Altis Avenida Hotel

From the very moment I arrived at Altis Avenida Hotel, I felt something rare: a genuine sense of warmth, safety, and care. This did not feel like a hotel, it felt like a refined, comforting home in the heart of Lisbon. I would especially like to highlight Sofia, who welcomed me with such attentiveness, calm confidence, and warmth. She was incredibly thorough in explaining everything, truly listened to what I needed, and understood my request for a room with two single beds for my son and me. Not only was this request honoured, but she went above and beyond by ensuring we were given a room with a stunning view over the centre of Lisbon, which made our stay unforgettable. Throughout our five-day stay, the service was nothing short of exceptional. Any time I called, whether for an extra bottle of water or a small request, the team arrived at our door within minutes, always with a smile and often with more generosity than expected, offering an extra item without hesitation. This level of thoughtfulness makes all the difference. The housekeeping team deserves special recognition: warm, kind, discreet, and incredibly efficient. Every interaction felt respectful and human. In fact, every member of staff we encountered carried themselves with outstanding manners, positivity, and a genuine desire to help. There was never a sense of inconvenience, only willingness. I would also like to sincerely thank Raquel, Carolina, Myrian, Sofia, Claudia, and Josué. Each of you contributed to making our stay feel supported, calm, and cared for. Even when conversations required sensitivity, they were handled with grace, elegance, and composure, a true reflection of professional hospitality. Yes, this is a premium stay, but what you receive in return is far more than a beautiful hotel. You receive support, safety, kindness, and consistency - qualities that are priceless. Whether this is considered a boutique hotel or not, the level of service rivals (and exceeds) that of many larger luxury establishments. Altis Avenida is a place I would return to without hesitation, and one I would recommend wholeheartedly to anyone who values true hospitality, warmth, and excellence. We had a wonderful stay at Altis Avenida in Lisbon. We were warmly welcomed and pleasantly surprised to be able to check in early. Victor, the bellhop, was especially friendly and provided excellent recommendations for exploring the area. The hotel’s location is fantastic, being able to walk to so many attractions, shops, and restaurants was a huge bonus. The rooftop bar is absolutely gorgeous, and the daily breakfast served there was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. One small disappointment was that we didn’t learn about the complimentary sparkling wine in the lobby until our third day. Once we discovered it, it was a lovely treat to enjoy after a day of sightseeing. Our room was on the smaller side, but the balcony more than made up for it. Despite being on the second floor, street noise was minimal when the doors were closed. One elevator was under service throughout our stay, but it didn’t impact us much given our floor. The final thoughtful touch, a bottle of rosé left in our room on our last night—was a lovely way to end our stay. I would absolutely recommend Altis Avenida to anyone traveling to Lisbon and would happily stay here again.

Fantastic location - Right opposite the station where you can take the train to Sintra (that’s a must to do!). The local metro station is on the right just 3 mins away. Super market and pharmacy in the opposite lane Situated smack in the middle of town with all the main streets within walking distance. The tram 28 main starting station is a few minutes away at the open park near hotel Mondial. Amazing service- Rooms are super comfy, we are a family of 4 and booked a suite for us and a double room for our teenagers right next door. Trust me, the suite is really worthy the investment , it has a separate seating area with a tv where a family of 4 can sit and have dinner or drinks. Super comfy beds and clean and spacious rooms and bathroom. The aircon and heaters work perfectly too. Breakfast- Excellent spread, great taste and perfect and attentive service from the ladies! Love the fruit and eggs selection. The cafe is at the rooftop with great views! Lastly, the team at the reception, concierge and guest relations is brilliant. I had lots of questions almost every single morning before we started the day but they were patient, informative and friendly. Oh yes, they sent us a big plate of desserts, goodies and wine the day before we checked out. The only small con is that the entrance is on the Main Street with moving traffic and has no place for the Uber to stop so the drivers get confused and stop at the Starbucks opposite the hotel. All in all it was a fantastic experience, you can see that the staff is not only well trained but has the right attitude towards customer service which is critical in the hospitality industry. I would strongly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Lisbon.

The hotel was well located. (i.e. across from the train station, near a bus line and plenty of restaurants) The room was spacious, had a mini-fridge, closet, drawers, was soundproof and kept in impeccable condition throughout my stay! It was the staff (the people at the reception desk, doormen, cleaning staff) that made the difference. They were pleasant, friendly, quite helpful and made me feel very welcome!! There was a lovely terrace on the 8th floor that had a lovely view. It was excellent value for the money. There was also a restaurant on site which was excellent. In fact, I recommend this hotel without hesitation!!! 10 out of 10!! Of all the hotels I have stayed at in Europe, this was the best ever!! I was so well taken care of, I will have to return!
