Reviews for Altis Avenida Hotel
Pros: - central city location - friendly staff, especially the extremely helpful manager at breakfast - each room comes with complementary beer, soda, juice and plenty of water. Very nice touch and much appreciated. - clean. Extra pillows and blankets were wrapped in plastic sanitary bags Cons: - asked concierge for seafood and Italian restaurants. The seafood restaurant was a street cafe where meals start at about €75. Italian was a bar like place that mostly served burgers and pizza. Ended up eating at the hotel. -small rooms Great hotel that even the Portuguese soccer team stays at. We were met by a lot of reporters but I think they were there for the team.

My husband and I are just back from a 3 day break in Lisbon. We had the pleasure of staying in the Altis Avenida Hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a 5 star hotel with bars, shops and restaurants on their doorstep. It is within walking distance to most of the top sights in Lisbon. A taxi rank is around the corner from the hotel and the yellow tour bus stop. We arrived at the hotel at 11.30am and our room was ready. This was fantastic as we could freshen up and start our day touring Lisbon. Firstly we had a fantastic lunch up on the roof terrace with a scenic view of Lisbon. The staff at the hotel were very warm and welcoming. The room was immaculate while it was a bit small but I would expect that in a city hotel. (We booked a classic room). They're are various ways to see the city and the concierge were very helpful with giving us details on the different tours. In the end we used yellow bus to tour the city. It's a great option for a quick tour or a hop on/hop off tour. We finished our evening with a drink at the hotel bar and Luis makes the best G&T's in Lisbon!!!! Nothing was ever too much trouble for any of the staff in the hotel. We had a great few nights at the Altis and look forward to returning again someday.

This is near to major subway stops, and about 30-40 minute subway ride from the airport. The central location made it easy to walk over to the Time Out Market and Alfama within 15-20 minutes. Actual room was decent, and complimentary bottle of water was appreciated. Breakfast was fine; but nothing to really write about.

Great hotel, perfectly positioned in Lisbon city centre just half an hour taxi ride from the airport. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this as a perfect base for visiting Lisbon.

This hotel is in a great location for the metro, railway station, restaurants and shops. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was really comfortable and the balcony is big enough to sit out on. All of the staff were really friendly and very efficient. The day we arrived was my partner’s birthday and he had a bottle of champagne and a cake brought to our room. The next morning we gave our room number for breakfast and Edourdo, the manager asked if we had enjoyed the champagne and if my partner had had a good birthday. Excellent service. The variety and quality of the food in the restaurant was very good.
