Very nice hotel, staff helpful and friendly, even when very busy. There were a couple of large conventions and pageants going on when we were there, and the elevators were having a hard time keeping up. Nice view of the river from our room. One thing to be aware of.....when we booked our room on line, we indicated three adults, so we'd need two beds. The website indicated a king room or two full beds, but you couldn't pick which one. We assumed since we had three adults....but when we got there, they had us in with just one king bed. Luckily they were able to find us another room, but if they had been totally full,....... Back to the elevators.....when an event finished, and there was a rush for the elevators, and they were full, the elevators would stop at the wrong floors, and miss the floors people wanted. It was weird. Many people were taking the stairs. Not good. The hotel has a huge, spread out lobby, but the registration desk was almost unnoticeable, off to the side, and very understated. We found a parking garage a short walk...maybe one block....away, that saved us a lot on the hotel parking fees. There is a nice trolley tour just a short walk away, with free rides during the summer. Pleasant way to see a bit of the city.

I had a king room while in town for a convention. We were on the 10th floor, which had a very nice view. Unfortunately, the elevators were slow - but that could have been the 1600+ attendees for our convention, plus others who were staying there. The king bed was very comfortable - I'm short, so it was a bit high off the floor for me. Had to sort of climb up onto it. Liked the bed lights. Had a sofa and coffee table - very nice. No chests with drawers - but shelving just outside the bathroom had plenty of space for everything. Only drawback - no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so mirrors were steamy. Loved the showerhead! One of those adjustable rain showers. Very nice. Housekeeping was very thorough and accommodating. Had room service one night - great food!! And quick service. One of the best things - free shuttle from airport to hotel and back. Thanks, Marriott.

The room is great. The bed is perfect. The AC works well; the room is quiet; the view of the river is nice too. I have two complaints. The van ride was exceptionally rough, and the maid didn't sweep the bathroom. Leftover hair turns me off.

I've stayed at 3 hotels in the downtown area. So far I've been most pleased here. The begging on the streets seems to be less of a hassle around here than being attacked as I set foot outside the other right by the hotel doors. It does have expensive valet but it's a full service hotel so such is down town life. Just call 15-20 min ahead to get your car.

Stayed here during Miss Arkansas pageant week. The rooms and hotel are very nice. It's very clean and spacious. All of the meeting spaces were very accessible and nice. The staff always was very friendly and helpful. The worst thing about this hotel is the valet. For one - it's $22 a night to park there. When you try to leave it takes a long time for them to find your car. While leaving the hotel at the end of the week - I waited an hour for them to bring me my car. The location is great and very close to everything downtown.
