The Oberoi Beach Resort, Lombok

Super location, amazing service, great food and incredible rooms. The best hotel in lombok! Compared to the Sira, which I stayed at too, the Oberoi is so much better in all aspects.

10/10 Where do I start? This is a timeless and elegant resort with top-notch service, delicious food, well appointed rooms and a wonderful atmosphere. Perhaps that is what made our stay at The Oberoi even more special- the atmosphere. The warm, sincere, attentive yet discrete service really helps to create an environment where you immediately feel at home. We chose a bungalow which was generously sized and had a large private pool and plenty of privacy. Complete with a dining terrace and serene small garden, we really enjoyed having a glass of wine and watching the spectacular sunset. I want to give huge credit to the wonderful housekeeping team who cleaned our room twice daily. It was our honeymoon and Yogi and Ricky made multiple special floral arrangements to give that thoughtful touch. It is the little things that set this hotel apart - tying my bundle of cables together, leaving small flowers by the bath, replenishing the candles after each burn and leaving us earplugs if the masjid would wake us up. It was so appreciated. The rooms are spacious and everything has been thought of. From a plug in mosquito repellent, to spray, to both light and heavier dressing gowns to a four poster bed with nets. The second terrace with views over the water was also a lovely design touch, as was the huge sunken bath. The whole resort is beautifully cared for. It is elegant. The gardens are stunning and the gardeners work hard to perfectly manicure everything. Every single member of staff has a smile on their face and are super attentive and detailed. However, you never feel stifled, the staff give you your space and I think that is precious. From snorkeling on the Gilli Islands to having spa treatments and enjoying a rijstafel - we loved our stay. The chef tried his best to accommodate a food intolerance which we really appreciated. The food is very high quality here and the menu is vast. It was the best food of our multi-destination trip. Finally, I wanted to mention Ali. Ali served us every night at dinner and is one to watch. Warm, organised and hugely engaging, he is a credit to the hotel. Guests were all connecting with him and he had a great sense of when to engage and when to give space. Absolutely fantastic. We had an ocean view villa, the room was spacious with a sitting area, balcony and large bathroom for us the staff made our 5 day stay memorable. Nothing was too much trouble. The chef Ansel really went the extra mile to ensure your food was to your choice. He spoke to us most evenings. Amazing! Michelle the F&B manager was always attentive to ensure every detail was perfect. This is an ideal hotel to chill out and just relax. The service whether in the restaurant, bar, poolside of beach was exceptional. Probably the best hotel we have stayed in for its overall experience. My wife was unwell at one stage and the staff rallied round to help in any way they could. A very special and thoughtful touch was a personal intervention by the General Manager. So caring and considerate. Cannot fault the place. Room service both morning clean and evening turn down fantastic attention to detail. Thank you for making our stay so special.

Only on day 2 and find staff are absolutely fantastic and caring. Had an upset stomach and were so attentive. The food is fantastic, location and even sunglasses cleaning. We have left the best hotel to last.

We came here for our honeymoon and will take away amazing memories that will last forever. The resort is breathtaking, people are so so friendly. Would recommend a trip to know more about the island and culture. We also had a great time visiting the Gili islands and snorkelling. Would highly recommend
