Reviews for Bellagio

Falls short of 5 stars

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Very impressive hotel, enormous in fact, it took us a few days in before we discovered all the areas in the hotel. For a five star hotel, it did lack in the extras, there was no coffee/tea making facilities available and on checking the contents of the mini bar, the prices were extortionate $14.00 for a bottle of water $9.00 for a smalls snickers, the small boxes of chocolates were $24.00. Although dressing gowns were supplied, there were no slippers or vanity accessories that come with the usual 5 stars. Some of the charging points in the bedside cabinets simply didn't work. The breakfast area (Sadells) took an hour or more queuing to just get a seat and another 30 minutes or so for anyone to bring your order. The surroundings were nice, fresh and comfortable. The buffet area was dull, outdated and didn't have that nice ambiance that you would expect, it looked old and tired. The food was ok, nothing special and the price again was extortionate, you would have to eat your own body weight to make up for the cost of food that was okay. Barely any fruit options anywhere. The main pool was closed, but they had another open and it was clean and pleasant but closed at 4pm. The music was rather annoying as it was too loud, so any thoughts of a nice read/relaxation was out. The casino areas were quite busy and if you are a smoker, you will be fine as the smell of cigarette smoke was everywhere (horrible for me). The room was very pleasant, beds were very comfortable and it was serviced daily with no issues. Does fall short of 5 stars though.

Motel 6 Has Cleaner Rooms and Friendlier Staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

After a grueling check In experience I found - Poop specks in the toilet Even after requested a housecleaning (wipe down all surfaces etc) I still found: - Sticky goo on the coffee table - Burnt out light fixture - No power on bedside console - Dead clock - Broken pumps on both shampoo and conditioner bottles - Odd brown stain on the washcloth - Kleenex box containing damp tissues - Water damaged memo pad Customer service is horrible - Long waits on the phone service - Asked where is the pool? Answer: "there are several." Would not even show me on the hotel Map. Same at the concierge's desk "font's too small for me to read" they said. Didn't find an entrance to a pool until after check out. - Automated key printing - lacks hospitality, leaves folks disoriented and un-welcomed - Online help chat bot can't understand much and a live human takes forever. - Customer service on the phone, very transactional. Ask a question, the answer is no (hot tubs are not open to hotel guests). No follow up suggestion from hotel staff on other options (we do have pools and other water recreation options.) To cap off the experience after commenting on my stressful check out experience, the bellman laughed at my plight. Save your money. Stay somewhere else.

Fountains are the best!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Very large hotel, nice rooms with fountain view. Get ready to stand in line for an hour to check-in. Wonderful conservatory with changing themes seasonally. Impossible to walk into the restaurants between 6 - 8:30 pm. Even counter space is hard to come by. Everything is overpriced , even a bottle of water! Fiji water in room = $24. Smart water in room = $18.

Iconic hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Staying at the Bellagio is always a treat because the fountain show and the botanical gardens are absolutely stunning and iconic. The service throughout the hotel is professional and the location right in the heart of the Strip is perfect for exploring Las Vegas. We had a great time enjoying the luxury atmosphere and the beautiful casino area but we are giving it four stars because the rooms are starting to feel a bit dated. The furniture and decor could definitely use a renovation to match the high standards of the rest of the resort. Overall it is still a wonderful place to stay but a refresh of the guest rooms would make the experience truly perfect
