Overpriced, under delivered.

Very average. Overpriced and under delivered. Cocktails at £16/17 unfortunately did not live up to expectation when you finally got them. We felt sorry for the waiting team who were pleasant enough but the bar staff appeared more interested in chatting to each other. In a near empty bar on a Saturday night we waited at least 20 minutes for each drink. In sum, poorly managed and complacent attitude. I could have ordered a better gin and tonic at my local for a third of the price.

A really perfect experience

I have stayed in Firmdale Hotels and been in their restaurants in London and New York. It's been a while since I had lunch at The Charlotte Street Hotel here in London. It's really perfection -- the staff, service, food, everything -- right down to the china, which Kit Kemp designed. I had the most marvelous fluffy cheese croquettes as a starter, a perfect risotto as a main, and a dessert of bread and butter pudding with the most insanely fabulous toffee sauce ever! I highly recommend this gem of a hotel and restaurant located in such a central spot.

Absolutely charming and wonderful hotel in centre of London

Me and my family (of adult children with partners but no kids) stayed at this hotel over new year 23/24. We just loved the interior and the whole atmosphere of the hotel. A part from the « all day decorations » you really felt Christmas. It was cosy and nice. Staff was very friendly and professional. Always helpful to give advice about theatres, museums, and restaurants etc. We had two standard rooms with queen beds for the children with partners. These rooms were quite small but it was not a bother for any of our children. The building itself is so pittoresque that they didn’t really think about the room size. It’s kind of a part of the charm,,, My husband and I had a beautiful room (#200) with a nice view of the street below, which was very calm and quite during our stay. We did not include breakfast in our stay, but the positive thing is that we could go into the restaurant and only order a coffee and croissant. This was very appreciated as we are not big breakfast fans. A part from that the hotel is very well situated in the centre of London with short walking distances to Soho and nearby districts. We walked next to everywhere and never felt insecure at any time of the day/night. We will for sure stay there again and I can but recommend it to friends and people reading this comment. If there was one thing missing, for me, it was just a coffee machine in the room. But that was really not a big deal and to be honest I didn’t even ask if I could have one during our stay. A big thanks to all the nice staff and direction.

Wonderful Hotel.

We love this hotel. It is quirky and unusual but beautifully located and the decor is interesting and trendy. The rooms are beautifully appointed and really quiet which is not a given for a hotel in London, even an expensive one. The bar is buzzing and you Probably need to book a place if you want to drink cocktails there. Breakfast is excellent. Overall probably our favourite London Hotel though it is getting very expensive now.
