Reviews for The Signature at MGM Grand
I love this hotel. This was our second visit and I hope our third visit is sooner rather than later. Everything from check-in to check-out was amazing. At check-in, April was extremely accommodating. We arrived early (our flight landed around 8am) and although our room wasn’t ready (which we expected at such an early hour), April took all of our wishes into account and we got a perfect one bedroom suite on the 36th floor with a strip view (last visit we had a mountain view so this was a nice change). The only thing we weren’t thrilled about at first was that it was in Tower 3 (the furthest tower) but once we discovered the shortcut to the Miracle Mile shops/Planet Hollywood down Harmon Ave. we were so glad to be in that tower! Seriously, learn that shortcut, it will save you so much time trying to get to the strip. Since it was early, the hotel held all of our bags until we were able to officially check in, and then they brought the bags right up just a few minutes after we arrived in our room. At check-out, the front desk printed us an updated list of charges, and we were able to get a taxi to the airport right away (I was worried since it was 6am on a Saturday, they might not be readily available, but the valet called one up immediately). Housekeeping was good, they came every day (be sure to hit the housekeeping button by the door before you leave) and also replenished our water every day. I wish I had known they did that ahead of time, as I bought tons of water at the ABC Shop on the first day. My only complaint about housekeeping was I left a note on my pillow one day because the lamp next to the bed wasn’t working. They did not fix the issue, but saw the note because it was moved. A few days later, I noticed that the lamp was unplugged and that’s why it didn’t work so problem solved. Then, one of the lamps in the living room area didn’t work (I checked, it was plugged in!), but I didn’t even bother with a note since they ignored my first one. When we originally booked, they were running a $75 food and beverage credit deal, so that was a great extra perk to have. We ordered In Suite Dining multiple times, their pepperoni pizza was excellent (don’t bother going to Pieology in MGM, just order from here instead!) and their mac and cheese was great too. Delights in Tower 2 is an excellent choice for lunch. We were very pleased overall with the food options at the Signature. We love being able to use both the Signature pools and the MGM pools (hello, lazy river!). Here’s an important tip I wish I knew before our trip – the lazy river no longer rents tubes (they did when we first visited five years ago), you can now purchase tubes (I think our large one was around $25) OR you can bring a round tube from home and they will inflate it for free. Had I known this, I would have definitely brought a tube from home. But, now I have a souvenir pool tube, and we bought the large size one, and it is much bigger than any tube we have at home. So it all worked out okay, but I still wish I had known. You don’t need a tube to access the lazy river, but it is very nice to have. Whether at the MGM or Signature pools, definitely get the MGM souvenir cup on your first day, you get a cheaper price on drinks when refilling. Another tip – drinks are cheaper at the Signature pool than the MGM pool, so we mostly got drinks at the Signature pool when we went there later in the day (MGM pool in the AM/early PM, Signature pool in the later PM was our routine). I do think the room furniture needs a bit of updating, especially the couch. I love that, for the most part, the one bedroom suites are corner rooms so you have great views on two sides of the building. The balcony is great too, especially with strip views at night. We did smell a strong marijuana odor on our floor multiple times during our trip, this was disappointing since the Signature is a non-smoking resort. Hopefully those people got fined for smoking in their room. I always felt safe at this resort. There is a staffed gate at the entrance, and you can only drive in if you have a reservation. If you are walking and use the Harmon Avenue entrance, you have to use your room key to get through the gate. If you are using the entrance through the MGM Grand, you also have to use your room key to open the door, although that often didn’t work or took many swipes before it worked. Signature staff, please look into that issue. It happened with many people, not just us. This is, in my opinion, the best value on the entire Las Vegas strip. What we paid for our week-long stay in a one bedroom suite, many other strip hotels charge for one week in a regular hotel room. But here, you get not only a suite, but the use of two different resorts pools, a balcony, and all the amenities and convenience of the MGM without the hustle and bustle of the MGM. Without a doubt, when we plan our next trip, we will be booking with the Signature.

Checked in a few hours ago. Lornezo, your valet service associate has exceptional hospitality skills. Upon arrival, he greeted with a smile. Seeing as it's my second time staying here, I was eager for my husband's birthday since he enjoyed the CLEANLINESS and hospitiable service from the last visit. I must capitalize the word "cleanliness" because; this is why I will never be staying in this establishment again. Upon arrival I noticed that there was hair in my bed, shower, guest shower, tub, and on the hand towels sitting on the sink. The most upsetting factor was the urine drops and pubic hair left on the toilet seat. I requested to change rooms. We got to next room and found dried blood splattered on the curtains. I never expected such a disaster, seeing as my first time here EVERYTHING was so amazing. I am HIGHLY disappointed! Attached are the puctures of what we found. It's the small things that matter the most! Unfortunately a little urine, blood, or someone elses hair can ruin the way you perceive an establishment like MGM resorts or a vacation. It has definitely ruined mine!
The Signatures is a great location, if you stay in tower 3 you can access the main strip from the back. It is like a 5 minute walk. Each tower has its own pool which is very nice if you don't feel like going to the main pool. I like the fact that it has a full kitchen. It is nice for a family to cook once in awhile instead of going out to eat. The balcony is an added bonus

