We were actually there Jan 2016, not June. At any rate it won't affect my memory for review!! We loved itā¤ļønot just b/c it was our honeymoon...we wanted a remote feel to our vaca & we got it! It's the only Resort of its size on the entire island. Some B&B/Air BnB to be sure but nothing like this. Staff was amazing--especially Fathmath & Fran. Our little villa was perfect, our very own deck out back with a private dip pool(size of a jacuzzi) but who cares?! Living room separate from master suite, fully stocked with drinks, Lavazzo espresso machine. When they realized I don't drink orange juice or soda, the gardener & housekeeping service ladies brought me fresh coconuts everyday so I can enjoy fresh coconut water!! Oh how I miss that & the lovely staff that took such good care of usšŸ’•Restaurants we're all terrific & Spa treatments were also fantastic & relaxing. We snorkeled around the Resort, went kayaking inside bat caves--super cool! I took a scuba excursion right off our private beach. Awesome crew & good diving. So much to do on the island & surrounding islands as well. Went to the Dark View & Wallibalou waterfalls, Owia salt ponds, La Soufriere; We even took a ferry to Bequia for the day!! Fantastic! Wish we had more time. So much to see in this world but we really hope to revisit one day--St Vincent will always have a soft spot in our hearts...

Note to ALL travellers - there is only ONE completed beachfront villa and it has a bar between it and the beach, which means you have an audience every time you get into your plunge pool. The whole resort need fumigating - it is quite clear that the developer has built this resort in an area that was once filled with wild life, the beach is also man-made; so for those that are about to book Buccament Bay instead of Dubai on the basis that Dubai is man-made; think again! The resort is riddled with bugs, crabs, mosquitos permanently. The service; there is "island time" and then there is waiting 2 hours for room-service (that you have to pay to be delivered to the room) that arrives cold - and then waiting a further hour for a hot-order to arrive and having to explain the concept of compensation and getting NONE "time". Twice this happened! The staff are not authorised to compensate you for any of their multitude of errors which means that they are not accountable for ANYTHING if it goes wrong... given that EVERYTHING went wrong ALL of the time, ranging from a green swimming pool, to wrong food orders, to food not even being on the menus of certain restaurants, to the resort running out of beach towels (and having to stand around dripping wet - EVERYDAY this happened), to loud drilling going on outside of our room from 9am EVERYDAY, to NOT HAVING ANY RUNNING WATER for entire days on end... I could go on forever. Essentially what I am trying to say is - DON'T DO IT! The food is also terrible! The only good food we ate was the local food which was for the resort staff - BBQ Tuesday from memory - DON'T GO HERE HOWEVER, STAY IN BARBADOS OR GO TO DUBAI!!!!! The saving grace was the speed boat tour actually!.. Whereby we got away from the hotel in a speedboat we hired out for the day!

This resort is closed and unless a company with a bucket load of money takes it on is unlikely to re-open. We arrived at the resort back on 20 November last year at 22:00 only to be told that we were not expected! Asked for some food and were presented with two burger containers with some lettuce and three pieces of inedible chicken, went to the bar where we learnt of people leaving and the general problems at the resort. day 2 asked out tour operator to find us somewhere that was truly 5 star luxury - they could but for an extra Ā£2K - we declined. Food was pitiful, meat, when there was any was tough and inedible probably due to being the cheapest cuts available. Basic food was running out and was nearly all buffet style, one meal was stir-fried spaghetti - that was a first! Drinks were equally bad, two choices of white, one red and sometimes rose, local beer (only one available) served in bottles, Sometimes wine served in plastic beakers and once I received on in a tulip shaped beer glass!! Staff had not been paid and were only at resort for the guests and the hope they could retain their jobs, lovely people on the whole but doomed to failure as there just wasn't any money. We stuck it for 4 days after which we requested to be re-patriated. Our tour operator didn't think it necessary and told us that the shortages were 'minor irritations'! Barely 3 weeks after we left the resort closed and to the best of my knowledge is still closed. I have not reviewed before as we had a claim in against our tour operator which has now been settled albeit pretty much in favour of the them, if anyone is interested in who we went with then please ask the question, they must have known of the problems before we went but still let us travel to what for us was our one holiday from hell!

Hotel was lovely. The situation at the time was very unfortunate! Service was great. We had an entire villa for ourselves with a plunge Pool so we did not have to keep trecking down to the main pool. Did not leave the hotel for our entire stay there. Really hope that the hotel reopens soon. Would like to return with my family!

We spent just 1 night here at the end of November and for those 24 hours we could see things were not right, but our villa with private pool, dinner at the steakhouse, breakfast, massages were all aok. it seems it went down hill very fast after that and as you do we chatted with people at dinner or by the pool who were there long term and could tell us the difference from when they arrived in the offerings/services etc. Such a shame as this resort should be doing well, all the elements are there, can't work out why it did not work out for it. There are villas built behind a construction fence so at one point the future looked good, hopefully someone with money can come in and tidy up what is there and make is successful
