Nestled in the West Valley and surrounded by the stunning Sonoran Desert landscape, our iconic retreat is an oasis of casual elegance blended with southwestern charm. After a century of service, The Wigwam has become a part of Arizona's rich history, and synonymous with Litchfield Park and the local communities. Boasting luxury casitas and suites, the 440-acre Phoenix getaway provides a complete array of recreational amenities, pools, three unique restaurants, a luxury spa and 54-holes of championship golf, including the Gold, Blue and Red Golf Courses. The Wigwam is not just a resort, it's the beating heart of Arizona's arid landscapes.

This was our first trip to the Wigwam resort and we will definitely return. My husband and I loved the whole vibe of the place - from friendly staff, to a laid back atmosphere, to excellent dining options, great golf, etc. The golf is great and we played most days - enjoying a drink at Red's bar post round where we loved sitting at the bar and chatting with Brian the bartender. The resort has a feel of 'community' since many of the golfers (and even many of the patrons at the restaurant) are locals. It is a very welcoming atmosphere. There was a neat local concert on the property while we were there. We also ate at Papa Paul's one night. It was an easy walk and so good! We met the owner - who told us he lives on the golf course and owns all three restaurants on the little strip where Papa Paul's is. Great local vibe. Tip: Take time to research the history of the resort - the info provided at check in left me wanting more so I went down a google rabbit hole. Once you know the background, the pics and memorabilia around the main building are so much more interesting. Some feedback: We had a slightly underwhelming check in experience - we arrived about 6:30 pm and the bell stand seemed sleepy and lacked focus. Check in, itself, was smooth but the transition from front desk to bellman was awkward and the least 'customer service forward' of our experience. Nothing major but also, did not feel top tier. Additionally, it was very difficult getting bell stand to actually show up to retrieve our clubs from storage and return to our room at the end of our stay. We stayed in a junior king suite - large and very comfortable. Love the big tv's. I was surprised to find only one bathrobe. I assumed this would be corrected by housekeeping but it never was. I visited both pools. The adult pool was very quiet. Having the cold water dispenser available was ideal since there was not an attendant there on those days. The large pool was also very nice. The attendant brought water to guests one day (no water dispenser that I could see, and truthfully, I would have liked that because the large pitchers got hot pretty quickly) but bar was open and attendant was available on the other day. She was always around and checked on me frequently. Litchfield's experience was fine but nothing to write home about. We invited friends in the area for dinner. Service was very slow - friendly and nice, but very slow. Food was good but I think our experience was affected by the service. Our favorite was the Wigwam Bar. We loved sitting out in the evening with the heaters, relaxing in the desert air. Food was always very good and servers were friendly, attentive, helpful. We enjoyed live music one night but I recommend that you turn off the piped, background music during that time. We actually had to change tables to enjoy the live music because our seats were near a speaker and the piped music was competing with the live. We also had a good experience at Red's. The live music one night was top notch (A guy from Vinyl Record band, I believe). The food and service was good. I know it seems insignificant, but it would be good to include some small placards - a la museums and galleries - next to key photographs to help bring the history of the Wigwam alive. I saw many people browsing these pics and this would be such an easy thing to do to enhance the property. Overall, our experience was great and we tried to book for next year when we checked out but rates were not available yet. We will definitely return.

We had a terrible experience and would never return. After driving overnight for five hours from San Diego we arrived in the early morning hours at approximately 0430 hours. Upon arrival there was nowhere to park near the check-in area because the parking is valet and they don't open until 5am. It was a brisk morning and a chilly walk to the hotel check-in area where there was a delay in our check-in because of a computer problem. Once we were checked in and given key cards we were given a map to our room only to find the room, but the key cards didn't work. Since we had to park in the lot and had a bit of a walk with all of our luggage to the room i figured it would be equal distance to walk back to the front desk. Leaving my 12 y/o on the patio of our room I trekked back to the front of the resort and had another key card made. Unfortunately those new ones did not work either and so security was summoned to open the door for us. After about a ten minute wait standing in the cold grassy entrance to our room they finally showed up. They were unable to open the door either and informed us that the map we were given to our room was to the back door (which is why we had to walk thru grass to the door). It would have been nice if they had informed us that there was another entrance and not directed us to the back door, where apparently the key card does not activate until the front door is opened. This created about a 50-minute wait out in the cold and three trips to the front desk and back to the room before we were finally able to get in our room after 5:00 a.m. Then the topper is that early evening there was an event about 25 yards out of our back door on the grass with a band that was playing music so unbelievably loud I could not even believe it was allowed. The walks were shaking it was so loud! At about 7:30 p.m. we're trying to relax but the music was so loud that we could not relax we barely could hear our TV we had to turn it up all the way. I called the front desk and they told me that they had a permit to play till 10:00 p.m. and that they were entitled to play at that level. I asked to be moved to another room and they told me they did not have any other rooms available. The music continued until well after 10:00 when it finally ended. It is unbelievable that a resort of this caliber would book rooms directly in front of a concert area knowing there would be a loud concert for 5 hours or more and not inform the guest or give them an option to request a room away from that area or to not book here for this weekend as a result of the concert. The manager I spoke to at the front desk was very sarcastic and condescending and basically told me tough luck. Avoid this place.

I brought all the family: adult kids and grandkids! There was something for everyone! 2 days of golfing, an afternoon with the grandkids at The Wildlife World Zoo, we rented a cabana by the pool to enjoy the splash fountain for the littles and the slildes for the older kids and those young at heart. A nice evening with everyone at Litchfields with delicious cuisine, character breakfast at Red's, the Wigwam bar was frequented as we played bocci. Can't wait to come back!

This was our 2nd stay at The Wigwam Resort in 3 months. Came into town to attend two days of the Phoenix Open with family (son and family stationed at Luke AFB) that live in town. This property did not disappoint. The drive into Scottsdale was quick and easy while allowing a quiet place away from the hustle of the crowds in the evening. We were upgraded to a Fairway Suite that was absolutely beautiful. The room was spotless and the view from the suite was both tranquil and relaxing after a long day. The bed was very comfortable, allowing for a good night's rest after walking the golf course all day. We enjoyed evening beverages and conversation with family around the fire pit and morning coffee on the patio to start our days. There was no reason to leave the resort and had several meals on property at Red Allen's and the Wigwam Bar, which were all delicious. The menu selections are perfect for children, as well as adult tastes and appetites. The staff was outstanding in all aspects. From check in, to restaurant service to special requests to our room. We can't say enough good things about this property and will definitely make this our resort of choice when visiting the area in the future. Thank you Wigwam and see you again soon!

For a resort so expensive to stay at I was a underwhelmed at a few things. For one, the dirt and grime on the buildings. Next, a coworker had a massive cockroach in her room. She didn't want to call about it for whatever reason. I found a worm crawling in the bath towel in my room. I don't know what kind of bug it was. Food was meh. I love the property, it it very nice; however some attention to detail could be used.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa. The facility was beautiful, the staff courteous and helpful, and the rooms spacious. My husband, an avid golfer, enjoyed the courses right on the property. My vacation routine included hours relaxing, reading and people-watching at the lovely pool. The right prescription for a busy couple in need of some R&R!
