The "BLAKES HOTEL" is a very unique and incredibly warm experience that combines the "tradition" of it's location with the "modern approach" to hospitality. The rooms are living works of art and the overall atmosphere can be crafted to be whatever you make it. I have stayed there on 5 occasions now doing business and with family and it is my go-to spot in London, especially after having spent a lot more to get a lot less. The food is also elegantly prepared and presented and if you want to party... They have a late night scene that also lives up to the hype. Lastly, most of the staff is VERY polite and service oriented. Overall the Blakes Hotel is an incredible place.

My partner and I stopped in to London en route back from Florence for 4 days in early May 2017 and stayed at Blakes. We loved the location in South Kensington and Chelsea - such a beautiful neighbourhood, quiet and residential but with lots of greenery and restaurants and shops within walking distance. The tube was also a short walk away for getting around. The hotel has the feel of an intimate private club, very smartly decorated and each room has its own unique flair - we stayed in a very romantic four poster room # 108, which had a great little terrace and lots of windows. The restaurant downstairs, which also has an incredible back patio with a one-of-a-kind birdcage table, was also top notch. An additional bonus we discovered one evening upon returning from dinner was that the hotel also hides a hot little lounge in the basement, complete with a great DJ and tasty cocktails - so we could extend our evening without having to go anywhere! I highly recommend Blakes for anyone travelling to London and is seeking intimacy - 10 out of 10.

It is the coolest hotel in London, walking distance to anywhere! Located at a quiet street! The design is a WOW! The breakfast was so impressive, even the eggs were carefully selected, the level of details is second to none! Well done!

This is not the blakes as Anoeska Hempel envisioned.Restaurant has not frech at the moment pressed orange juise. Food was not as we expected. Breakfast was poor and took to long for service. We do not recomment this hotel.

The hotel was ideally located for us in South Kensington. The iconic black exterior continues into the lobby and the rooms, the darkness offset by gold trimmings and the cheerful welcome of the parrots in the lobby. Our room was large with king bed and large bathroom. We had a small balcony and lots of sunlight. The finishings were of an excellent quality. The bathroom amenities all that we needed and of good quality. We arrived to a hand written welcome note and a good bottle of red wine on the table in the centre of our room. The room was well appointed with all the necessary sockets for two people with a multiple of electronics that constantly need charging. We did not eat at the restaurant but breakfast was excellent with a variety of healthy options and juices. The bar was cosy, the barmen friendly but professional. We did not go to the downstairs bar but it was obviously very popular. It did not intrude on our enjoyment and you could not hear the bar areas from our room on the first floor. The best part of the hotel was the staff, a friendly, outgoing yet professional team who were engaging with the guests - to us a sign of very good management. Fantastic hotel - we look forward to returning.
