I attended a business conference at the Little Rock Marriott, and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. The location was convenience, and in a charming area of Little Rock. There's a trolley car track that runs right in front of the hotel, and the hotel has lovely views of the Arkansas River. The hotel staff was helpful and the facilities updated. The rooms appeared to have been very recently updated. The furnishings were clean and updated. One nice feature was a soft, motion-detected light that came on under the bed side tables. This was nice for the middle-of-the-night bathroom trip. There was an in-room coffee maker and nice shelving adjacent to the closet and in the bathroom. This was a nice addition that isn't always available in hotel rooms. No mini-frig or microwave, but I didn't mind this based on the purpose of my trip. There were two bottles of water available. The bedside tables included built-in chargers for my phone. I was in a king bed room, and it included a small, stylish sectional couch that was also a nice and unexpected benefit. I did not use room service or eat in the restaurant. The only downside was that the parking was valet only. This is a quiet part of downtown Little Rock and is a far cry from downtown Chicago or New York where one might expect valet to be the only option. Now, I love the convenience of valet parking, so at $22 / day, I might not have been inclined to see this as a negative (even if a bit odd for Little Rock) except that when it was time for me to leave the hotel, it took over 40 minutes for the valets to bring my car around. I was driving back home to St. Louis that evening, so I planned my departure to allow about 15 minutes for the valets to bring my car by. I went by the valet stand, gave them my ticket and then did some other things. I came back about 15 minutes later expecting my car to be there. It wasn't. I waited for about another 10 minutes before flagging down a valet who seemed confused about whether I was picking up a car or dropping off. He had to do some checking with the other valets and determined that someone had not accurately recorded where my car had been parked. They somehow determined that it was "about a block away" and dispatched a valet to go get it, but promised that he would be right back. This took about another 20 minutes!! Since I was driving 6 hours back to St. Louis that night, the extra 40 minutes of waiting around for my vehicle was painful! They should have a self-park option or tighten the procedures with the valets. There seemed to be 4 - 6 valets available and it wasn't particularly busy, but they seemed to be disorganized.

Service was fine but the quality of the room was average with typical travel/conference experience. In addition, the sinks were clogged, the toilets had some problem flushing, the TV was intermittently unable to connect and had no movie options and there was no safe in the room. Would not return.

Marriott has always been a bit disappointing in smile at the check in (platinum membership), no hot water, no mini bar in the room, no main lighting, bathroom is weirdly shaped, lounge is very poor quality, breakfast really bad. And I may insist on that last point: breakfast is TERRIBLE. The buffet is just ridicule for a hotel of this size. The taste of fruit is just tasteless. In the end we decided to change after two nights for the hotel across the street...

Stayed here on business. The staff was friendly, the room great and the room service food excellant. No complaints at all!!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great location and adjacent to lots of things. I was able to walk to my meeting downtown.

We had the pleasure to dine in the W lounge for a private dinner tonight. The food was nice and we were amongst great company. We enjoy ourselves but I honestly feel our visit wouldn't have been the same without our server Juicy J (Jeremy 😊). He was very attentive to our needs but also very friendly. He made us feel at home, we enjoyed his hospitality. We were later introduced to the manager Cassandra, she was also a pleasure to meet.
