Magnificent stay at the Bellagio

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 19 hours ago

Everything you need to know about a stay at the Bellagio in a two-minute read. Hopefully this review will help you prepare and set your expectations. First, I read several negative reviews on Trip Advisor that initially gave me some hesitation about booking the Bellagio. I quickly noticed that of the 5 negative reviews, those reviewers had a combined total of 7 contributions so don’t let a few rancorous riffraff types cloud the fact the Bellagio is a bonified lux property. That said, there are a few areas where guests should set realistic expectations. The Disney size crowds. We were there Memorial Day weekend and the “zoo factor” was huge. If you are planning your stay on a holiday weekend or during a major event, the hotel may struggle with service at particular touch points starting with the 32 minutes, yes timed, wait to drop off your car in valet parking upon arrival. I would recommend self-parking, saving you $15 per day plus tip and the wait. In room coffee: The hotel was very upfront, as documented in a welcome e-mail, that rooms do not have coffee machines. If you relish your morning coffee you need to buck up and order in room breakfast as while there is a Starbucks and two other places to grab coffee, both the Bellagio Patisserie and Café Gelato had wait times of 34 and 27 minutes respectively the two mornings I was a guest…..sorry are just unacceptable wait times. How about an express line for just coffee? If you are a Marriott Bonvoy member, you’ll appreciate the dedicated check in/check out line. While there is some type of loose affiliation between MGM and Marriott, the rewards program is slanted toward MGMs. Regardless of your Bonvoy status, don’t expect much in the upgrade department; the hotel is very upfront about these expectations as communicated in a pre-arrival email to Bonvoy members. Our room was spacious and clean and yes, the mini bar amenities are excruciatingly expensive as one should expect. We dined one evening at Prime. Get an outside table if you can - weather permitting; the view is incredible. Food was well prepared. Wine list is extensive and a tad spendee. Each interaction with staff was pleasant and professional. A fabulous hotel and a great stay!

Simple and Seamless Check In

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 23 hours ago

When my husband and I arrived we were greeted by Kyle F. at the front desk. He was very friendly, courteous and professional. He made our check in process very simple and seamless. We are also celebrating our anniversary so he also made that special for us by congratulating us and giving us two red roses and chocolates. After a long day of travel we appreciated the seamless check in and friendly service.

Disappoiting - not what I've come to expect.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I must admit, I was disappointed. I've stayed at Bellagio several times, but this visit felt stripped down and basic. Reservation included a room upgrade (if available) but I was told there were no upgraded rooms available upon check in. My room had a view of a parking lot and the "Do Not Disturb" hang tag was missing. The bed was extremely comfortable as always, but when I went into the closet expecting the usual robe and slippers, there were broken hangers, no slippers, and the robe was threadbare. No in-room coffee and literally five TV channels to choose from. Went into the bathroom and found ZERO ammenities. No bar soap, mouthwash, or cotton swabs - none of the standard niceties that I had come to expect. The casino was jammed with people with extremely high gaming minimums, and the line to eat breakfast had a minimum 45 minute wait each morning. At this point, Bellagio has become an over-priced, 3-star hotel. Truly disappointing.

Solid Vegas Stay, Better for Leisure Than Business

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I stayed at the Bellagio for three days during the N&B Conference in 2026. It was a busy time in Las Vegas, and the hotel definitely felt active throughout the stay. I usually stay at the Wynn, but wanted to give Bellagio a chance this time. Overall, it was a good stay for a couple of days, especially if you are visiting for leisure, but I would be more hesitant to choose it again for a work-focused trip. Spa The spa was under construction during my stay, so I wasn’t able to really experience it or form a fair opinion. That was a bit disappointing, especially at a hotel like Bellagio where you expect the amenities to be part of the overall experience, but I understand renovations happen. Room The room itself was clean, organized, and comfortable. I had a nice view of the fountains, which was definitely one of the highlights of the stay. That said, you can still hear the fountain music from the room, so travelers who are sensitive to noise may want to keep that in mind. One unexpected downside was the TV setup. There were no streaming service apps available, which made it difficult to watch anything casually in the room. I ended up going to Best Buy in Las Vegas to buy a streaming device, but even then the experience wasn’t ideal because the Wi-Fi kept stalling. For a hotel at this level, especially with so many guests traveling for conferences or work, the in-room entertainment setup felt behind what I’ve seen at other properties. Room Service Room service was always great in terms of quality and service. The food took around 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive, which is longer than ideal, but the person who delivered it explained that they were short staffed and that it was a busy time of year. Given the conference crowds, that was understandable. The experience was still positive overall, but it’s worth planning ahead if you’re ordering and already hungry. Wi-Fi Quality The Wi-Fi was acceptable for basic use, but not especially reliable for work. It felt inconsistent and slower compared with other hotels around the Strip. This was one of the bigger drawbacks for me because I was there during a conference and needed dependable internet. For casual browsing it was fine, but for streaming or work calls, it was not as strong as I would have expected. Pool The pool area was great, and the staff there were really helpful. Unfortunately, we had a couple of windy days, so we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we might have otherwise. Still, it was nice to spend some time there, and the service around the pool was one of the better parts of the stay. Breakfast Breakfast can require some planning. I would strongly recommend making reservations because the wait can be long. We waited about 45 minutes to be seated for breakfast. That may be expected during a busy conference period, but it is still something future guests should know, especially if they have meetings or plans in the morning. Staff The staff were really helpful throughout the stay. Whenever we needed assistance, they were responsive and professional. Even when things were not perfect, like the room service delay, the staff communicated clearly and handled the situation well. Overall Bellagio is still a solid hotel for a short stay, especially if you want the classic Las Vegas atmosphere and a room with a fountain view. The property was clean, the staff were helpful, the pool was enjoyable, and room service was good despite the delay. That said, I would not consider it the best option for a work trip. The Wi-Fi was inconsistent, the lack of streaming apps in the room was inconvenient, and breakfast required a long wait without a reservation. I also found that there were not many casual dining options inside the hotel, so we often felt like we needed to leave the property to find something more relaxed. For a couple of days in Vegas, Bellagio can work well. For a conference or work-heavy stay, I would probably compare it carefully with other hotels on the Strip before booking again. The Wynn never dissapoints, so I will most likely stay there.

Immediate Favorite

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We recently stayed for 5 days and 4 nights and it was perfect. The blackjack tables were approachable for a first timer (and reasonable during the day), room service was delicious, sushi at Yellowfish was excellent, and more than anything we spent the whole trip saying "everyone is so nice?!". Every staff member from Erik at check in to Cheyenne at the pool and Rick, Dakota, Jaime, and Edward at the Baccarat bar (our favorite place to lounge throughout) was upbeat and helpful. We visited some other hotels/casinos but didn't find any we liked better, this will definitely be our go-to on future visits.
