Fabulous hotel in a safe area. We stayed in An Ocean View Suite which was very well appointed. Very comfortable bed, fabulous pillows and nice bathroom. Staff were excellent and efficient.Very good choice at breakfast with additional menu items cooked to order. We didn’t eat in the hotel restaurant. Although there was a coffe machine in the room, a tea tray was provided on request at no extra charge. We had some items laundered which was done quickly and well. Just across the park there is the Lacromar shopping mall with restaurants, bars & shops. The area is safe to walk in at night and we walked to Barranco the next day. I would like to mention Nicholas, our breakfast waiter. He was charming and helpful with local points of interest. Also the Pool bar waiter was very helpful & efficient. This hotel is worthy of its 5 star status & we would stay here again when we com back to Peru.

This hotel is top-notch. The reception area is large and comfortable. The pool on the rooftop is beautiful - you get a 360* view of Lima - but the Pacific Ocean is the really great scene from there. The breakfast was always delicious - from create-your-own omelets to exotic fresh fruits, smoked salmon, cereals, breads of all kinds and all so fresh. We frequented the club dining room quite often and found the food just delicious with a large variety of dishes. Very kid friendly - large jars of marshmallows and M&Ms.

This was our first visit to Peru and we loved our stay at the Belmond Miraflores. We arrived after midnight from Atlanta, in typical Belmond fashion the hotel staff was gracious and welcoming. It was very helpful and appreciated. The room was comfortable and spacious. We were given some tips and ideas to explore before our afternoon tour and even made it back in time for a fantastic Pisco Sour class in the Belo bar. Andre the bartender was so much fun and made our trip extra special. The club lounge had very good views and a wide ranging breakfast selection. Once again the staff in the club lounge was first class.

We decided to stay here at the end of a 5000km driving trip around northern Peru during the two months this took no other hotel came close to matching the amazing service and comfort of this place. We stayed just one night in room 807 with a lovely sea view. Everything about our stay was perfect, when they delivered us a lovely complimentary plate of cheese ham and bread it just made everything else seem even more special. They have made some small improvements to the breakfast buffet, not that before I had thought it was anything but amazing but now it's just even better and is a reason alone for staying. I had a lovely facial in the spa the new Spa reception manager who's name i forgot was excellent and like all the staff very friendly and just so focused on making my time wonderful. It was a nice touch that Thomas the manager came and said hello and enquiry as to our well being. I really do feel like this place is like a home from home. Anyone reading this that is making a comparison to other 5star properties don't bother there is only one worth staying in.

Good thing - I want to pay attention to the hotel bartender - he makes awesome cocktails! He always smiles, loves his job and you feel a very welcome guest there. I recommend to visit the Belo bar downstairs. Bad thing - A “surprise” was waiting for us upon arrival - no water in the shower/sink at all, so we couldn’t take a shower or even wash our hands. We were told that hotel experienced issues because of construction nearby but it would be fixed soon. We experienced it at least for 2 hours, then left for dinner. When we were back in 3 hours, the problem was solved, but it left not nice impression. The food was average, it’s tastier outside. I don’t think I’ll come back to this hotel. But I’ll definitely stop by to the Belo bar again.
