The Oberoi Beach Resort, Lombok

Genuinely great place. Full Oberoi treatment, nothing too much trouble, staff attentive but discreet, rooms beautiful (pool villas especially) and diving very nice. Yes it’s one of the older Oberoi Hotels but really that adds charm and mature grounds. Thoroughly recommended. Just be careful about weekend parties on the beach a long way away, but where sound really travels.

We've stayed at some pretty special places over the years but the stay here was exceptional. Aside from the beautiful setting and lovely room, the staff were of the highest calibre - extremely warm and friendly while working seemingly effortlessly to make everything run like clockwork. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough - it is magical!

Oberoi is the place to stay in Lombok when on a holiday. Tanmay and his team take such good care of guests. We went looking for a relaxing stay, reached early. We were given a very warm welcome and we even got upgraded to a villa. Check-in & Check-out was smooth and quick. Food and drinks have a lot of choices and the team also are very attentive to individual dietary needs. The jetty onsite provide diving lessons, snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking. I also picked up macrame as a hobby. My son got interested in diving after the diving discovery lessons onsite. The spa offers great treatments. A big shout out to every staff member and a special mention to Tanmay for making our holiday special. We will definitely go back.

Our visit to Indonesia, in Ubud, Bali, at a highly rated hotel (yes B**ma 8, never again!!) was sadly abysmal. So I visited the Oberoi, Lombok with far lowered expectations, knowing that the property was old. Oberoi Lombok just blew us away from get go. They were consistently excellent at ALL touchpoints; from airport pick up to check in, dining, poolside service & the sports centre. Service was impeccable; warm without being intrusive. Yes, the property is old but the grounds are well maintained & the food is excellent. The chefs churned out gorgeous plates of nasi goreng, mie kuah, ikan lumpiah & we enjoyed the rjistafell for dinner. Cocktails were well proportioned & the bartender knows his stuff; mojitos, negronis & the old fashioneds were just classically prepared. You will NOT have a reason to leave the resort for anything. Like all wonderful innkeepers, Oberoi Lombok spoils her guests. On my last evening, we received personalised wood carvings from the Oberoi Lombok. I guess I am a loyal customer for life.
