Bellagio Has Lost What Made It Bellagio

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 hours ago

Bellagio once offered an elegant, sophisticated and distinctly adult Las Vegas experience. Much of that character is disappearing. Meetings with casino hosts once took place in a comfortable sitting room; now the hosts work out of little closets. They have also become increasingly unhelpful, while the gaming floor is being filled with worse games for players. Triple-zero roulette raises the casino's house advantage to approximately 150 percent of that found in double-zero roulette. Crapless craps is even worse: on the basic Pass Line bet, the house advantage is approximately 380 percent of that in traditional craps. These are not cosmetic changes; both substantially worsen the game for the player. Dining has also been cheapened. The loss of Picasso and Le Cirque eliminated two restaurants that helped define Bellagio as a first-class resort. The rooms increasingly lack a coherent style, with 1930s-looking sconces and ottomans clashing with contemporary furnishings. The Conservatory has become increasingly cartoonish, while a boat paddling around the lake feels more kitschy than sophisticated. The pattern is unmistakable: less elegance, less distinctive dining, worse gambling and more gimmicks. Bellagio needs to remember what made people want to stay there in the first place. If you are looking for the sophisticated experience Bellagio once offered, look to the resor

About Agoda - not the Bellagio hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Agoda are very clever, you can’t find them on trip advisor so in order to review them you have to select the hotel and make it about Agoda I booked the holiday a year in advance and have confirmation emails from Agoda that everything was paid in advance including resort tax and any surcharges. I constantly asked for confirmation by way of a receipt that they did not provide and always made and excuse. No matter when you ring, if it’s the second they open or not, it always takes about 40 minutes for someone to answer and pretend they can’t hear you then hang up. When you actually get to speak to someone who will answer you, If the questions get too difficult they will transfer you and cut you off. The customer service is shocking and they don’t care. Anyway, back to the issue. Despite assuring me via a reply to my emails that all was paid up front and not to worry, I was charged over $400 resort tax by the hotel and was told they the booking agent AGODA is not able to pay this upfront. So basically despite my numerous calls and email contact to AGODA, they lied to me about the resort tax on the phone and in writing. Stay away from this company they tell lies and just want the booking fee and when they got it they don’t care. I wouldn’t book a taxi with them. Bellagio …… sorry for your name on the title, please bring this to the attention of AGODA.

A Perfect Place to Start Our Southwest Adventure

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We stayed at the Bellagio Resort & Casino for one night before beginning our family RV trip through the Southwest, and it was a great way to kick off the vacation. The Bellagio is simply a classic Las Vegas resort. The location on the Strip is excellent, making it easy to walk around and experience Vegas without needing to go far. We especially enjoyed the pool complex. The pools and surrounding grounds are beautiful and provide a surprisingly relaxing escape from the energy of the Strip. Even with only one night at the resort, we made sure to spend some time there. And of course, there are the Bellagio Fountains. No matter how many times you’ve seen them, they’re still a treat. Watching the fountains with the Bellagio as the backdrop is one of those experiences that just feels like Las Vegas. Our stay was short, but everything about the resort—from the pools and location to the atmosphere and fountains—made it a memorable start to our trip. A beautiful resort in one of the best locations on the Strip. We would happily stay at the Bellagio again.
