Less than expected

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed March 9, 2020

For the restaurant: expecting a much better dinner in a hotel of this class. Except the soups, first dishes and the lamb (proposed menu) the other main courses was bellow an acceptable level. Hamburgers: we have tasted a much better in much cheaper taverns. Onglets (Angus!): The worst I have ever had. The staff unexperienced to handle the situation. Following my complaints, just took the plate and without asking or say anything, 15' later brought another plate, more or less same quality. To keep story short, the only positive point, this dish was taken out from our bill !! ...but our dinner was spoiled...

Get the home away from home feeling

Cosy and fully equipped chalet. Lovely decoration, big enough spaces. The only down point - the two rooms on the ground floor are left to share one toilet located in the main bathroom on the floor; an absolute inconvenience given that we had four young adults sharing that space. There is plenty of space, some even dead space, on that floor - don’t get why there is not a second toilet installed. The location is quite difficult to manage if you go skiing - you do need transportation and if you choose the convenience of your own car...brace yourself and pray for parking space around the ski lifts!!! Plus, when you are at a good level, you’ll want to get out of Les Hauchs...and that means around 30min drive...and again the pain of bad infrastructure to get all the skiers...and their cars. Back to the chalet resort - while the group of chalets has the most amazing view in the valley, a little bit of XMas/NYE decorations and lights around the domain would have been welcome 😉 Last but not least, don’t forget you go for a self catered chalet - you have it as good as you manage it 😜 The restaurant and spa on location help...but not relay on them too much...

Wonderful place.....

Thank you so much for a fabulous time - the lodges are beautiful - the spa is just luxury and the view from the hot tub outside is to die for. What a place. You need a car but it's fabulous to be able to tour this area - great skiing, fabulous restaurant and the restaurant manager is lovely and helps with our French. The receptionist is also lovely - such a wonderful place - enjoy!

Great spa

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed September 23, 2018

We went to this place as a group of 5 in mid to late September. It was very enjoyable and affordable for spa entry (€29) the whole day. Great way to end the tour du mont blanc. 5 main facilities in the spa: sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, outdoor nordic tub and outdoor jacuzzi. Would definitely recommend if it's not too busy. Staff are very friendly.

Amazing Spa

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed May 14, 2018

We didn't stay at the hotel but came as day guests to use the spa. The staff were absolutely fantastic - went above and beyond to try and accommodate us, even giving us a lift back down to the lift station. (My friend had injured her knee skiing and was having difficulty walking...) We both had massages, which were first rate. They had various 'hot tub' and sauna facilities, which were very relaxing for us and very popular with people as they came down off the slopes. I particularly enjoyed the heated gypsy cabin with views of Mont Blanc, but the Nordic Spa (a huge, deep barrel of really warm water) is also one not to miss! I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
