Nice Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Stayed here for a brief 1 night stay after a long flight. The night check in crew was extremely friendly. The room was quiet, comfortable, and decent space. I did take a later in the morning shower (10AM maybe?) and the water was just below room temp, hence the ding on the 5th star. The staff here is extremely helpful, were quick to help store bags and take care of any of our request. Location Wise - it's next door to Liverpool station, so super easy access. I would stay here again.

Faultless Service and a Fantastic December Break

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We had a wonderful 4-day stay at the Andaz Liverpool Street this December. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome from the very start, providing "simple attentions" that made a big difference to our comfort. The service was impeccable and the team was remarkably friendly throughout. A special shout-out to Karim, who was incredibly attentive and even helped us discover some wonderful new recipes during our stay! The breakfast was another highlight—it was delicious and catered perfectly to our dietary preferences with a rich variety of options. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or more attentive service. Highly recommended!

Excellent Location and Characterful Stay in the Heart of the City

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I booked Andaz London Liverpool Street primarily for its unbeatable access to Liverpool Street Station, which proved incredibly convenient. The lobby is funky and full of character, and the reception staff were genuinely friendly, kind, and efficient—an excellent first impression. Our room was not particularly large, but the bed was very comfortable and the linen of good quality. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning felt dated and was quite noisy, even when switched off, so I was grateful to have earplugs. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, so can’t comment on that aspect. The hotel is ideally located near Spitalfields, which has seen a huge upgrade recently. The area felt safe to walk around both day and night and had a lovely Christmas atmosphere, with festive markets and plenty of life. It’s also an easy tube ride to Covent Garden. Overall, the access to both the train station and the Underground is excellent. It’s a beautiful old building with striking architecture, set among newer, sleek skyscrapers, which makes the contrast particularly interesting. I really enjoyed discovering this area of London.

Adequate, good location, but not 5 stars and spoilt by loud music

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Overall it did not feel like a 5-star experience, beyond the very impressive lobby. The room was very standard, although clean and well-decorated, and got little natural light. It got hot at night, and the window could not be opened; air con was available but I struggle to sleep with it on. Two out of the four nights of my stay, there was very loud music coming from one of the function rooms. On one evening in particular, this was going on all evening until almost midnight and was loud enough that the window frame of my room was shaking, and I had the pleasure of hearing drunk people sing along to Abba and Christmas songs when I was trying to sleep. I complained about this on checkout and was given a rather insincere apology. I thought it was ridiculous that at well over £500 per night (thankfully paid by my company and not me) breakfast was not even included and cost an additional £25 per day - and that was the "discounted" rate. The main purpose of a hotel is a place to sleep comfortably, and it barely even met that requirement. On the plus side: great location, very good gym, and the happy hour was nice although I'd choose free breakfast over free booze.
