A lovely hotel. Maria at check in was outstanding. The food at the Asian restaurant was one of the best meals we had in Lisbon. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and breakfast buffet. We look forward to returning to the hotel.

I recently stayed at Pestana Palace Lisboa with family extending three generations , and overall, it was a memorable experience that I would still rate as 5-star ⭐. The hotel’s historic architecture and features are truly exceptional. From the grand high ceilings to the beautifully preserved palatial finishes, the building itself creates a unique and elegant atmosphere that sets it apart. The ambience throughout the property is शानदार—calm, refined, and full of character. What really stood out was the staff. Every member of the team we encountered was courteous, attentive, and genuinely eager to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. That said, there is some room for improvement—particularly with the food offering. As a group of six vegans, we found the options somewhat limited. Although the team made a sincere effort to accommodate us (and we had even provided our dietary requirements in writing beforehand), there is clearly an opportunity for the hotel to deepen its understanding of vegan cuisine and provide more thoughtful, well-prepared options. I don’t want to overemphasize this aspect, however, because what we will truly take away from our stay is the beauty of the building, its rich historical charm, and the warmth of the staff. With a few improvements to their vegan offerings, this hotel could deliver an even more outstanding experience.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The grounds and palace were spectacular… very beautiful. In our room, we found a few things to be in need of repair (broken tile on the balcony, ripped blackout curtain, AC not working properly.) The outdoor pool was a vibe. They went the extra mile by bringing us complimentary fruit platters every night. But we felt the staff at brunch could have been a bit more attentive (filling water glasses.) Convenient location.

A charming former palace located a 15 min car ride from the old town. Very friendly service, spacious rooms, a large buffet breakfast, and a park-like pool area earns it the full score. A lovely indoor pool makes up for a decent but not excellent gym. Well worth a visit.
