The emotions of love cocktail menu included 'Sulky' Created using botanicals of gin paired with the Shiso leaf and using some absinthe for depth and lychee syrup for floral notes a perfect cocktail for the sundown ceremony performed each night in the hotel. Guests are welcomed by all staff from the buggy drivers to the staff in the restaurants and the guest managers Man and Daniel who help you make use of all the facilities. I would recommend a trip into Hue to see the Palace of the Kings and taking a massage and a round of golf. Experience a cooking class and food in the excellent Saffron fine dining restaurant. A special family holiday !

Our family spent 3 luxurious nights at Banyan Tree, Lang Co. Our stay was so relaxing as we had our own personal concierge person, named Jade. Jade was there any time of day or night to help us for booking activities, restaurants or arranging things we needed at the villa. All of the staff were so friendly and made us all feel very special. The resort is well spaced out so apart from breakfast time, we only saw a handful of people each day. The level of service at Banyan Tree was the best we have encountered. Would highly recommended for a special few days away.

This place deserves 5 stars in every possible sense of the word. Incredible property, top notch amenities, brilliant food, and most importantly, stellar hospitality. Huge shout out to every member of the staff but especially Jade. She was clutch - We left behind our passport and realized it only at the airport. She arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport just in time for our flight. Highly highly recommend this place

We had an amazing experience here! The villas were incredible, as was the service. Every single staff member was kind, helpful, and friendly. And the food was DELICIOUS! Our honeymoon was perfect. Special shout out to Jennie who went above and beyond.

The Banyan Tree Resort, on the east coast of Vietnam on Chan May Bay, is perfect if you are looking to escape from the real world and be thoroughly spoiled. From complete privacy in your room to spa sessions, yoga to jet skiing, or beach/poolside lounging with your summer read and a steady supply of drinks and food on offer, it has something for everyone. The six of us Hong Kong ex-pats have been visiting Thailand for decades, as well as Vietnam. But this is the first time we’ve tried this resort, which encompasses 3 separate resorts all on one GI-NOR-MOUS property. I’m writing this from a private villa (bigger than my first 1-bedroom apartment) looking past our lovely pool/jacuzzi combo by our cabana, out to the Bay. Water sparkling, birds chirping, the occasional half-dressed tourist in the distance, trudging through the sand in 30° heat. It is downright lovely. To celebrate my birthday, my husband made reservations for our party of 6 at the Saffron Thai restaurant here at the resort. Yes, there’s a dress code, but no worries, you are greeted at the door by an array of beautiful sarongs to choose from should you be wearing shorts. Our starters were SO FANTASTIC, we ordered more, then went right to dessert because we could. The entire staff, from the servers at the fancy restaurant to the army of groundskeepers, are all lovely, helpful and warm. Three days in, Hubby and I spent 15 minutes on jet skis (Sea-Doos, in fact…BRAND NEW ones) and it was a blast! We’ve always steered clear of those on offer in Thailand due to stories of tourists being scammed or blamed for damage they didn’t do. But here, we felt completely safe, and the water was wonderfully calm and easy for this first-timer to navigate. Later, we enjoyed a couple’s massage that lasted 90 minutes and was part of our room package. We left feeling wobbly and oh-so-relaxed. But the highlight of the day was a BBQ dinner at our villa for the 6 of us. They started setting up about 2 hours in advance, and by the time everyone arrived we had a chef and 2 servers, drinks, tiki torches, fairy lights, and a nice big round table with 6 chairs. We had a great time and it was definitely a highlight of the week. You may be saying to yourself, “C’mon, it can’t be all *that* perfect, Jodi. Surely you are in that rose-tinted world of holiday euphoria after another high-intensity final semester of teaching and would enthuse over someone making you a bowl of cereal to a backdrop of Yacht Rock, no teens in sight.” Fair enough. I am giddy. It’s true. But here are the downsides: Wifi in the room is poopoo compared to back home, let’s be honest. Silver lining? I can’t spend hours scrolling, so that’s good. Also, we decided to try the restaurant at the hotel/resort next door, just to mix things up. We had 6pm reservations and were one of the first tables to be seated. However, we were one of the last to leave as, frankly, our meals were simply forgotten. We agreed to have our meals brought out as they were prepared, rather than all at once. So, burgers were delivered quickly, but by the time the grilled veggie plate was delivered *30 minutes later* (and only after I’d asked), it was cold and had congealed. There was a large table of 12 that arrived after us for dinner and left before we did. The bathrooms adjacent to the restaurant, unlike those here at Banyan Tree, smelled bad by comparison. Yes, the common-area bathrooms at Banyan Tree are hands down the *best smelling* ever! They’re equipped with air con, showers, towels, lotion, hair products, etc. Anyway, the staff at the restaurant apologized with a plate of fresh watermelon, which we appreciated, but we agreed to stay closer to home for our meals. Yes, the private villas with their manicured lawns and tropical hedges are eerily like a gated community in Palm Beach, Florida, and the pontoon rides along the lagoon are begging for some dad joke shtick, ala Disney’s River Boat ride, but when you taste the food and are greeted so warmly by everyone, you know it runs deeper than a façade, and the Vietnamese tradition of graciousness, kindness, and hospitality are the ingredients that make this oasis truly amazing.
