Reviews for Baumaniere les Baux de Provence
Oh my goodness. Where do I start? This is a chateau tucked away in the Provence countryside. You need a car to go anywhere, but why would you want to? The place is absolutely amazing. To start, the check-in was painless, no waiting in line, no fuss, they were waiting for us (so it seemed). It was tricky getting to our suite because, one, we didn't know where the buildings were, and two, we had to roll the suit cases over gravel paths, but no worries, they have people to help you. Once in our mini suite, our mouths dropped to the floor. The decor, the amenities, and the view, were so much more than we expected. The suite was as if we were in someone's very well appointed apartment. The living room was cozy, the bedroom was large and airy, the bathroom (more like a bath suite) was huge, and the balcony has a direct view of the "rock". I didn't want to leave the suite. The grounds of the chateau included an organic vegetable garden, a goat farm, and a variety of fruit trees. We could have easily spent the day just wondering the grounds and laying around our suite or the pool. Definitely planning to come back. I can't find anything to complain about this place except for the breakfast. At the price we paid, it should have been included. I guess they know they got us because there isn't anyplace nearby, we were captive (but willing) audience.

It is a very fine experience magic place with wonderful service and great restaurants in the middle of provence finest view. The staff is helpful and everything is charming. Beware because there are many buildings and the reservation site is not clear about it.

My husband and I were extremely disappointed by our stay at Baumeniere. We were visiting for part of our honeymoon, and couldn’t wait to leave. From the second we arrived, we were greeted with lackluster service. We were given almost no information regarding the hotel and it’s services, except to inform us the restaurants and spa would be closed for half of our stay. The receptionist did not give us any other dining options in the area. Our room (which I believe to have been an upgrade) was cold, dark, and not what we expected. The only upgrade was the bathroom, which was nice, but the rest was pitiful. Having woken up a bit late the following morning, we arrived at breakfast at 10:15am. We were told we could very quickly make a plate, but they were closing. We were not even offered to put our bag down at a table before being hurried to the (already half closed) buffet. During breakfast, the staff hurried around us even ironing he tablecloths at the table next to us making us extremely uncomfortable. We called the front desk to ask about dining options in the area and received pretty much no help. Turn down Service consisted of someone dropping towels at our front door. The next day, I became very ill with food poisoning. Worried we would have to go to the hospital my husband went to the front desk to ask about help and if the property had any soda to offer. Rather than help, the receptionist put him on the phone with the only restaurant on property to ask. My husband tried to visit the gym but of course, closed. We did get a walk thru of the spa and the facilities and receptionist there were very nice. The noise from the room above was so loud throughout our entire stay, we couldn’t sleep. I informed the manager at checkout of the situation and she shrugged her shoulders and didn’t seem to care. We will absolutely NOT be returning to Baumeniere and will be informing our friends and family to stay away as well. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Very pleasant and picturesque to visit and relax with friends and other guests who being French mainly really get on well with Australians but then again who doesn’t get on well with us. The staff are very obliging and extremely helpful and also polite.
