All the staff makes us feel like home, very good service! The room is excellent, the size of bath room is almost 2/3 as the bedroom, the private pool is just few steps outside the bathroom with outdoor shower, very luxury experience. Location is not bad, about 1 hour from the Da Nang Airport with very convenience shuttle bus service. The dinner food quality of the Water Court Restaurant need to be improved. However, the breakfast is good, with free-flow Taittinger Champagne is a big surprise!

Advantage of Banyan Tree is the sister hotel is located right next door to give an extra dining option as well as very large swimming pool with swim up bar. It has a great beach which stretches for miles. During the evening, the main bar is extremely quite although we were there during a relatively quite period. If one wants peace and quite this is definitely for you. A disadvantage would be the fact that the hotel is isolated with Danang being an hour South and Hue an hour North therefore dining options are limited to the hotel. However, the hotel provides a free shuttle on a daily basis. Did find that the restaurant and bar prices were very high by Vietnamese standards. We stayed in a lagoon villa with its own pool. It is very private and the rooms are absolutely fantastic with probably the best bed we have ever slept in. The Laguna golf resort is located within the hotel grounds. Staff at the hotel were absolutely amazing and amongst the best I have come across.

After a very long ride from Danang airport heading uphill, we reached our purpose, which is to stay in Banyan tree Lang co. As you reach the hotel, the host welcomed us with smile and accompanied us to our villa. The hosts Phuong and Win are very kind and very professional which we really appreciate it much! They gave us personalized service which exceeds our expectations. Everything is at its best. From food to villas to service and everything. We will consider this hotel again the next time we will visit Vietnam! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much Banyan Tree Langco!

We've just spent 4 nights at the banyan tree, Lang co. First impressions were simply 'wow'. The villa (we had a hillside villa with the most breathtaking view across the whole bay), the view, the big private infinity pool... faultless. Our first evening was spent dining at the signature restaurant, saffron (see separate review) which was also outstanding. We had the best nights sleep in the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and woke up on day 2 excited about what more this place had in store for us. So this is the but... aside from saffron, which is closed on weds and thurs, dining options are limited. We went to the sister property angsanna for dinner at their rice bowl restaurant and it was fairly chaotic service with food we certainly weren't raving about. The next evening we opted for an in villa BBQ option which was fine, yet somewhat spoilt by having to wait an hour for an accompanying bottle of wine. Beyond this, the resort has limited options of activities should you experience bad weather... which we did one day. Aside from the ludicrously priced spa (which was actually fully booked although this is our fault as we were told to book in advance), we found ourselves spending our rainy day in bed... which was heavenly for 1 day.... but what if it had rained for longer? The activities on offer were all outside... aqua aerobics in the rain? Service was patchy... at times outstanding (staff remembering your names and villa number, etc) with gorgeous little extras (birthday cake and little gifts from housekeeping). At other times we felt service was poor (long waits for drinks in empty bars, the aforementioned wine delay). This has the potential to be one of the best resorts in the world, and admittedly, it isn't finished yet. However... to match the stunning villas, dining options (aside from saffron) need to be improved and service tweaked a little. Then, it'll be worth the money...

Overall we had a very good experience. Our villa was in first class condition with all the things that you could wish for. It was cleaned twice a day and was just about spotless. We had the three bedroom hillside which was a great size with plenty of room, three showers, kitchen with fridge, tea and coffee making facilties. Seperate Cloakroom with wc. Large living space and dining area. The decking was also large with a great pool and jacuzzi. We were staying in April, the pool was lovely and warm. Plenty of choice for breakfast and all very fresh. Hot and cold selections with something to please every taste. Tattinger champagne was an added luxury. Slight downside was tables could have been cleared sooner but this was a minor issue. Having stayed in other Banyan Tree properties in the past where food has been expensive we considers half board before we came. The cost is US$75 per person, all the meals we had were less than this so the option was not worth it. A slight disappointment for us was the dinning options. Other than Saffron where the service and food were to a very high standard the other choices lacked a little something. Water Court was very noisy with no ambience in the evening, we would have liked something more cosy and intimate, just turning down the lights may have helped, also not setting up for breakfast before the end of the evening service. All this made it not really a couples destination for dining. Azure the Italian was closed in the evening, perhaps as the hotel was not full. I would guess this would have been a nice alternative. With one restaurant closed it would have been great if there were more bar food available, especially as the restaurant and kitchen were just below the bar. The one disappointment that stood out was that there was unfinished villas on the hillside that were unsightly to the eye. The villas are for sale, the outside is complete but the inside was just a shell. We had asked six months in advance for specific villas if possible from the plan that we were given by the hotel. The hotel said they would do their best to reserve these for us but it turned out our preferred options had not even been built. Whilst this did not spoil our holiday the hotel could have been more transparent in their communication, receiving an email with alternatives a few days before arrival added to our stress and was a poor first impression. To be fair there was no construction noise or other inconvenience, you just did not want to see unfinished properties. With a little thought the hotel could easily have done more to disguise the view but I would guess they did not want to until a buyer had been found. Where the villas had been sold the gardens and upkeep were lovely. The landscaping was also very pleasant and colourful in all other areas over the resort. After our complaint the resort upgraded us which helped a little, but the ugly unfinished villas still remained in full sight. WiFi was available all over the resort, it was free and always a good speed. Our villa host Lan was very good, she was so friendly, full of smiles, helpful, offering assistance efficiently whenever we needed it. Nothing was too much trouble. Our heartfelt thanks to you Lan. Ngoc in Saffron was also an absolute star. She was a truly wonderful and amazing host. So professional, she always made sure we had everything we needed with supreme grace and style. She smiled and made us laugh. A wonderful warm person and perfect memory for us of the Vietnamese people. So the big question, would we recommend? It's a great property, inside the villas are immaculate as are all areas of the resort. The staff were super friendly and always happy to help. The downside was the unfinished villas, the location far away from the sites (which we knew about pre arrival) and the evening dining choice which other than Saffron as a couple left the nights a little empty. We personally prefer a more intimate setting but of course we are all different. Overall therefore our rating is very good, subject to the above issues we would certainly recommended.
