Reviews for COMO Metropolitan London
I was so looking forward to staying at this hotel. My wonderful wife and I stayed 5 nights. The room was awesome, looking over the park. The doormen were great, the room service was also great, 5 stars... the location was also great ..... BUT .... the reception staff were terrible... arrogant, aloof, pompous and really just not friendly at all .... remember we stayed for 5 nights ! And not once did the reception staff acknowledge us, not once. We have stayed in some of the best boutique hotels across the world, and some of the best more traditional 5 star hotels so we know good and bad service. It’s such a shame cause the location and room were awesome....the reception staff need to learn that guests are number one , not themselves !! Next time unfortunately we will find another London hotel to stay.

This hotel was recommended by a friend and what good tip it was. Obviously its location is great, close to many Mayfair restaurants, Oxford street, underground, Hyde park and Buckingham Palace. However, this is just one element that is shared also by other hotels in the area.. The difference comes from a very professional and friendly staff with attention to detail (from reception to maid service) and the many amenities in the room that makes your life easier. Large comfortable room with modern design, comfortable bed, nespresso machine, all kinds of plugs (great for us with no adapter) and a very handy control panel to handle lights, curtains, A/C. Everything was perfect and very clean. I was also positively surprised by the gym facilities, up to date surpassing most 5 star hotels. Room service was fast, accurate and tasty. Last but not least, returning to the room in the afternoon a surprise birthday cake awaited us there! My wife had her birthday and reception had picked that up from the passport as I had not mentioned anything. Great move guys, really made a difference. All in all, I have been to many good hotels in London, this is now my favorite. Great value!

5 th Floor room not much of a view as on the side of the building. Large space with very comfortable bed. Well appointed room and bathroom A service area in the corner with Nespresso machine mini bar and small but expensive at ÂŁ28 bottles of wine on a shelf Draw full of useful goodies, not free or cheap. Room service was prompt, my first choice was going to take some time and was warned by the staff so changed to stir fried duck and noodles which was very tasty. Breakfast was a treat staff very welcoming and attentive selection was wide My eggs royal possibly the best I have ever had. Patisseries with coffee were also freshly baked and arrived warm. Another delightful one night stay. Hope to be back next year

This is an excellent hotel that’s got a great location for the West End. Not far from Piccadilly and the shopping district. Very clean rooms and a good breakfast too. The hotel bar is friendly and quiet which is nice. Worth staying at.

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel. Light and elegant, with first class modern amenities, it concentrated on what seasoned travelers like. For instance, sit-down breakfasts and an evening turn-down service are not common any more, and they feel nice. Members of the staff were kind and forthcoming, doing their best to meet the requests of the guest. Probably the best hotel stay we ever had in London.
