This is a review that I really looked forward to writing even though we still have not left the hotel, it's our last night here. The best way to describe the place is perfection. Rarely would you find a hotel that pays so much attention to every single detail as this one. Room- we got the Royal Ocean View Pool Villa and it's just a place you never want to leave- the decor is beautiful and tasteful, the bed is very big and comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious and gorgeous with indoor garden patios, bougainvillea trees, statues and goldfish ponds (!!). The garden and pool area is just ❤️with sunset views over mount Agung, just incredible. Staff- lovely, attentive with great attention to detail. They make you feel truly special. Food- the menu is extensive and varied and you never feel like you want to leave the hotel to dine elsewhere. Everything we tried was delicious! Hotel grounds- so well taken care of and really gorgeous! A tropical paradise. Spa- blissful! Overall an amazing experience and a big thank you to everyone involved who made our stay a perfect 10! We would definitely be back but now also look forward to experiencing more of the Oberoi hotels around the world!

I think most reviewers have already summarised the Oberoi as we see it also. True luxury in every sense of the word. If the rest of their brand is like this then we will sample again. We stayed in a garden view villa that offered absolute seclusion, it was incredible. Breakfast was included in our rate which meant we could have it delivered to our room where we then ate outside in our private dining area overlooking the sea and the gardens, it was divine. The resort has some complimentary water sports that includes kayaking, SUP and the borrowing of snorkel equipment to investigate the local waters. The corals around the hotel have suffered the adverse effect of warming seas with many coral left dead or fluorescing in distress which was a shame but this is not exactly a resort specific phenomenon I just thought I'd mention it for this that look for exceptional house reefs. It still provided nice snorkelling however with the daily sardine hunt by the local trevally providing a lot of entertainment. We did 2 days of 2 tank dives to the gilli's and were afforded a truly personal service as the only ones diving which was excellent. Our dive guide was really great pointing out everything as we went along. An absolute must if you can. The food was great at the hotel as other have mentioned. Given the location and the culture the menu is great for the pescatarian however it did lack a little choice for those wanting local tasting dishes that didn't come from the sea. A gem we discovered on the 2nd last day was the lounger tapas menu. This was off the hook. The pork buns and duck taco's were amazing, do not miss this out. It was also a nice change for those looking for a slightly lighter lunch. Last but not least, the staff. I've never been on a holiday where most of the staff knew our names. This was a very nice touch and really helped us relax into our stay here. During this trip we have visited numerous other high end hotels but on top of everything else at the Oberoi this really made it special. All is left to say now is thanks! If you go. You will enjoy.

After having stayed at the Oberoi Bali first, which was also excellent - the Oberoi Lombok was just that notch up the scale. Once again the attention to detail was wonderful, the food excellent, although mackeral as catch of the day, ever day, was a bit disappointing! The gardens beautiful, the beach small but swept daily and no one bothering you. The staff were all lovely, knew your name straight away and treated you like you were the only person that mattered! The advice is "no tips" directly to staff, as this is catered for in the overall service charge, but there was an expectation that a few notes might pass hands, I was guilty of that as everyone went over and above what was expected! The red and white flag system - simply works and ensures that you are either left alone or have service within seconds. We loved the Oberoi Lombok and also loved Lombok, what wonderful kind people, still living in a little bit of paradise - paradise that is, until the music from the full moon parties spoil the moment - 4am music stoppage is late, especially when the call to prayer starts as the music finishes. The call to prayer is an important part of any countries way of life - a full moon party just spoils what a heavnly place the Oberoi is - pick the time of the month wisely or you might not sleep quite as well as you should!

I'm trying to keep this to the point as there is a big list of amazing things that the hotel has to offer. The food is Amazing it ranges from Indonesian, Indian and great seafood options. Dinner is a fine dining experience! The people of Lombok are extremely friendly and that comes across in a genuine service. It's the little things that makes this a classy 5star resort: They clean your sunglasses during the day, they have a flag system so that you can attract their attention or not be disturbed, the turn down service is meticulous, they provided me with a bookmark and velcro to tie my charger lead up after observing I needed one, my partner's jewelry was paired up and organised when cleaning, the list goes on! Everything else is available on their website! We have visited many 5 star hotels. This surprised as being the best we have visited!

A perfect hotel in quiet Lombok. Lovely touches throughout, great food, perfectly appointed rooms but it's the service here that makes the wow moments. Thanks to everyone at the Oberoi. The most wonderful stay. We are converts to the whole group now.
