Vegas was awesome, we went to the Sphere to see the Wizard of Oz and it was terrific.

Unsanitary Room and Poor Housekeeping

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Crowded hotel. We checked in late, and when I opened the bed, the sheets were disgusting—there was pubic hair all over them. At night, the staff said they couldn’t change the sheets due to being short-staffed. The next day, I asked housekeeping to change the sheets. Instead, they only made the bed, leaving the dirty sheets on. When we spoke to a housekeeper, she admitted that sometimes they only tie up the beds and miss changing the sheets between guests. Absolutely disgusting.

The bellagio but not sadly as you remember it

We have been loyal bellagio customers for over 20 years, it was their customer service that brought us back every time. We fly from Ireland and it’s always worth the trip, unfortunately things have changed, we booked a suite for 7 nights and to our surprise there were no perks to booking a suite, no skipping lines in the house resturants the priority check in was not open as our flight got us in after midnight. In the past customer service would check in to see if you needed anything but this time radio silence no one ever checked in on us, this was only odd because before the customer service was excellent. The final straw was that our request for a late check out was not recorded when we arrived and when we enquired we were told the latest we could check out was midday, as our international flight was at 6 in the evening this was very disappointing as it has never been a problem in the past. Our friends stayed at the wynn and had a wonderful experience , unfortunately we will no longer stay at the belliagio as the MGM mega brand have taken the luxury out of the hotel and brand power has replaced customer service with boosting profits. Such a pity the services and bar staff are excellent as is the house keeping staff but the profit before customer service takes the sparkle off this once great hotel

Great place to stay.

We stayed in a fountain view Sloan suite on the 15th floor. It was great. Nice view. Good size room with chair and sofa. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Nice large bathroom and separate toilet which is automatic and heated, as long as there’s power. I don’t gamble, but I spent $200 a day on the VIP arrival experience. We were met at the airport by a professional driver, and took an Escalade to the hotel. We were greeted on arrival, given our keys, and accompanied to the VIP lounge. When we left, a driver met us at the valet stand at a time we scheduled, and we were taken to a separate close in spot for drop off at the airport. After reading about check in delays, it was worth it. VIP is nice, but not a buffet. You can get coffee and drinks and a limited snack, but for us that was ok. It came in handy a couple of times. Nice places to sit and take a break from walking or standing. There is a separate room elevator in the lounge, but the room I booked didn’t have it available. I would book directly with reservations to look into that next time. It’s still a bit of a walk to the elevator and room from the lounge. We ordered room service breakfast, classic, with a table. Excellent food, delivered on time. We had some leftover fruit and pastries, so we ordered a little less the next day. There was just enough room to store the leftovers in the room refrigerator for the next day. Fountains were great. However, the view can’t compare to being outside at night to watch them.

Falls short of 5 stars

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Very impressive hotel, enormous in fact, it took us a few days in before we discovered all the areas in the hotel. For a five star hotel, it did lack in the extras, there was no coffee/tea making facilities available and on checking the contents of the mini bar, the prices were extortionate $14.00 for a bottle of water $9.00 for a smalls snickers, the small boxes of chocolates were $24.00. Although dressing gowns were supplied, there were no slippers or vanity accessories that come with the usual 5 stars. Some of the charging points in the bedside cabinets simply didn't work. The breakfast area (Sadells) took an hour or more queuing to just get a seat and another 30 minutes or so for anyone to bring your order. The surroundings were nice, fresh and comfortable. The buffet area was dull, outdated and didn't have that nice ambiance that you would expect, it looked old and tired. The food was ok, nothing special and the price again was extortionate, you would have to eat your own body weight to make up for the cost of food that was okay. Barely any fruit options anywhere. The main pool was closed, but they had another open and it was clean and pleasant but closed at 4pm. The music was rather annoying as it was too loud, so any thoughts of a nice read/relaxation was out. The casino areas were quite busy and if you are a smoker, you will be fine as the smell of cigarette smoke was everywhere (horrible for me). The room was very pleasant, beds were very comfortable and it was serviced daily with no issues. Does fall short of 5 stars though.
