We stayed in a 3 bedroom oceanview villa. The vistas are stunning and the oceanview villas are furthest away from the lobby but it is quieter, more private with an uninterrupted view of the Lang Co Beach, ocean and mountains. Location is a 10/10. The hour drive to Lang Co from Da Nang Airport was worth it. There is nothing around the hotel outside and the hotel is remote and secluded - so this hotel is suitable for those who want a relaxing vacation and expect to spend most of their time inside the resort or golf next door at the Laguna Golf Club. We chose this hotel because it was in a mid point between Hue and Da Nang. The 3 bedroom pool villa is stunning. Also, for the scale, the price is very competitive. Banyan tree guests can also access the restaurants at the Angsana hotel next door. Since the Banyan tree is all villas, the in-villa menu for food and drinks is quite extensive, with options for do-it-yourself cocktail packages and bbq packages. You can really just shut out the world and enjoy your time in the villa here. There were a lot of positives here but some minor service hiccups that made our stay not as seamless as it could have been. Firstly, the email exchanges with reservations was far too numerous to confirm simple things such as airport pickup co-ordinations or information regarding activities or tours the property featured. Replies were exhaustingly slow and after some time I felt I was the one chasing the hotel team to respond. Comparatively the Laguna golf club reservations desk responded much faster with more accuracy and promptness than the Banyan. Expect to double check and triple check a lot of bookings here. You get assigned a villa host - who is not really a butler but like an extra interface with front desk - a co-ordinator more like. I am still not sure what value this added to our stay except adding another layer of unnecessary lag time for requests. It may be useful for guests who require additional language assistance but I did not find it particularly helpful. Most of the time I ended up contacting the front desk, the spa, the golf club directly instead as I found it to be more efficient. Also there isnt a lot of proactiveness demonstrated from the staff here in this property. They expect you to be proactively requesting things and searching through their directory via their QR code to book things you want instead. There is a lot of DIY-ing here in this property and nothing is really personalized. Double check everything since the reservations team do get things wrong....and informations are not communicated clearly sometimes. We enjoyed Azura, the Vietnamese restaurant and the bar often during our stay. The themed bbq and buffet nights at Azura were memorable but also the set dinner menu at the Vietnamese restaurant was enjoyable too. Prices are inflated but the quality and variety was there to justify them in our opinion. If you love wine, I'd recommend you bring your own bottles to the resort and pay for corkage at the restaurants instead. Wine list is limited and prices are high for what they are. The bar has some unique cocktails - the mixologists seemed very creative and passionate. Gym is pathetically small. So, do not expect to stay here for the gym. However, I would recommend a private yoga session with the resident Yogi Ravi. He is legit good, focusing on body movement. He will definitely fold you in ways you never knew you could. The spa is good. The therapy rooms could use some deep cleaning though....I felt the communal slippers were overused and greasy from massage oils used on prior patrons and the floors were slippery from oils. The therapists insisted I use the slippers but honestly they looked and felt nasty. My other family members enjoyed the massages however I felt mine was just ok. I did not like having my face massaged as part of the program....felt it was a little unnecessary and wasnt fully comfortable having my face rubbed with something I didnt know. A lot of the activities offered are on their directory. But you do need to double check the details. Sometimes its not correct. Such as a candle making class - on the Directory it was at Banyan but the villa host confirmed it was at Angsana etc. Backend processes arent aligned as much as it should it seemed. In-villa dining team was exemplary however. One day we ordered breakfast to the villa and the delivery and set-up was impeccable for a party of 5 adults. A single service member went back and forth 5 times to set everything up for us with a smile. The in-villa bbq with a chef was also extremely memorable. I did not expect them to decorate the balcony with lights and flowers on the table. The meats were marinated a little tad too sweet for our palate though - so if you dont want it that way, best to alert the team prior. Housekeeping comes in a large army. And they do clean everything. However, they do not change the bed linens unless you instruct them to prior. We had some issues where pool towels and regular towels were not replenished after being removed often - so there was some inconsistency there. Overall, it was a good stay. A lot can be forgiven but there are a lot of minor things that piled up that prevented this from feeling like a relaxing and seamless stay.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay at Banyan Tree within few days. One of the highlights of my visit in Hue was the exceptional service provided by the staff. I would especially like to thank the Front Office team, including Jade, Man, Tuan, Nhi, and Hao. They were always welcoming, attentive, and willing to help whenever I had questions or needed assistance. Their professionalism and warm hospitality made my stay much more enjoyable. I would also like to recognize Vinh and Linh from the Bellman team. They were friendly, helpful, and always made me feel comfortable, small conversations with them were highlights. Really appreciate those i couldn't remember their names, yet they offered outstanding services. Excellent service can make a significant difference in a guest's experience, and this team truly delivered. Thank you for making my stay so pleasant. Would love to visit this spot again in the next two years.

My experience in Banyan tree was just awesome! After 3 days in Danang city my husband and I were exhausted from the heat and noise. However the moment we walked in the Banyan tree lobby that was just like heaven. I looked around the place and realized that I should have stayed here entire time. First thing that impressed me the most is a tranquil and peaceful environment with thoughtfully organized landscaping. My husband and I stayed at the villa with a private pool where we could swim every day. Villa was just my dream getaway bungalow. Not only was it beautiful but spotless clean thanks to twice a day housekeeping. I also enjoyed the fresh fruit and cookies along with the glasses water bottles. Most importantly we were very lucky to have our host manager Man. The moment we arrived there he welcomed us with a big smile and guided us to enjoy Banyan tree completely. He prepared our special birthday event with a nice cake with hand crafted picture frame and nice decoration. Every time we need anything he never said no to us. From the beginning to the last day he always seemed to enjoy helping us. I wanted to say again thank you from my heart. ❤️ My husband and I had a wonderful time together thanks to you. Another wow moment was breakfast. I’ve been many 5 star places and I must say Banyantree breakfast was the top so far. We truly enjoyed fresh salad and salmon. Especially egg benedict was two thumbs up. 👍 If you want to have the best Vietnamese dish you should definitely try noodles. My little criticism was coffee. I liked how they made but didn’t like the beans they used. I think the best coffee was inside the villa complimentary illy coffee. Other than that everything was perfect. I’m already looking forward to a next visit. We can clearly see why they won 2 Michellan keys.

We had a fabulous five day break at the Banyan Tree resort. On arrival we were greeted by our host, Mi, who looked after us brilliantly through our stay. She went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and checked in on us each morning in case we needed assistance with bookings etc. The sea view villa was beautiful and well equipped. We enjoyed the restaurants on site and also a couple of the restaurants at the sister resort next door. If I had any suggestions it would be perhaps to improve the on site gym- as it’s quite small for the size of the hotel. But you can also use the gym in the adjoining hotel if you prefer- so it wasn’t a big problem. Overall a fabulous hotel, location and incredible staff. The best part of our Vietnam holiday!
