Service Inconsistencies and Unwelcoming Atmosphere at The Prime

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 20 hours ago

I’ve been a guest at MGM properties for quite some time and have noticed that my experiences vary from trip to trip. While my host has always been very kind and accommodating, the level of service from other hotel staff has been inconsistent. Additionally, I’ve observed that the atmosphere at Prime doesn’t always feel equally welcoming to all guests. In particular, the person handling the wine service seemed more attentive to certain guests than others. I ordered a $1,000 bottle of wine, and no one checked back to ask how it was — something I’ve never experienced at any other fine dining restaurant. This lack of attentiveness stood out and left a negative impression.

Always Classy!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I just love the MGM properties in Bellagio is one of my very favorites. It’s just always such a classy experience despite the heavy crowds that go through there on a regular basis. You don’t feel the crowds when you have to go to your room, though, the elevators are easy to get. The theme of the Bellagio never ages and it’s always just so classy. The rooms are always clean. I never really need anything fancy, I love that the drapes open with an automatic button. The beds are super comfortable. And blessed to get comps from my Casino play. And it makes me wanna just keep on playing there. It was also very quiet. I often need to sleep with the TV on to make some white noise against what’s going on out in the hallway, but Bellagio is super quiet. The pool is also lovely and I love having brunch out there when I stay. I meant to go to the gym and also check out the spa area as they had a sound bath noted on the website that I didn’t even get to try to check out. I walked so much over 18,000 steps into each day for two days and didn’t need to work out and could barely walk around after that lol

would only return to view the atrium and shop

Atmosphere: Waaayyyyy too much cigarette smoke in the casino and not nearly enough table games. Wonderful shopping and the most beautiful atrium. Wonderful room.

Worst Bellagio Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Of all the times I've stayed at the Bellagio (numerous times) this was the absolute worst. We checked in through the app and was given a room on the 19th floor. Come to find out the whole 19th floor is smoking rooms only! The room was disgusting, smelled of ashtray, bed was nasty, with dried blood on the sheets, bathroom sink was clogged. We only realized it was a smoking room when we came back to the room around midnight of the day of checking in because we went to see friends as soon as we dropped off our stuff in our room. The room did not smell initially but at midnight, after a few minutes that's when we started smelling cigarettes. Also found out about the bed and sink when we started to get ready for bed. Upon calling the front desk we were told checking in on the app means you will be given random rooms, as the app cannot distinguish smoking from non-smoking room preference! No rooms available to move us for the night so we had to spend the night in the room. A plumber was sent to fix the sink, house keeping to change the bedding. Needless to say, we did not get to sleep until close to 5am! The manager came to our room to take pictures and apologized profusely, the plumber gave us $75 food voucher for the inconvenience when he was done fixing the sink! The plumber! The manager didn't even have the decency to give us the voucher and asked the plumber to hand it to us! Never staying at the bellagio again after such experience! As mentioned earlier, we always stay at the bellagio every vegas trip, which is 1 to 2 times a year booking the fountain view.... never again!
