Andaz London Liverpool Street in London, England

From art installations to a poet in residence, the Andaz London Liverpool Street captures London's exuberantly creative spirit. This classic Victorian hotel turned hip urban retreat is "a style coup for designer Sir Terence Conran," raves Fodor's in August 2005. Bedrooms are chic and sleek at this Luxury Resorts affiliate, while dining is some of the best in the city at Aurora, shimmering beneath a stained glass dome, and the Fishmarket with its seductive Champagne bar.

To immerse yourselves in the contemporary arts scene, hit the Tate Modern. Then indulge in a treasure or two from the shops of Oxford Street or the stalls of Camden Market. Although on the cutting edge, London remains a city steeped in rich history--enjoy traditional pursuits such as afternoon tea, a cruise along the Thames or an evening stop on Waterloo Bridge to watch the sunset over Westminster.

The staff were very attentive and a lovely hotel. Even down to the complimentary hot drinks in reception. My only ‘gripe’ was that during our stay whenever we used the bathroom (sink, shower or toilet) it sounded like the whale talking from ‘Finding Nemo’ !! This was a shame as became annoying.

I have used this hotel many times and it always offers good service, a comfy bed and friendly staff. The Breakfast is excellent, leave yourself time for a long breakfast in the beautiful Breakfast room, with delicious food, and lovely waiters, great selection at the buffet and fab things on the menu

I spent three nights at the Andaz London Liverpool Street. The hotel is well located, virtually right above Liverpool Station making travel around London quite easy. It styles itself as a modern boutique hotel, albeit housed in an old building which blends the old with the new. My room was comfortable with a good sized bathroom, albeit with no natural light (a narrow window looked into an internal void in the building). The buffet breakfast was very nice, the free snacks in the mini bar came in handy, and the Wifi was free and reliable. Overall, it was a nice stay and I’d happily stay here again.
