The Dorchester

Oh my goodness what a,fantastic visit. Just sublime. Such a superb time, just one night but jeez it waz so so wonderful. Such a lovely bed and my goodness such kindness to my partner who was feeling unwell.

From the minute we arrived we knew we had made the right decision to spend 3 nights at the Dorchester. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful, escorting us to our rooms and answering questions throughout our stay. The lobby was beautiful with stunning flower arrangements. Our room on the 6th floor overlooking Hyde Park was beautiful, spacious, & clean. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were excellent. The bathroom was very nice with a spacious walk-in shower. The AC worked great. The Promenade Restaurant served delicious breakfasts and lunch and the service was very friendly and attentive. The Vesper Bar was a fun place to come to after a full day of sightseeing, and the drinks were interesting and good. The staff throughout remembered us right away and were very friendly, wanting to make sure we had everything we needed. Dinner at Alain Ducasse was a wonderful experience with delicious cuisine. The service and food were exceptional. They invited us into the kitchen which added a fun moment to the evening. The Dorchester is a beautiful, exceptional hotel, very centrally located to all the main sights in the Mayfair area, and it really sets the bar as to what a 5 star luxury hotel should be.

A fabulous Afternoon Tea to celebrate a special birthday. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were all delicious, with impeccable service from our waiter Anuar. He was a star😃.

It is my first time I come back to the Dorchester after the renovation .I used to stay here long time ago and was pleasant stay with perfect service specially during the breakfast time .The interiors are fabulous and sitting area for the afternoon tea is fantastic .we ordered the Wimbledon afternoon tea .The waitress who was serving us was so awful and didn’t reach the standards of the dorchester .I asked her about the teas and she told me see by myself in the menu.I asked her about their signature teas and what each one consisted but she answered with an upset face .She brought the sandwiches without plates to eat and she didn’t explain what exactly the sandwiches .she keeps the dirty cups and plates and not taking them as long we don’t tell her .The waitress totally ruined our experience and I think the Dorchester should go back to their older staff .
