Reviews for Risorgimento Resort
More 4 than 5 star, basic but good (no water or coffee in rooms) rooftop restaurant okay but fantastic breakfast and staff so good they come to help you park your car! Best location as walking distance to churches, cafes, restaurants and shops. Ask for room 106 as balcony over the front door.
Stayed four nights here in order to see Lecce and Puglia. I was very happy with the location, price, and service. It's super central in Lecce and the hotel is in great condition. We had a big, comfortable room and a great breakfast for a very reasonable price. There is some nickle-and-diming, but that's not shocking given the room rate. We paid 5 euro/day per beach towel and 5 euro/day (or so) for valet parking. It wasn't annoying until you see those things add up to almost a full night at the hotel! The downside to the central location is that parking is almost impossible without the valet. Similarly driving in and out of the central historic district is slow, so you'll lose time. That said, you are steps from Lecce's best shops and restaurant so it's a win overall. Staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel is in good condition and it's nicely done. The interior is pretty nice, not blow your mind nice, but really clean and seemingly new. The rooftop bar is OK. The views aren't too great, but it's a nice place to spend an evening. The included breakfast was only cold (no hot eggs, etc.) but that's fine with me. There was a very nice selection of local food and breakfast staples. Breakfast didn't vary at all from one day to the next, but it was very good every day. So really solid overall, but still not extremely memorable. Ultimately this is an affordable, convenient place to sleep and eat, not a hotel you'll remember fondly forever. If you go in with that in mind I think you'll be quite happy with the outcome.
The location is excellent - right in the heart of the city. Good: Location, Location. You just have to walk out of the front door and you are into the heart of the city. Everything is close by - all restaurants, attractions and Piazzas. The staff were also very helpful. Rooms: The rooms are adequate and the views from the room are quite poor - overlooking other properties. In fairness, this did not bother us as we were out most of the day and spent little time in the rooms. There were dogs outside the hotel which meant it was noisy in the early hours, but this is not the hotels fault. Bad: The breakfast was not very good and it was all cold breakfast. Not even toast. Cold cheeses, cold bread, cereals etc. The breakfast could have been a lot better. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay here again if I came to Lecce.

I stayed here with my husband for my friends wedding, the hotel was really nice, clean and very helpful. The brides room when getting ready had electrical issues and no AC which was a nightmare but the staff soon found us an extra room anti spread out as the hairdressers and photographers could not all use the plugs! Breakfast was OK it was mainly continental with meats and fruits. There was no cooked breakfast. I would stay here again as it is in a pretty good location too.
We arrived from having 4 nights at Masseria Baroni Nuovi near Brindisi by rental car last Saturday for a week at the Risorgimento Resort in Lecce. Upon entering the city of Lecce and finding our hotel (thanks to sat nav!) we were delighted with the beautiful surroundings of Lecce. We checked in and were escorted to our room. The room was very comfortable, large and spotlessly clean and quiet. We had a small balcony overlooking the small courtyard room 311. We had dinner in the roof top garden restaurant twice, which overlooked the rooftops, which was very nice indeed. Breakfasts were buffet style, fresh fruit, locally made cakes and a savoury table, again very nice and a great start to the day. Salvatori the hotel manager was extremely helpful as was lovely Margarita and all the staff we came in contact with. Nothing was too much trouble. We couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough and would return again without hesitation. A wonderful stay.
