Reviews for Risorgimento Resort
This is a very centrally located hotel in the heart of Lecce - the de facto capital of the Solento region of Puglia. We had a really large room - unusual for a European city centre hotel. Modern finish internally, but it works well and the overall quality and finish of the hotel is high. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel, but breakfast was good and there is a pleasant roof top bar for pre-dinner drinks. Service was excellent and the front desk staff were very helpful. We made use of the valet service to park our car overnight securely at €15 per day. Only downside... during the day there is no outdoor space to enjoy the sun or drink. The rooftop bar only opens at 19:30. This would be a great spot for lunch, although Leece does of course have lots to offer in-terms of eating and drinking.

The day we were due to arrive the hotel cancelled our room claiming there was a water issue on checking it out we were bumped because they had a wedding party we booked 10months in advance they can cancel with less than one days notice Not helpful when you are planning other trips , thankfully Kuoni saved the day and booked us into the charming Patria palace
Location: the hotel is located one block from the main piazza (and the Roman amphitheater) and the main 'shopping street' leading to the Duomo is 1/2 block away. It is one block from 'restaurant row'....a street lined with restaurants and 2 blocks from the fortezza. In short, a great location for visiting Lecce. Rooms: most of the rooms are quite large (especially for Italy) and carpeted. The systems (a/c) are first rate. The wifi is very good. The beds are comfortable. The other furniture in the rooms (desk, chairs) and the interior decor are less than one would expect in a 5* property.....good, not great. I booked an upgraded room and the room I was assigned was very small with a large, interior deck (no view, but counts as room area).....the staff went out of their way to find another room that matched the description of the room I booked. Something like 1/2 of the rooms face an interior courtyard.....this was not really a problem as the courtyard is large, the windows are sealed (soundproof) and there are both sheers and curtains on the windows. The bathrooms are well set up with good amenities. Service: the front desk is the center of the guest interaction. The staff there is friendly and courteous, but they are often busy with other tasks so be patient. Valet parking is available and provides prompt service. The restaurant staff are courteous and efficient. Condition: the renovation of the hotel (it consists of at least two buildings) was extremely well done. The hotel has attractive finishes and it is maintained in excellent condition. The hotel was spotless in the rooms and throughout the public areas. Other items: the breakfast offered a huge selection and was first-rate. The hotel is extremely quiet. My traveling companion, who can be very particular in regards to hotels, claims this as a 'favorite' of the hotels we have stayed during several trips to Puglia and Basilicata....and, if pushed, would say it is a 'favorite' among the many hotels we have stayed throughout Italy over the past 20 years.

Very nicely restored building right in the heart of the city of Lecce. Just step out of the door and there you are, baroque Lecce! Charming and confortable rooms. Very friendly staff, nice common areas and an excellent breakfast buffet.

This hotel is in the perfect location to be able to walk to all the key sites in Lecce. The staff were helpful & friendly. The breakfast was simple, fresh & well presented. We were lucky enough to get 2 upgrades to the penthouse & presidential sites which made things a while lot easier. Highly recommend rooms 401 & 101. Peaking was taken care of by the hotel.
