Reviews for Risorgimento Resort
I don’t know anything about how a hotel gets a 5-star rating in Europe. I only know what I like and I liked this hotel a lot. The hotel has very contemporary decor and furnishings. Our room was very big, clean and well maintained. Same with the bathroom which had a shower and bathtub. Our room also had a small balcony. When we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. Most all of them speak some English and front desk folks speak it quite well. Our bags were delivered to our room. Breakfast- which is included- had a large variety of foods and some of the best coffee I have had in Italy. My wife took advantage of some of the spa services and they do cost extra. There is rooftop garden/bar which we enjoyed using as well. The hotel is in the center of the city which is a plus. If you have a car, however, you either have to park a car outside of town or use the valet parking as we did and this also costs extra.

a quality establishment with high levels of service. well designed and well furnished. attentive and highly professional staff. superior bathrooms - excellent as a matter of fact ! i had a single occupancy double room on the first floor with a landscaped outdoor terrace. super. the roof top bar has a wonderful view especially at sunset. breakfast has a 'better than most' selection. eggs/bacon/sausage will be prepared when ordered. i tend to stay in 5 star and "luxury" hotels - this does not disappoint. from the moment you arrive and check in to departure time, this is all about quality. room rates are not crazy London, New York or Paris rates. full stop

We arrived late via taxi from the train station. Our bags were taken to our room and we were escorted. The room is big, quiet, and the bed is comfortable, but there are a few quirks. To adjust the room temperature I needed to call the front desk who input a new temperature into "the computer", and I had no control over the fan either - strange to have no direct control in a 5 star hotel. Also, the room is in a modern, designer motif, with angular silver hardware throughout the bathroom with annoying sharp corners. I only stubbed my toes twice on the sharp corners of the sitting table - be careful. The carpet softens the effect of the modern decor. We adjusted to these quirks and overall enjoyed the room. Breakfast buffet had a nice selection of meats, cheeses, and hard-boiled eggs, but I needed to ask for caffe each morning. The staff was friendly but almost aloof. The front desk staff was helpful and ready to help in any way.

This is a very pleasant hotel in a great location, close to many restaurants and shops and the main square. Decor and furnishings are modern and attractive, and the rooms comfortable and well appointed. The valet parking (€20 per night) is very convenient. Everything about this hotel is of a high quality except for the breakfast, which offered a pretty average selection compared to most of the other hotels we stayed at during our four week holiday.

This hotel is nicely located near the shopping street and historical sites. The room was clean and modern but not special; same for the buffet lunch we ate on the first day there. Two things are outstanding, however. The rooftop terrace bar is really sweet. Go and have an Aperol Spritz - it's perfect. And secondly, the service by the staff was second to none. My husband mistakenly left his suit jacket in the Brindisi taxi and they worked their magic, found the driver and he delivered it back to the hotel in Lecce. We never thought we'd see it again. Lovely stay.
