Reviews for The Inn at Hastings Park
Will definitely return to The Inn at Hastings Park, outstanding Boutique Hotel! Immaculate, charming, great location with a very friendly staff. Beautifully appointed decor, very spacious Suite. A+ experience!!

It is a beautiful inn and for late arrival (11pm) the check in process was personal, attentive and speedy. However the room is smaller than expected (for the $$ that they charged) and so is the bed... Room is too dry and the bathroom door was not able to open in the middle of the night so I had to go to the restaurant bathroom. On the positive side, the breakfast is impeccable and the common areas are beautiful.

This was our second stay here and all the good qualities mentioned by other reviewers and ourselves after the first time still apply. It is comfortable, pleasant, quiet and very expensive. Among the amenities we may note free bikes. Our room, no. 14 was very large and comfortable and service generally very friendly. Breakfast and dinner are of good quality. All that said I must note two jarring experiences. 1) A day before arrival we received an e-mail saying that the credit card I had given (many months ago) had expired and if I would not correct this immediately the reservation would be cancelled. Yes indeed: it had expired three days earlier, for credit cards are not valid forever. This was absolutely unacceptable and whoever sent this mail should be fired. 2) One morning at breakfast we had to wait a long time (half an hour) for our meal. When we mentioned this politely to the waiter we got a good scolding: "You are not the only ones waiting. There is only one chef." So, any potential guests will have to consider whether they are prepared to pay $340 per day to be treated like a credit card sharper or an insolent child.

When travelling my wife and I always try to stay in Relais and Chateaux hotels and we wondered how an American one would compare. But we were so impressed and pleased with the attention to detail and excellent service, beautiful rooms and genuine people. We especially enjoyed the clam chowder. We thank all the staff for their courtesy Stanley and Elizabeth Browne

The boutique hotel / bed and breakfast is worthy of it's previous accolades. The rooms are very large and luxurious. The age of the property does not present itself in the smell nor elegance of the appointed rooms. The linens are fine. Bedding is heavenly. Larger showers than most B&Bs. Definitely have dinner here. The food was amazing, but the service (ask for Pete) - was the top of the line. Breakfast is included but did not surpass dinner.
