.
The staff is incredible and the daily breakfast buffet the best I've had. The wine upon check in was a nice surprise, and the beds are super comfy as well! We stayed in the off season for my fiance's birthday and had a lovely time. The only downfall is that the for the price, the rooms are a bit minimalistic (no closet, just a rack and no dresser, just a tower of small baskets). Ask to stay away from the far right side of the property if traveling in the next couple weeks, as Squaw is repairing their cables and the constant noise from construction trucks starting at 7am is a bit much to wake up to on the weekend. All all our stay was very pleasant, however, and we plan to stay again.
We were at this location for a wedding. The site was accommodating and the food was great. The breakfast was really nice (real food and decent coffee). The food and dessert at the wedding was delicious. The rooms were nice but we had dogs sleeping next door that barked any time someone walked by and that woke us up several times. Overall a very nice place. Would love to try staying in the winter when I could easily reach the ski resorts.
It was my favorite visit to date and I have gone for 19 summers. I love the laid back casual atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The setting is gorgeous. The location is superb with the mountain village right there and hiking and fishing and bike riding there in the valley. I love the historic value that this was where the olympians actually stayed in the 1960's.Food at the Bar is great!
