Obviously we like this hotel as this was our second visit. It was nice to see some of the same nice staff there since our last visit ! Luisa at the reception as always took great care of us with upgrades to two suites, and gave us great restaurant advise etc. as well. Kind and friendly Elisabete was serving at breakfast again too! All staff are friendly of course and provide the service one would expect from a Leading Hotel of the World property. I have reviewed the "Palace" before and my feelings have not changed. Our friends were impressed and very happy as well

Perfect staff in beautiful romantic surroundings. The main house and the garden and pool area are fantastic. Not to far from the center of Lisbon and not too expensive. So go for it : Spend a little extra and get an unforgettable hotel experience

This really is a palace, and the interiors are amazing. It's renovated, so the facilities are modern. The suite had everything - private outdoor terrace, Nespresso machine, L'Occitane - even a mobile phone to take with you and use during your stay. The gardens and pool (indoor and outdoor) areas are immaculate. Lots of indoor rooms where guests could just sit and relax. Piano bar in the evening. The breakfast buffet (indoors or outdoors) was fantastic, as were the staff. Have a look at their website - I can't really describe it all.

This was obviously once a grand and beautiful hotel, but in does need tidying up as things look tired. Our check in was late as our room wasn't ready so we went for a drink at the hotel bar. Once we had ordered our drinks it took about half an hour to receive them. We then decided we would go into Lisbon but as our room wasn't ready yet we wanted to grab our coats out of our luggage which had been put in storage. We were then told by staff that our luggage had been lost and were receiving no communication from staff about what had happened to them or about what was going on. One staff member then was rude to us and gave us attitude saying 'he wasn't the one that had lost them.' In the end we missed out on a few hours that could have been spent exploring Lisbon whilst waiting to find our bags which had been put into a random room. Others in our group who arrived earlier had also left there luggage with the hotel to find that when they came back around 5 hours later their luggage was still outside near the taxi area which was not the safest or best place for it.
