Sleek, chic and adored by the jet set, The Berkeley, part of The Savoy Group, is a hidden gem in the heart of London's fashionable Knightsbridge district. One of London’s most acclaimed restaurants, Marcus combines two Michelin-starred cooking with a relaxed, contemporary space.
Surrounded by local village atmosphere, and minutes from the city's finest boutiques and historic places, The Berkeley is an excellent base for exploring London. Reviews for The Berkeley
Stayed at the Berkeley for a birthday treat booking under the Foodie Fantasy package. Good opportunity to compare the hotel having stayed at both Claridge's & the Connaught. The package offers I think good value for money including champagne, breakfast, & dinner at Marcus the signature restaurant. We also added in a couple of spa treatments. Overall a wonderful experience with impeccable service, and genuine hospitality. Marcus was wonderful with excellent cooking & a brilliant sommelier really wanting to understand the sort of wine you like and support you with helpful suggestions. The spa was excellent with a wonderful pool on the 7th floor overlooking the skylines of London. Great treatments. Why the 4 stars ? A error with the bill required challenging and the explanation left more confusion. Costs were deducted but simply raised more questions. A further phone call was required to clarify and a third bill was issued With a further reduction. If this hadn't been pursued I would have been overcharged. A gentleman appeared to be having similar problems when we were checked in. Fantastic front of house but it is this sort of things that can spoil a stay. Stayed Knightsbridge suite and would recommend.

When you leave a hotel, but don't really want to, then you know they have managed to create a small 'home' in your mind. The Berkeley did that for me. It's not perfect, but it is how I like my home; warm, friendly and personal. When something isn't quite right, then its the way its managed that makes it feel homely. I do not think I am the only one who felt this: I was with colleagues from the Gulf, the hotel had visitors, (those just seen by me in my short stay), from affluent 'country England', to European footballers, to a US diplomat, to a large family from India, to a somewhat mellow but trendy young London social 'set' and an elderly gentleman who was obviously a local, wealthy 'regular'. Courtesy all round, everyone attended to in their way, and it all felt like a genuinely caring staff. For me, a past hotelier of 2 decades serving, this was real service. The rooms, not large, but carefully thought out, convenient and cosy. Good amenities, nice bathroom. Spotless. I did not eat at the star-rated restaurant, but did have a light dinner in the Blue Room, and small but impeccable bar which serves great light meals. So good I ate there twice, just to show that consistent standards, servings and presentation is paramount in a good eatery. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, but be warned it can be very pricey, and is not shy about this.

The Berkeley is a fantastic hotel conveniently located in the Knightsbridge area near Hyde Park corner. Once you enter through the understated, yet elegant entry, you are greeted with a warm welcome by the highly professional and extremely friendly staff. At the same time the decor and feel of the lobby and reception area make you feel right at home. Then there are the rooms! What can I say? The rooms more than live up to and surpass the front of the hotel in feel, finish and decor. The rooms continue to make you feel at home. You will not be disappointed. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and cannot recommend this hotel enough!
We returned to The Berkeley for our fifth wedding anniversary and received a very warm welcome. The hotel has been recently refurbished to a very high standard and we had an amazing room on the quiet side of the hotel with enormous terrace. Our visit brought back very fond memories of our wedding at the Berkeley in 2012. We had relaxing massages at the spa and then sipped champagne next to the pool on 7th floor with fabulous views over Hyde Park and Knightsbridge. As expected the tasting dinner at Marcus was delicious - the flavour combinations are unique. Our favourites were the cheese/truffle dish and the lamb. The weekend was a real treat and the hotel made us feel very special - thank you.

Stunningly beautiful food in glamorous surroundings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very attentive and offered little extras of food that people were enjoying most. The sandwiches were varied and unusual; the cakes were works of art. I loved it.
