This was our first visit to Peru and was part of Tauck tours trip to Peru and the Galapagos .The hotel is everything one would expect from a 5 star hotel, including great service, great views from room as hotel overlooks ocean. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Hotel is located next to a great mall with many restaurants, and is located at the start of the main street for Miraflores. Easy to walk from hotel to visit entire town. Would highly recommend hotel for anyone who visits Lima.

Incredibly nice place with a young staff that is very polished and considerate. They genuinely care about their guests. We booked a room on the club floor with food at meal times and soda/beer/wine/coffee during the day. Well worth the extra $'s for us. Lite food with a great view. Great pool and deck on 11th floor also with view north up the coast. Booked a city tour through the concierge desk to see the city, gov't buildings, cathedral, and the Aliaga Hacienda that goes back 17 generations to a conquistador. Also, visited the Larco Art museum. Beautiful collection of pre-Inca art. Be sure to see the non-featured items in storage. Belmond uses a car service for extra fee. Getting from airport and to cruise dock couldn't have been easier. If you are travelling to or from other South American destinations, this is a great place to stay over, unwind and relax.

Loved everything about this hotel. Friendly and efficient staff. Good bed. Well designed rooms. Nothing was too much. Bar was terrific and service very attentitive. Good breakfast. Could do a bit more with choice rather than display which was more to look chic by being minimalistic. Spa treatments need to be improved.

Situated in Miraflores in Lima, this is an excellent base from which to see Lima. Its’ location on the cliff above the ocean in Miraflores provides a beautiful outlook from the hotel. We stayed in four of the Belmond Hotels in Peru and used the Hiram Bingham train as well - and beautifully run hotels they all are- which is a testament to a hotel group that they can deliver such a high quality product across all of their hotels whilst maintaining an impression that each hotel is ‘exclusive’ – which they are and which they do. I’ll write on the other hotels separately – but to deal with the Miraflores Park hotel first. The common parts to the hotel are tastefully done and well appointed and any ‘retail’ is subtle and non intrusive. The reception staff are efficient and pleasant as are the concierges. The rooms are ‘generously’ proportioned being a very good size. We found the beds extremely comfortable and the bedroom furniture is well thought out and just right for the room. We took rooms with a view out over the Pacific- which is well worth doing as it is a spectacular view and great to wake up to and great to look out on when the sun is setting. Bathrooms are also a good size and well appointed and the shower pressure is excellent. We ate dinner twice in the ‘Tragaluz’ restaurant on the ground floor- which has a very comfortable bar area outside and also an outside restaurant eating area- which is great. The food is very good and the portions we found to be over generous- which is not a criticism- just an observation. Hotel restaurants in Lima can be overlooked because there are so many top class restaurants that eating in one’s hotel can feel like one is not ‘getting out’- but Tragaluz is definitely worth eating at. Breakfast is served on the top floor (the 11th) of the hotel- and the breakfast spread was consistently good with a wide choice of cuisines to suit all tastes. I recommend the mango- Peruvian mangos are amongst the best I have tasted. The 11th floor also has the pool deck on it surrounded by the sunbathing deck. Whilst the pool may not be the largest- this is a good place to relax and unwind as one is raised well above street level and so it is relatively quiet. The staff throughout the hotel were all most courteous, efficient and pleased to see one and they seem to be ‘happy’ which also says a lot for this hotel. Wifi coverage is very good throughout the hotel. If one has to find any fault it is that if one wants to change foreign currency (read the US$) then the hotel charges 10% upfront. They shouldn’t – FOREX is too transparent now and there is not need to do that as one can get tighter rates by going to the local Larcomar shopping centre- which shouldn’t be the case at a hotel of this quality. It just niggles. We also resolved the issue as to the hotel flying the Union Jack the wrong way up on the exterior flagpole. International incident avoided. A small detail – but it is the attention to detail which makes a hotel great and this hotel is. Highly recommended as a place to stay in Lima.

Staying in Peru 10 days. This is our first "Belmond" and its fantastic. Will stay at two other Belmond's during our stay in Cusco and Machu Pichu. It's up there with any top hotel like a Four Seasons or Mandarin. We had connecting suites with our kids. Think some issues can we worked on like changing of currency; why charge 10% for this. Your surely not in the forex business, so see it as a service for your customers. It's better to change money on the street with official currency people or casa de cambio's than the hotel. Not good. People super friendly. Rooms tops.
