Hotel booked with a great group of friends we have travelled with on several occasions. Hotel in good location. No parking at Hotel, no street level bar and currently undergoing overdue upgrading. Classed as 5 star currently is unfair. It is 4 . Rooms on Street side are too noisy from traffic. Balcony rooms on 2nd floor are silly small with no table. Again very noisy to sit out and not very private. No daily water provided and rooms are small. Drilling noises heard on weekdays and started from 8am one morning. Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. Food average. Balcony ok but overrated, can be very windy.

Excellent facilities with very happy and helpful staff, great breakfasts and very well sited opposite Rossio station and bus stops. A great, central location from which to explore the city. The whole set up was very friendly , even to providing a gratuitous bottle of bubbly and freshly made cake when they spotted that it was my birthday.

From the very friendly greeting on arrival to the "sorry to see you go" departure the service was first class. Nothing was too much trouble, you almost felt like one of the family. We had a room on the 6th floor overlooking the fabulous Rossio Train Station faƧade opposite. The room was very clean and tidy, very comfortable beds and a gorgeous bathroom The restaurant and terrace on the 7th floor are just ideal, a great place to have breakfast in the sunshine and once again the service was fantastic. I could not recommend this Hotel more highly.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included in our stay and was served in a wonderful roof top area. The hotel is right by a plaza with lots of shopping nearby. Excellent restaurants right down the Rue do Jardim do Regedor. They all had English menus as well as French, Dutch, German etc. and the wait staff appeared fluent in most languages. Lisbon is hilly, but we enjoyed walking to the Castelo d. S Jorge.

We visit Lisbon regularly and usually stay at the Altis Avenida. This time we stayed 5 nights and were not disappointed. Our room overlooked the Avenida Liberdade and was comfortable with plenty of room and storage. The location of the hotel is in the Rossi so it's very convenient for us. However the main attraction of the hotel are the staff. It's a pleasure to be served and from check in through to checkout via the bar and restaurant we have had nothing but efficient and friendly service. We look forward to our next visit
