Reviews for Banyan Tree Lang Co
A high end low density, well designed/landscaped resort based around villas that are tastefully furnished and private. Whilst not as good or expensive as the Nam Hai/Four seasons its nice and worth a visit especially if you want to use the golf course. Staff are very polite/accommodating, go in the dry season to reduce the risk of bad weather and as long as you like the more remote location from Danang/Hoi An you will have a very relaxing holiday
About an hour from Da Nang airport lies a little paradise called Banyan Tree Lang Co. Our lagoon-facing villa became our home for more than a week. This is tranquil luxury. A gentle pace that washes away any travel or life woes. Our villa No.172 backed onto the most idyllic view of the lagoon. Lazily 12 white ducks glided by in the day time and at night a gentle chorus of perhaps amphibian friends punctuated the night and pleasantly entertained us with their unfamiliar calls. Well we are Londoners after all. Our villa had its own pool, which in sunnier climes would have afforded us respite from others if we chose. Incidentally May is a brilliant time to go. Though we were there over the new year the sun chose not to shine. Sadly. This was the only thing that disappointed us on our stay. The food is sublime. Breakfast a veritable spread of both Western and Asian food helped down by limitless champagne if required. I kind of got into the habit of bubbles at dawn. As we were there for NYE we enjoyed a set meal up at their Saffron restaurant, which serves Thai cuisine. Again did not disappoint. The Balinese massage we had on our arrival was out of this world. The serenity of the therapists didn’t really prepare us for the powerful massages they gave. Guaranteed bliss. Do it. We did and did it again. The staff are friendly, courteous, helpful in every possible way. Each villa has a host assigned to it to cater for every whim. They arrange everything from afternoon tea to afternoon excursions and even in my case a trip to the on-sight clinic following a chest infection that would not abate. Hoi An and the Citadel in Hue are both within easy reach for a day trip again so worth the time. And the shuttles there are free. A final note is that the Azzura restaurant on the premises runs a worthy programme that trains young chefs and front of house staff, inducting them into the world of food and hospitality. Overall we loved Banyan Tree. The resort is sympathetically created within it’s natural environment. Beautiful lanquid gardens and yoga a few times a week. Incidentally the yoga studio is very near Villa 172 too. Oh and the President of Vietnam dropped in too, or so we were told. Good enough for him…

It rained but it didn’t matter. The service staff are incredible - so solicitous & kind & gracious. Dao took phenomenal care of us personally but all the staff are warm & attentive & friendly. The food was terrific & the villa was simply lovely. We had a fantastic stay of 7 nights & were genuinely sad to leave. We would warmly recommend the Banyan Tree at Lang Co. We want to return when the sun is shining!

My family and I were really excited to be staying at the Banyan Tree during our break. We booked a 3 bedroom villa, which turned out to be a pretty bad decision. The villa is gorgeous, but very annoyingly situated on a very steep hill. It's impossible to walk to, so everytime you want to go to or from the villa, you have to call a buggy, which can take 10 mins to get up there. There were also multiple things broken in the villa - remote control not working, light bulbs out, fridge flooding etc - that although they were fixed quickly, it was annoying to have to call them in all the time. We were also disappointed with the service at the resort. When we checked in, they actually took us to the wrong villa, and when we pointed out that it only had 2 bedrooms, instead of 3, the check in person just brushed it off and said she'd look into it later but we shouldn't worry. Then 2 mins later, the family who booked the 2 bedroom villa arrived, so the check in person rushed us out, telling us to leave our drinks behind, not apologizing to either us, or the other family who walked into a mess. Also, we were supposed to have an assigned butler, but he didn't introduce himself till the 2nd day. Then whenever we wanted to find him, he was never available. All in all, we were disappointed with a lot of things during our stay. We would definitely recommend staying at the Angsana instead, since you have access to the same amenties for far less cost.

We expected sunshine. The weather was foul and it rained everyday. The sea was very rough and watersport was out of the question. The staff were trying to be helpful but nothing could change the weather. I was told that Christmas is the peak season. Perhaps this Christmas was unusual. The food and venue at BT was not up to the usually high BT standard. It was even better at the nearby affiliated mass market Angsana hotel.
