We had the pleasure of staying a whole week at this great hotel and must admit the great reviews are well deserved. From check-in to room service, pool attendance and food there is nothing that could be improved. You feel like family from the very first moment you arrive. We also got on some dive tours with their Padi Dive base and were very happy with the equipment and of course the dive guides there. No wonder even FC Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer stayed there some time ago. Will definitively be back!

We've just returned from our three week Honeymoon in Indonesia and the Oberoi Lombok is where we enjoyed our stay the most by a huge distance! When we arrived, we discovered that I had stupidly made a booking for the Oberoi Bali instead of the Oberoi Lombok by mistake. Feeling very sheepish and fully expecting to have to write off the existing booking as our original reservation was booked on the advance purchase rate and non refundable. Arman who met us at the front desk was fantastic. Exceptionally friendly and understanding, he arranged to book us in at the Oberoi Lombok and to cancel and refund our existing booking in Bali, all within about 15 minutes of arriving whilst we enjoyed our welcome drinks and cakes despite the mistake being entirely my fault. Customer service like that means so much. The hotel is beautiful. The pool area is breathtaking with its multi layered architecture leading out to the hotel's stunning private beach overlooking the Gili Islands. The room was magnificent and very well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom is stunning. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and all take the time to remember your name making your experience feel all the more special and unique and the service is top notch. The food is fantastic all over the hotel, whether you order the poolside tapas, the bar menu or in the restaurant, all of it is delicious and expertly prepared. There are lots of activities to do in the hotel including all manner of such as kayaking and snorkelling and the hotel can arrange trips for you to see Lombok's beautiful waterfalls and volcanos which are well worth taking advantage of, should you ever feel the need to leave the hotel. The service you receive at the hotel is the best bit. It is prompt and proactive, they utilise a very clever yet simple flag system which allows you to attract a member of staff within seconds should you require anything whilst you are relaxing. I honestly can't recommend this hotel enough, we will certainly be back. Hopefully I'll book the right hotel next time!

It has been nine years since my last stay at The Oberoi, Lombok and the experience is still "top of the world". One can notice the subtle changes with renovations completed over the years, thus ensuring the property remains in "tip top" shape while providing ideal opportunities in capturing the perfect photo. Upon arrival at the hotel, the staff awaits curbside to greet you with a lei. I am not the biggest fan of lei greetings as to me it signifies "newbie on property" and warrants unwanted attention. Nevertheless, the purpose of the trip is in keeping the lady happy, thus the unwanted attention comes secondary. The staff escorts you the chairs providing a breathtaking view of the water and distant Gili islands all whilst providing a welcome concoction and snack. Meandering to our villa, we enter a beautiful courtyard complete with a wonderful outdoor dining area and a view of the ocean in the background. Entering the villa, one is transformed back in time as I remembered my first impressions of this property many, many years ago even though a renovation has occurred since. Take the time to visit the Gili islands, the property provides both group and private rental options. You will have an opportunity to snorkel . . . an opportunity you will not want to miss. The clarity of the water, the coral, the fish (oh the fish), and on this occasion over 7 turtles . . . truly a memorable opportunity. The trip also provides an opportunity to visit one of the Gili islands to explore or grab a bite to eat. Will definitely be back in the future and look forward to creating my next memory at this wonderful resort. Just need to find a way of doing it under 9 years . . .

This hotel was spectacular. True luxury. Amazing staff all very attentive and helpful. Everyday welcome cold towel. We ate at the restaurant everyday and even met chef Jyoti who accommodated our special requests. We love Indian food and he was more than happy to make something not on the menu for us. Such a beautiful property, it's really magical. The house reef in front of the hotel is great- just swim out towards see from the beach past all the sea grass until you get to the sea. Only comment to note is that breakfast was not included in our stay and when you add the price of all the meals (slightly pricey but not out of keeping with 5* star service and food). Highly recommended can't wait to be back!

We loved this hotel and didn't want to leave. Great food, helpful staff and a great natural setting. The pool is nice and warm and there was always a space is lounger. The rooms are massive and very well appointed. The beach is lovely but you need flip flops, although the hotel provides them! It is expensive but it's a great treat. I couldn't think of much for them to do to make a break any more special.
