The hotel is beautiful and the beach is stunning. The staff is stupendous and warm and kind. This vacation experience stayed with me for a Long time afterwards as I carried the beauty and warmth of the island and the resort. From the love shown to my children to the sense of belonging that flowed naturally from the staff, everything was perfect. Keeping the spa open a Tad late for us , creating special vegan French toast for breakfast, and the Boat Club staff taking me for an extra special private swim / snorkel. Beyond 5 stars. It's 7 stars.

Today is day 4 of a 5 day stay and I'm not ready to leave. I travelled with my family, escaping a cold winter at home. The Oberoi Lombok has been the perfect break. I'm not sure how old the hotel is; I suspect it was built a few decades ago and while it is not the newest or flashiest kid on the block, the Lombok has a gracious tropical style about it that draws you in. Large and very comfy pavilions and villas and an outdoorsy restaurant you want to keep coming back to. It is the little touches that really mark the Oberoi out as special. An old fashioned turn down service, complete with a sweet treat each night, a pre-dinner amuse bouche at each dinner and complimentary daily activities that include everything from yoga, to cooking classes and nature walks. That and endlessly friendly, helpful staff. I really can't fault the hotel or the guest experience it provides. Resorts like the Oberoi, where you don't venture to the outside world very much (if at all), are not normally my thing, but I've loved every second of it. I'd return in a heartbeat.

Everything about this resort was fabulous. It is in a lovely location in beautiful established grounds. Our pool villa was absolutely gorgeous. Because it is secluded you are dependant upon the resort food which is usually a big negative for me but not here. The food was delicious with a great range available and changing live entertainment every night. But above all it was the staff and service that made it really special. Without exception everyone was great - charming, thoughtful, helpful but not intrusive. In addition the spa was great and I loved the yoga classes. We also chartered a resort boat to snorkel and visit the neighbouring Gillis - again fabulous. We will be back.

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a stay at the Oberoi to celebrate our anniversary. A beautiful resort with well-maintained immaculate grounds and incredible staff! This resort is a bit out of the way, and off the beaten path, but we loved the quiet and secluded vibe. The drive from the airport took about 2 hours. There are no close restaurants nearby, so you must dine at the Oberoi however, the food is fresh and delicious. There are a few worthwhile excursion options, but most are a distance away, and these required arranging a driver which we did through the Oberoi. We were glad we did venture off the grounds to see a bit of the countryside. We had a beach-view villa, and it was large and very well-appointed and immaculate. The beds, linens, pillows--excellent! Everything you need for a pampered week of vacation relaxation will be found here at this resort. Did I mention the AMAZING staff? The team here goes out of their way to get to know you and make you feel special and welcome at all times! We would highly recommend this resort!

The Oberoi Beach Resort is s stunning hotel, it is what we imagined a true 5* hotel experience should be like! It has a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. All the staff were first class; friendly, courteous and helpful. They arranged our private boat trip out to the Gili Islands, as well as calling for a doctor when my wife became unwell. Nothing was too much trouble. We had booked a luxury pavilion with a garden view. The room was very spacious, beautifully decorated and well appointed. The bed was large and comfortable and you had a choice of different types of pillow according to your personal preference. The bathroom was also large with a sunken bath as well as a spacious shower. There was plenty of hanging space, and plenty of hangers! There was a plentiful supply of complimentary bottled water, and fresh fruit every day. The hotel provide many of the essentials that you need, such a beach bag, flip flops, and mozzie spray for the evenings. Also you do not need to worry about tipping throughout your stay as a 10% service charge is added to all food and drink purchases to cover this. We opted to include breakfast, which was a good idea, as they were amazing. There was a huge selection on offer, and rather than the usual buffet style, everything was table service, which made it very relaxing. I particularly enjoyed their “Energy Bowls”. There was a plentiful supply of comfortable sunbeds throughout the resort, and it was not difficult to secure one at any time of the day. Once you had made your choice, one of the beach staff would bring up a tray of iced water, chilled face cloths and factor 50! All essentials in the sun. There service around the pool & beach was very quick, in particular Harry and Gede, who helped us every day with anything we needed. Although we had not opted for half board, we ended up dining in the hotel each evening, which was surprisingly good value, and there is the choice of the main restaurant or the beach bar, which has a limited evening menu. On our arrival night we joined in the beach BBQ which was a highlight of our stay. There was limited evening entertainment, mainly at the main restaurant, but it would end by about 9.30pm, which was a bit early for us but it made for a relaxing atmosphere. Being a family of four, we opted for the private boat hire trip, rather than the group option, as the cost worked out the same, and you had the flexibility of choosing where you wanted to go. Our guide, Dedi, was excellent. He kept us supplied with water, prepared our snorkelling equipment, and guided us around each of the snorkelling sites pointing out interesting corals and turtles. We stopped off on Gili Meno for a light lunch at a beachfront hotel, but you had the freedom to go wherever you wanted to. One tip though, was that we did not appreciate the need for sunscreen on our backs whilst snorkelling, so ended up with a bit of sunburn! The weather was pretty much ideal for us when we went in June, sunny, not too humid, a lovely sea breeze most days. When you look at the weather apps they show a lot of storms, but we found thy never seemed to reach the coast fortunately!
