About the Hotel

The pair of red brick townhouses that make up The Egerton House Hotel stands on 17th Century land that the alderman of London entrusted to slaves being held by Turkish pirates. A string of colorful characters inhabited the mansions through the decades, and remnants of history remain in each uniquely decorated room. Elaborate padded headboards, brocaded fabrics and original antiques combine to create an ambiance that is both stately and welcoming.

Reviews for The Egerton House Hotel

Simply the Best

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

This could not have been a better experience. We had originally booked elsewhere but as I was skimming through Trip Advisor I kept coming across these reviews and how great the customer experience was. That could not have been more true. It is a small, intimate hotel that feels like quintessential English royalty. Our room was perfect (the daily sweets were to die for), the breakfast was amazing but the people made this place special. It is in the perfect location and you can easily get to the tube. We spent 7 days in this hotel and we wished it could have been more. We will definitely return. Thank you Egerton for making this anniversary trip more amazing than I could have imagined.

Best vacation experience ever!

This visit was the ultimate in luxury! From the staff who bent over backwards to fulfill our every wish to the comfy bed, fluffy pillows and luxurious bath linens, not to mention the chocolates in our pillows every night. The staff was knowledgeable, courteous and so friendly! The food was delightful and the bar phenomenal! We did not want for anything! A truly elegant experience!

The Best There Is

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

There is no better hotel anywhere. Period. Full stop. I've lived and visited cities and towns all over the world and have experienced the best and worst of many countries. Egerton House sets the standard for finding the perfect blend between caring for guests and giving them space to enjoy their stay. The staff is the very best there is, the setting is ideal and a superb stay is guaranteed.

Egerton House: Superb Boutique Hotel with Outstanding Food Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

When looking for a place to stay in London while visiting or vacationing you simply cannot get anything better than the Egerton House for a very pleasant and memorable stay. My spouse and I completed a Transatlantic Cruise from the USA into London, UK, and we stayed on for a few days to visit London. London is a great City, and the Egerton House made the visit that much more enjoyable and memorable. A five-star boutique hotel, centrally located in the elegant Knightsbridge neighborhood, the Egerton House was a ‘class act.’ From friendly, knowledgeable and caring staff, to gourmet meals, coupled with their distinctive and impeccably decorated clean rooms made this visit quite exceptional. We were treated like ‘royalty’ at the Egerton Hotel and as a result of our experience, we are now planning on a return visit later this year. I highly recommend the Egerton House and promise, there absolutely won’t be any disappointments.

Wonderful stay at Egerton House

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We really enjoyed the Egerton House Hotel! It felt like a home away from home (a very comfortable home with wonderful tea and shortbread cookies always available). We were able to walk or take the tube everywhere from the National Gallery of Art to the British Museum to the Tate Modern and by train to Cambridge. We appreciated the front desk staff very much. Mustafa, Angel, Benjamin, Giulia and Sarah really went the distance for us for every request. The personal approach they took made it a very enjoyable stay. Our room was really great too (thanks to Mustafa)!
