Stayed here a week and enjoyed it very much. The restaurant is very cozy and the food was perfect, you get a artichoke as a starter (yum yum). The staff are mostly Italian and extremely kind and attentive. Same for breakfast and the bar downstairs with live music. Rooms are very nice and you get nice mint water in the evening. Someone is looking after all the details very carefully. Would highly recommend.

Accommodating, chic, fun, cool, awesome come to mind when I think about my stay at Blakes. Thanks so much Blakes for accommodating me on my impromptu trip to London. I especially want to give a shout out to Maciek, the manager, who was so gracious, hospitable and helpful. Wouldn't it be so great if every hotel behaved in the manner! I will DEFINITELY stay at Blakes again and again.

I stayed here with my wife for the first part of our honeymoon at Christmas time, the staff were really welcoming and friendly, they delivered tasty complimentary cocktails to our room on arrival, we stayed in the Cardinal Suite and it was stunning, a beautifully decorated room, really romantic vibe and cool experience. The only small fault with the room was that it needed a little upkeep, some of the tapestries were a little worn but apart from that it was the most beautiful interesting room. We had a delicious meal delivered to our room on the first night and we ate Christmas dinner in their restaurant and the food was very good. It is an expensive hotel and there are not a lot of facilities, spa, pool etc but it is a gorgeous boutique hotel in a really beautiful part of London and we had a fantastic time and would love to return.

Where to begin... was so hopeful when I arrived. Definitely a cool vibe. But that's where it stayed. The rest of the experience thus far has been anything but cool. In fact pretty disappointing. I was put in a room that felt like an afterthought. Closet made out plywood and painted white and blue. Took a PHD to keep the closet closed. After 4 times asking for someone to look at my air conditioning, the technician came after I walked back to the front desk. This is btw, after 9pm. Not the place for a business traveler. Given there is zero counter space in the bathroom, needed to use the desk to put toiletries which meant very little workspace. After the 3rd request, I stopped asking for down alternative pillows. They just weren't going to arrive. Finally, the evening duty manager needs to learn some proper managerial skills and should learn to speak to people on his team with respect.
