The location of the Altis Avenida is simply excellent for visiting Lisbon. Rooms are good and beds comfy. Breakfast is served on the top floor with great views over the city centre. Breakfast variety and quality is rather 3 star but certainly not 5.

Just got back from a 5 night birthday celebration and we have had a wonderful time. This hotel has an elegant art deco style, very comfortable beds, and a fantastic view over the city from their terraced restaurant over breakfast and dinner. The staff are most friendly and very helpful with restaurant bookings and advice. The location is excellent, right next to the Restuadores Metro and adjacent to the Rossio Train Station where you can catch the train to Sintra. The airport bus also stops just outside the hotel in the main square in front of the hotel. Don't let this central location put you off because it is very quiet inside the hotel and the location for travel and shopping, together with all the sight seeing is perfect. We would not hesitate to return to this hotel if we go back to Lisbon.

I just fell in love with this hotel. I could not praise it high enough. Great location for sight seeing ,metro right outside and train station directly opposite. All major attractions and shops within easy access. Restaurants are plentiful all around ,you will be spoilt for choice. Fabulous breakfast served in the roof top restaurant with great views of the city. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms on second floor have a balcony overlooking Rue de Dezembro Square. Bedroom was just lovely, clean ,bright and air conditioned. I cannot find anything negative to say about this hotel. It is a little gem and I would go back tomorrow. A stay here will not disappoint. Very reasonably priced also.

Situated between Restuadores and Rossio Square this hotel was the perfect place to explore Lisbon on our 5 day city break. 40 minutes with just 1 change at Alameda Metro Station from the airport gets you to Rossio Sq, 100 metres from hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly and the room was excellent. Clean and well presented. Given that we were out all day everyday it was probable more than we needed but the bed and pillows were really comfortable after a long day. Only minor quibble was the breakfast. What was there was nice but it was pot luck as to what was available at certain times. Eggs had to be ordered but due to delay in serving them we gave up. The breakfast room, a bar late at night, has a veranda offering great views over the squares and Avenida.