We are a family of three with an adult teenage daughter. This was our second visit both the Vegas and the Signature. We were very happy to book again as our first stay was perfect. First the good points, and there are many of them - check in is smooth and quick (unlike the MGM itself where queues are extremely long) - whilst on the Strip through its connection with the MGM, it is off the Strip and therefore much quieter. We were on the 30th floor in Tower 1 and had a stunning view of the Strip from our balcony - there are many eateries and entertainment options within the MGM complex, not to mention shopping options, just not cheap - each tower has its own pool, but you also have access to the MGM Grand pool which really is lovely - there is a gym available - there is no gambling at the Signature (a good thing in my view), but if that's your bag then there's plenty available at the MGM - the rooms are beautiful, no different to six years ago, but not tired in terms of decor. The beds were comfortable. The kitchenette and bathroom are beautifully appointed. Plus we had stunning views and very welcome quiet. Here are the issues we had: - we arrived quite late having driven from Mammoth Lakes and through Death Valley. There were valets who parked our car, but no one helped us with our bags, not offered for that matter. That is most unusual for a very service orientated hotel, and certainly not our experience at the three other hotels we visited on holiday. Luckily we are all able bodied and strong, so it wasn't a particular problem to us, but certainly could be for others - we had booked as a family of three, but the sofa bed had not been made up and we did it ourselves. Again not an insurmountable problem for us which we didn't make an issue about, but unusual for a hotel proud of its service - one day we went to the pool, and found on returning to our room that our door card wouldn't work. We went down to reception and explained and the lady there asked us for ID like we carry it in our swim suits! Silly question. What annoyed me was the fact that she clearly thought we'd done something to the card. Actually a lot of people had had trouble with their cards at the pool (you need it to get into the pool area) and my belief is that the pool card reader had done the damage. The biggest issue we had happened on check out, and I want to deal with this separately. We had booked through Bookings.com and discovered on checking out that we had been entitled to twenty five dollars a day towards food, a total of seventy five dollars for our stay. The lady checking us out told us this, and offered for us to get food for our trip, but actually we had already bought this. I was so disappointed, and it really played on my mind. I checked the Bookings.com paperwork and this too does not mention the entitlement, so I am angry at them too. It was not possible to offset this against the resort fees of seventy nine dollars. On returning home I wrote a pretty damning review, as I was still upset. To their credit the Signature responded and refunded resort fees. I also said that I would think about whether we would return to the Signature, but my view has definitely changed. I would only give them the following advice A reinstate the service ethics it professes to hold B include the resort fees in the rental cost C keep valet parking free D make sure guests are aware of their full entitlements and freebies at check in. All the other hotels did this without prompting when we were checking in. Thanks again for refunding resort fees.

Stayed here before in 2013 so I was very happy to go back. Sarah at check in in tower 2 was amazing!! We were supposed to have a regular suite but got a complimentary upgrade to a one bedroom suite with a balcony. Thank you Sarah! The suite we were in was 11-608. The room comes with a kitchen that includes a stove, microwave, dishwasher, and a huge fridge with a freezer on the bottom! For sanitary reasons all dishes are available upon request. The suite also has two bathrooms. One half and the other with a jet tub. It's a very spacious room perfect for if you traveled with a few people. The room also has a safe and huge closets to store your clothes and belongings. The views from the balcony are amazing!! Especially at night!! So beautiful! Okay so let's get on with the cleanliness of the room. Now I don't want to get anyone in trouble but the room was dirty. The second bathroom had dirty tissue that was stuck on the door and the time we were there it was never cleaned. The carpet in the room was filthy!! Spots everywhere I never walked around without my shoes on. The bathtub was dirty as well. We called housekeeping and it took forever to have someone come up and when she did all she did was wipe the dirt, no water or rinsing or anything. The couch also had spots on it and smelled old or dusty. Gross! The bed was very comfy. The carpet and the furniture is outdated but the room service was good! I ordered the pasta primavera 2 times and my fiance got the pasta with salmon one night and the steak another. I would definitely recommend the room service. We arrived Tuesday night and our plane wasn't scheduled to leave until midnight Friday. So we checked with the front desk to see if we could stay another day. We were told check out is at 11 and to stay till noon is $40 but for another day would have been $468!! Ha! So we had to book a plane ticket to leave a day early. That wasn't accommodating at all. I was not happy about that it really messed up our plans. All in all I do like The Signature and wouldn't mind staying again. The rooms just need to be cleaned better and if you're a guest need to stay another day you shouldn't be charged that much because the rooms aren't even that much on the website.
