Good hotel with Some Misses

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

A good hotel. But there were a few misses. There was no bedside phone charging. Drinking water wasn't provided. I think that was basically pretty basic. Meals were taken at the surrounding restaurants. I think it was pretty convenient with restaurants located nearby. All in all, a good hotel, with some misses.

Excellent time at Palacio Estoril

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Our stay at Palacio Estoril was excellent in every way. Great welcome from the staff. Room was just as requested. Breakfast was second to none. The hotel conceirge co-ordinated the taxi service and hotel transport. This made life so easy to play golf at Estoril Golf club and other resorts. Staff were just so polite and Diego (concierge) made our time there a very pleasant experience

Gem of a hotel with amazing service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Positive comments about service and staff are true. They were very accommodating with our dog and even provided a dog bed and bow in our room. Very convenient to Estoril Tennis Club which is why we where here for the ATP tournament. Dinner at Four Seasons was exceptional. Concierge service at the pool very posh with set up, etc.

Classic beauty steeped with in history

Beautiful hotel, central to everything in Estoril. We had a two-floor suite overlooking the pool and it was sun-filled and lovely. The breakfast was delicious and a super-warm welcome at the front desk. It’s like a maze to get to the water lounge - suggest walking across the street instead. Unique facility with lots to do.

Beautiful historic hotel from a gracious era - very enjoyable stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Had a lovely 4 night stay at this beautiful historic hotel. Location - its situated in a residential area, so not as many restaurants to choose from as in Cascais, but its an easy walk along the promenade or a hilly walk to Monte Estoril area. Nice beach and park right next to hotel. Beach and promenade have to be accessed via an underpass as the road and trainline is between the hotel and beach. Close to train and regular buses. Free parking if you hire a car. Room - its worth having a pool/(distant) sea view room vs one overlooking the road. Unfurnished small balconies are west facing for nice afternoon sun and sunsets. Rooms smallish with just one easy chair, but a desk, large closet and good sized bathroom with double sink. Comfy beds but very soft pillows. Excellent water pressure in the over bath shower. Nice toiletries. Only one bedside light between the twin beds. Lovely touches like Easter cake, egg and port in the room. Breakfast - a buffet with lots of choice although some of the hot options were a bit odd (sprouts!). Egg station for fresh cooked omelettes. Coffee pods were better than the filter coffee. Great fruit selection. Food - two restaurants and a lovely bar. Only ate in the grill for a tasting menu with wine pairing. No option for no wine, so expensive for my husband who doesn't drink alcohol. Nice food and wine. Service a bit slow and odd. Spa - loved the Banyan Tree spa. Lovely pool and sauna/hamman area, where most people were quiet. Water a little chilly for a jacuzzi. Excellent thai massages. It's accessed via lifts and under-road passage, so you can go along easily in bath robe. Service - old fashioned and gracious. Generally very polite and helpful. Was a bit of a glitch when we almost missed our trip - we were in the reception lounge but the concierge only called our room and breakfast - luckily we spotted the minibus just leaving and he came back! Loved walking along to Cascais where there is so much to see. We also booked a great 9 hour full day trip to Sintra including Pena Palace which was stunning - whereto.pt pick up from the hotel.
