Great hotel with a wonderful restaurant offering a creative and beautifully-presented cuisine. Rooms with private terrace and direct access to the outdoors, perfect for couples and families. Would deserve to be better known: the restaurant alone makes it a gem.

Seldom do you find a true gem like this family run boutique hotel. The location is so calm and relaxing. The pool is the best and largest hotel pool I have seen in a small hotel. Very calm, almost private. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, with large bathrooms. We had two rooms, each of which had their own classy character. One of them had a huge spa bath with star effect lighting. Each has its own private terrace with lounge chairs. The continental breakfast here is the best I have had. Evening meals were a delight. It is rare to eat in the same place three nights in a row and like every course you eat, night after night. La Cardinale pulls this off, with its own twist on each dish. A very welcoming homely place that is very highly recommended. Stay here. Eat here. Relax here.

We had the good fortune of staying here for a whole week. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are just wonderful & with your own little garden. The food was out of this world. Madame & Monsieur Edwards were amazing. They work so hard to ensure your stay with them is perfect.

What a beautiful hotel with incredible views! A group of 7 of us came to stay at La Cardinale for the night and had such a lovely day and evening there - the food was perfect, the setting was idyllic and the bungalow rooms were faultless. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

The location is very convenient between Valence and Montelimar a few miles from the highway. The hotel is very charming and the rooms are beautifully appointed. But the best of all is the amazing food the hosts serve. The presentation is beautiful, the quality and freshness unparalleled, and the breakfasts are amazing. We will be back.
