Pestana Palace Lisboa

This is a beautiful hotel with great grounds and very enjoyable facilities on offer. It is not the most conveniently located for the city; however, we were aware of this when booking and it was part of the appeal to have accommodation that we could return to after sightseeing and relax by the pool. As you might expect from a hotel of this calibre, the Food & Drink prices were on the higher side compared to other bars and restaurants in the city.

We recently stayed at the Pestana Palace Lisboa for a wedding, and while the hotel itself is undeniably beautiful—with its lush, well-maintained grounds and elegant architecture—the service left much to be desired. The setting is perfect for a special event, and the wedding itself was wonderful. However, during our stay, we encountered multiple service-related issues that made the overall experience underwhelming. We had repeated difficulties simply reaching the front desk by phone, which became frustrating when trying to coordinate basic requests. In addition, something as simple as obtaining an iron and ironing board turned into a mini quest—none were readily available in-room, and we had to go out of our way just to track one down. These are small but important details that really detract from the convenience and comfort expected at a luxury property. Breakfast each morning was also a challenge. While the buffet and offerings were fine, it was noticeably difficult to get the attention of staff, and food and beverage orders often arrived slowly—if at all. If you have dietary restrictions like us, it was difficult to get some of the staff to understand what foods we could eat. The lack of notice regarding common allergens contained within each of the buffet items did not help either. Lisbon itself is a vibrant and charming city with so much to offer, and we’re already looking forward to returning. Unfortunately, Pestana Palace did not meet expectations in terms of service consistency, and for that reason, we’ll likely explore other accommodations for future visits.

I love everything about this hotel. All of the hotel workers were absolutely faultless. The room is comfortable, clean and of a high standard. Breakfast ticks every box I can think of... The art collection displayed throughout the hotel is an experience of it's own and not to.be missed. Did I mention breakfast.. (writing as I prepare to sleep.) anyway if it wasn't clear, I can't wait to come back again and again. Dreaming of afternoon tea tomorrow already ☺️

We truly enjoyed our stay. The staff are amazing, responsive and we felt appreciated in all venues Ana really stood out as an impeccable incisional who made our meal a great experience. It’s amazing how a building that is in such built up area, can seem so serene.

The service was pure excellence! The food was full of flavour and an adventure for my tastebuds. They were accommodating for my daughter and my elderly parents. Highly recommend!
