Las Vegas is a city that redefines the meaning of the word superlative, and Bellagio stands among the very best. From the moment you enter the palatial lobby, veiled in 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers, bliss is yours. Beautiful guest rooms and dazzling estate-style suites triumphantly encapsulate luxury, while Spa Bellagio bathes you in sheer indulgence. A plethora of gourmet dining selections features some of the finest restaurants in the country, including the AAA Five-Diamond Award-winning Le Cirque and Picasso.

This was not our first time staying at Bellagio in Las Vegas. After staying there this summer, we can definitely say that this is a hotel/casino that is in a stage of decline. So many issues, too many to mention all of them. The one common thread is that the hotel seems more interested in making decisions that make their life ('their' meaning the employees and management) easier, more pleasing and relaxing, than providing a quality top-tier experience for the customers. After several hours of driving, we were welcomed to Bellagio with a 2-1/2 hour wait for our room, and a not-so-friendly employee at check-in. This was in the afternoon on a weekday. The last time this happened to us on a Vegas trip was in 1991 at Circus Circus! Apparently this was not a unique situation for that day, either. Every day when passing through the lobby there was a huge line with several patrons waiting around (with luggage in tow) for their rooms. See photo of glassware inside bathroom after housekeeping had made a visit...eww! The air conditioning was practically non-existent in our room. No matter what you would set the thermostat on, it would never get below 70-71 degrees, but it actually felt much warmer and stuffier. And we were there in June, during a week that was pretty cool by Vegas standards, so this is really inexcusable. When you have older guests with health conditions, this makes for a very miserable stay and uncomfortable sleeping at night. Interestingly enough, the casino was almost uncomfortably cold. The parking lot was about 99.8% full for 2 of the days we were there. Not quite sure what the deal was with that. With the exception of the MLife Desk and the casino, the majority of the staff at Bellagio seemed to have a less than positive attitude about their jobs and the customers. What they need to remember is that most people are there on a vacation, and are there to relax, not just to provide employment for them. Most years we opt to stay at other properties on the strip, but we thought this year we would "splurge" and "treat ourselves" once again to the high end luxury atmosphere that comes only with staying at Bellagio. What we found this year is that they are really no better than any of the others, the only difference here is the price tag.

Luxurious prices without the luxury. I can self check in… you are even forced to then create your own room keys. Even with check-in assistance… give me your ID and CC… absolutely no information was offered. There is no section of the check-in desk to ask a question. Heaven forbid I needed something I forgot or oh a bottle of water. NOPE, no place for that. When it slowed down a little; I was able to request a bottle of water and was asked what level of rewards member I was. Beyond extremely disappointing!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Perfection is hard to improve upon. From beginning to end, my stay was pure pleasure and enjoyment. Every detail made the experience truly memorable. Bellagio is the perfect destination for any occasion and was nothing short of exceptional.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sunday thru Friday stay at Bellagio. We enjoyed the quiet pool each morning from 9-12 (before it got too hot) then spent the remainder of the day exploring LV. The hotel is well-positioned on The Strip for easy access to the tram or walking. The public spaces in the hotel are beautiful and the atrium is quite something. This summer it was beautifully decorated with animals including elephants, giraffes and flamingos. The rooms are nicely appointed with modern amenities.
