We stayed at a one bedroom seaview hill pool villa. It's on the side of the hill - the type you see on fancy magazines - big step up for us. It was SUPER nice and HUGE. We stayed for 6 nights, so we got a decent amount of time to experience what Banyan Lang Co had to offer. Our first night, we arrived pretty late and was greeted by Sunny, and despite being so late, he was very cheerful and patient in explaining things to do during our stay. Quick note, from Da Nang airport it takes about 1 hr drive to get there - a bit of a slog. We got a grab from the airport, but Banyan does offer a shuttle and private car service. The grab was fine, but i think it was a bit tough on the grab driver driving there and back so late - we probably would have asked for the private car in hindsight. Our villa was in an ideal location for us. It wasn't too far where you had to call for a buggy all the time, so we often walked often back and forth. Everytime we saw staff, they ALWAYS greeted us - this is throughout the entire Banyan. You'd think that there was lots of mosquitoes but we didn't get bitten once, so whatever they do to the grounds is working. There are the usual geckos/lizards, but nothing unusual. Oh, there was this pretty big water snake one time when we were doing yoga at the pavilion, but it was more scared than us and didn't stick around. It didn't bother any of us doing yoga - we were totally at one with nature - the resort being where we are, it's to be expected to see wildlife you wouldn't normally see. The room has a Bose sound system that has bluetooth so you can connect up your phone to it. There were two TVs that have HDMI so you can connect up your laptop for some Netflix. Wifi, isn't bad, actually better than i thought given the villas remoteness. There are plenty of wall sockets - they're international, so we didn't need adaptors for UK plugs. The breakfast is buffet style, from western and asian food. There are healthy options too. There is also the usual egg station, where you can get your omelette or scrambled egg fix. There is also a pho station too. One thing that is unique is that you can make your own 'bloody mary's' too. There's champagne on tap too. This is minor, but one of my 'things' is to have a really good croissant, unfortunately they weren't quite up to my liking - they weren't crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Anyways, we were very well fed. In fact, we don't often stay at breakfast for more than 30 mins at other villas, but we stayed for almost 2 hrs on most days. The atmosphere was relaxing, no rush, wasn't lots of people, so it wasn't noisy, just chilling with a viet coffee and just picking at our food before heading to chill some more at the villa. We like to keep active when on holiday, so we frequented the gym, which is open 24 hrs. It's not huge, but what they had in there was good enough to work off some off the rich food we had. We ate at most of the restaurants at the Banyan. Watercourt for Vietnamese, this is also where breakfast is. This wasn't bad, but it's not cheap - actually it was our most expensive at the Banyan. Seedlings, this was very nice indeed and the initiative behind it cool too. The best, is definitely the Saffron. We LOVE Thai food. To be honest, we were thinking of not going because we knew it would be expensive, but it actually ended up being the cheapest of them all, believe it or not. We ordered the Massaman curry - this was INCREDIBLE. The meat was very tender - mouth is watering just thinking back now. Definitely recommend. Our server, Ngoc was very nice too, she was always smiling too which is nice to see when having a nice meal - again the little things... she patiently explained everything to us despite being pretty busy that night. Sunny told explained to us that we would be greeted by a host at breakfast the following morning and we did, by Dao. She was super nice too, her English is very good. She is very attentive and observant of your needs - she has a little notebook, making notes as she talks to you :). She gave us a Nokia phone - the type that lasts weeks, so that if we get stuck in town or need anything, she could help us. If she couldn't catch us at breakfast, she would call up and ask if we needed anything. We usually pretty fuss free so we don't ask for anything, but one time, we just fancied some fruit, as we were getting hot after being in the sun for so long and she arranged for some mangoes to be sent to our villa. The following day i told her about how nice they were and how much i loved mangoes she arranged for our breakfast pack to have cut mangoes so we could have on the journey to the airport. This might seem minor, but it's these little things that make a difference. We didn't call on her much, but when we did, such as for a firmer mattress or a car to Da Nang, it was hassle free and it was just done. When you want to have relaxing time, and there's someone like Dao around to call on if need and gets things done with no fuss is great. Sunny was working different shifts during our stay, so it was always nice to see him either in morning or night. He would always come over and greet us and ask how we're doing. Dao sorted most of our things our, but it was just nice to talk to Sunny and learn more about the resort and some tips about getting around the place. To be honest, we go to many villas and not often do staff come over and just chat - maybe we just don't look the chatty type ha ha... Anyways, again, because he did, it made the experience feel a little more authentic - costs nothing but we feel like more valued as a customer. On a similar note, we managed to have a chat with Brett (the guy who runs the place) one time at breakfast too, which was nice. I actually didn't know who he was but there was a Vietnamese magazine with someone who looked like him on the glossy cover - it was Brett. My Vietnamese is non-existent so i didn't know what the article was about, but i was interested and he came back shortly with a translated version for me to learn more about him and his thoughts on the Banyan. We also met the food and beverage manager, Kailash who we met at the complimentary management drinks and canapes one of the evenings we stayed out, we had a good chat about different cuisines and about the restaurants at the Banyan. The Banyan is very close to another resort, Angsana. The two are part of the same group so you eat at one and charge back to the other etc... The activities are also shared, so we met some people when we were doing Yoga from Angsana too. We often rode bikes over there instead of getting a buggy at it's not a long ride. Bikes at both places are the same so i don't think it matters if someone else takes your bike whilst your at one place - just get another one at the front. There is a golf-course by Angsana - were't not golfers, so we didn't play any golf, but the building where the golfers hang out is really nice. Anyways, if you've made it this far, well done. i've gone on long enough. Nice one Brett - you have a solid team and run a pretty tight ship! Memorable experience - check!

