From the very moment we stepped into the grand arrival lobby at The St. Regis Mauritius Resort, I knew this holiday would hit differently. The lobby opens straight onto the shimmering Indian Ocean, and with the bright breeze flowing through, you’re instantly transported into pure vacation bliss. It’s the kind of entrance that lifts your mood before you’ve even put down your bags. Check-in & First Impressions Check-in was a breeze—barely two minutes and done. As a Gold Elite member, I did request an upgrade and was told it would be extended if available at any point during our five-day stay. Unfortunately, that update never came. In hospitality, these small touches can truly elevate or deflate expectations. But we moved on, because, honestly, the resort’s charm pulls you in fast. The Suite Life We were whisked to our first-floor suite by buggy, where the doors opened to a postcard-worthy direct beach view. The room itself? Loved it. A cloud-like super-comfy bed A cozy sofa A gorgeous big balcony with chairs and yet another sofa A coffee maker stocked with complimentary goodies And the bathroom—it deserves its own paragraph. The bathroom was massive, with a bathtub so big it could comfortably fit two adults… which I’ll leave to your imagination :). Let’s just say: it’s a honeymoon-friendly tub even if you’re not on a honeymoon. Dining – Oh, the Food! On day one, exhausted and starving, we ordered in-room dining. The Mauritian chicken curry, rice, and Pasta arrived piping hot and comforting—exactly what travel-worn souls need. The resort has several specialty restaurants, and we made it a point to sample the stars: Indya (Indian cuisine) La Manoir (International/Continental) The Boathouse Grill Many others like Atsuko for Japansese etc Our absolute favorites? Indya and The Boathouse—hands down. The staff across all restaurants were brilliant. Courteous, warm, and slowly started calling us by name, which is such a simple but heartwarming touch. Breakfast was always a lively scene. The team was on their toes, ensuring our orange juice glasses magically refilled every time we blinked. These small gestures stay with you long after the trip ends. A truly big shoutout to the breakfast crew! A Small Blunder, A Big Recovery We did hit a small bump with our second round of in-room dining—it happens! But what set this resort apart was the way it was handled. Culinaire Director Anupam and head butler services, Mr. Srivastava personally stepped in with grace, warmth, and a full explanation. We had a long, wonderful chat about food, local ingredients, and where the mishap occurred. From that point on, it felt like we were dining royalty. In fact, Anupam even alerted the head chef at The Boathouse, who one evening served us a special “baby chicken” recipe inspired by his mother. The dish was divine, but combined with the sunset, ocean breeze, and grill-side ambiance—it became an unforgettable memory. Late Checkout & Final Moments On our last day, with a night flight ahead, Girisha went out of her way to arrange a late checkout for us—even though the resort was nearly at full occupancy. That gesture alone sealed our stay on the highest note. The Beach & Sunsets And of course, the location. Set along a long, clean, powdery beach with Le Morne Brabant watching over from the side, the sunsets here are simply cinematic. Golden, gentle, and soul-stirring. Overall This resort has beauty, heart, and incredible people. Sure, a hiccup here and there—but every time, the team bounced back with sincerity and effort. And that’s what defines true hospitality. thank you again to the staff names that i could still remember and apologies for missing many others who made the difference - Anupam, Mr. Srivastava, Chef Polimont, Chef Bhutoo, Alvin (Boathouse), Ayesha (Spa), Angela( Spa), Matai (Bar), Mihir (La Patisserie), and all breakfast crew! Thank you to all the staff at St. Regis Mauritius for making this a memorable getaway. We left with happy hearts, full stomachs, and a promise to return.

Heaven on earth! The St. Regis Le Morne proved to be one of the most unforgettable travel destinations for us. The location of the hotel under the majestic Le Morne mountain, stretches of golden beach, the colourful marine life, birds and the hotel’s boutique feel with ample of dining options to choose from. Furthermore there were a wide selection of (complimentary) activities including paddle board, water skiing, …The resort manager Benoit, the resort manager took care of all our needs (felt like he wqs reading our mind) and the Butler team around Ahmad were available 24/7 to answer any requests. Thank you again to all the St. Regis Le Morne team!

Absolutely blown away by this resort from the moment we arrived. Beautifully designed and maintained, with exceptional service to match. Our room / suite was very comfortable, well furnished, clean and well proportioned (the only grumble would be the poor quality of bathroom towels) with a large terrace. The pool area was so nice, with wonderful service. All the food was superb (we tried every restaurant), special mention for the quality of breakfast. But the main highlight was the constantly outstanding service.

Our stay at the St. Regis Mauritius Resort was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed with their warm hospitality and constant attention to detail. The room was beautifully designed, spacious, and offered stunning views that added to the overall relaxing atmosphere. The food across all restaurants was excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality dishes. The beach was clean, peaceful, and perfect for unwinding. Every part of the experience felt luxurious and well-organized. We were impressed by the level of service, comfort, and elegance throughout the resort. We would definitely love to return.

We have very recently returned from a 3 week stay in Mauritius and the first 6 nights we stayed at the St Regis. This is a really excellent hotel with wonderful staff members who go out of their way every time you see them to make the stay more enjoyable. We had the benefit of subsequently comparing this hotel to the next one where we stayed (Constance Prince Maurice on North East cost) and we can confidently say the St Regis was comfortably the better resort (for us) of the two. Our Peninsula Suite was nothing short of amazing and other than been in the actual ocean it couldn't have been closer and the views each morning when opening the wrap around curtains, wonderful. There was an excellent choice of restaurants offering everything you would ever need. Buffet at breakfast was superb and evening meals equally good. Perhaps our favourite was the India restaurant, the chef there a magician. We also had the Teppanyaki experience in Atsuko restaurant with some of the other guests. Well worth the extra, food amazing. Bar choice also very good. We loved the 17:30 DJ and/or live music set down on the beach to have a drink while the sun set. All the guests seemed to really like this feature. There were one or two bumps in the road service wise but the team learnt quickly and we noticed the strength and attention of the management and supervisory teams to help rectify any dissatisfaction. Even then, a rare occasion to raise any problems. Now, for some staff mentions. This is really hard as the entire team makes a stay i.e. the people you see and the people you don't see behind the scenes so although some names are below, and for good reason, doesn't mean the rest didn't contribute to an amazing stay😊 - Benoit (hotel boss) - supported and kept touch any queries. - Ryan - senior presence to support for any assistance required.. - The dynamic duo that are Ashwina and Lucinda (it finished even ladies😊). - Matai the rum oracle...perfection in bar work an understatement. - Nikil our butler but also the WhatsApp butler chat service and entire team. - Neetish the most gracious and polite man ever to serve me at breakfast in a resort. - Sylvestre the cool concierge and the whole concierge team...stars. - Gerald who would touch base and always looked sharply attired in the evenings! - The entire Boathouse Crew who blessed me by making me drink lots of Phoenix Holy Water in the evenings😂...guys, i am truly blessed. - The entire pool and beach crew who faultlessly delivered all day long. we wanted for nothing. We hope a few mentions go a long way but a very special thank you to the entire housekeeping and ground/garden crew who keep the place immaculately clean and presented. We were sad to leave but long to come back, the best outcome for a holiday. J & G Crowe More Date of stay: November 2025