We stayed in a 3 bedroom hillside villa and the views and location were simply magnificent. The villa was so vast and roomy it did not feel like a hotel at all. The staff service was 100% effort and if things didn't go to plan then there was an immediate response to rectify. Would stay again.

Not normally the sort to go back to the same place twice but our experience of Banyan Tree Lang Co 12 months ago was so good that a return visit was never in Question. 12 months on and the experience was just as good. This time around we opted for a Seaview Hill Villa. We couldn't have made a better choice as the views from the room were quite simply stunning. The villa was luxuriously furnished throughout, private and with easy access to the resorts bars, restaurants and beach. Golf buggies are on call and plentiful if you don't fancy the walk to / from ground level. Waking up to a room filled with sunlight, stunning views of the bay and the leisurely approach to an unhurried breakfast (with champagne) was the perfect start to the day. The choice and quality of food is quite simply stunning and the friendly service from a happy and motivated team just adds to the whole experience. After a days sunbathing by your private pool the complimentary afternoon tea in your villa was always welcome, with a different Vietnamese snack and desert to sample each day; just enough to carry you through to your evening meal where you have a great choice of restaurants offering different options but all are outstanding in terms of quality and service. For amazing Thai food in a beautiful cliff top location, Saffron remains an absolute must. Seedlings Restaurant provides a great opportunity for the next generation of Chefs, Front of House and Bar Staff to get invaluable experience and at the same time serve up some tremendous food - We ate there twice and both meals were top class. The twice weekly 'evening drinks' provides an opportunity to share your holiday experiences and ideas with other guests and the very approachable Senior Management Team The staff at Banyan Tree appear to have one objective in mind and that is to make your stay as perfect as it could possibly be. Banyan Tree Lang Co gets it right in the detail, it's always the small things and the personalisation that makes the big difference to your holiday experience and everyone at Banyan Tree is focused on getting the detail absolutely spot on - Thanks for an amazing stay 10 / 10

a lovely hotel on a great beach, all bungalow accommodation, and they are stunning, we had a hill side villa, probably the nicest I have stayed in, it was great, lovely views and very quiet, hardly overlooked at all. Buggee service from reception to the rooms worked well. Couple of downsides, there was never enough outside dinning space, especially at breakfast - which incidentally was great, and the quality of the bikes was lousy, dangerous in fact. Also they wont let you out laguna without a helmet, but they don't tell you that when you borrow the bike. If you want to do the beach dinning make sure you book early, as its reasonably priced, and they only do one table, which not surprisingly gets booked up quickly Great beach, we arrive on full moon, so they do a lovely drinks reception on the beach, which was nice. lots of dining options

It was like a paradise, the location, the view, the food, the activities. And the best service imaginable. We wanted to come back as soon as possible, and have already book the next trip. There are some minor things, like wear and tear, here and there, but nothing that can take away a perfect score.
