The Egerton House Hotel in London, England
The pair of red brick townhouses that make up The Egerton House Hotel stands on 17th Century land that the alderman of London entrusted to slaves being held by Turkish pirates. A string of colorful characters inhabited the mansions through the decades, and remnants of history remain in each uniquely decorated room. Elaborate padded headboards, brocaded fabrics and original antiques combine to create an ambiance that is both stately and welcoming.

Reviews for The Egerton House Hotel
Please keep reading this is a good review . My wife organised a surprise afternoon tea on the occasion of our dogs birthday ! Yes they do afternoon tea for dogs. Crosby was accompanied by My wife and 2 children . This hotel has the perfect English Christmas setting and we were made welcome from the moment we walked in. We went for the traditional afternoon tea, kids had their version and Crosby was welcomed with his own experience including meat loaf, biscuits and doggy ice cream brought out in special dog bowls with the staff singing happy birthday. Other guests were I fear a little surprises , but all joined in with the song and as dogs do, helped us all speak to each other and it made a very special afternoon . I love places that go the extra mile and the staff here were exceptional as was the surroundings Lastly , my wife had a cocktail and said best lemon drop in London and we certainly will return soon If in Knightsbridge I would say it would make a perfect end to your day . Thank you

An incredible hotel in the heart of Knightsbridge. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely Giulia who attended to our every need. The rooms have serious WOW factor and really do take you back in time (in a good way). The suite we upgraded to was impeccable with a lovely sitting room and terrace overlooking a beautiful garden. The bed was super comfy and the large TV certainly helped. Id definitely recommend and i look forward to visiting again soon with my family. 5 stars :-)

We traveled to over 3 countries in two weeks, of all the different places we stayed, the Egerton House Hotel was BY FAR our favorite. The staff was so welcoming and kind, we felt like we were staying with friends, not just at another hotel. They amenities were spectacular, the hot chocolate and the tea time with puppies both just warmed my heart. Next time I come to London, I will definitely be staying with Egerton House!
Perfectly located to S Kensington. Service levels that I thought were in the past. Exceptional. The entire facility was maintained to the highest level. If I was looking for a fault, I would be hard pressed to list a single one.

We loved our stay in this hotel - elegant and beautifully furnished room in a wonderful location - we wandered around the V&A, had a moonlit walk through Hyde Park and were only minutes from tubes that took us into the centre of the city. Breakfast was a real highlight - excellent service and food that allowed us to really take our time and relax at the start of the day. Excellent service extras - keeping our bags for us until our departure time, fast laundry turnaround. A pretty perfect weekend away. The only slight wrinkle is the bit of a mess that is the bar/dining area. It is advertised as a very small area, so we expected this, but we don't understand why, if it is such a small area, it isn't kept for the exclusive use of guests? On our first night the bar, which seats something like 8 people at most, was full of children who were not staying in the hotel. In addition the adjacent dining area (again, very few tables) was mostly reserved tables - we had not had it suggested to us on arrival that reserving a table was possible and indeed advisable. Despite this it is a wonderful bar area, it just seems that it would be nice if guests could use it rather than fit in around people who are not staying in the hotel. On top of this we were charged for all of our drinks despite being told we would receive two free welcome drinks - I rarely check my bills in detail so I only realised this when we returned home. One of the things I like about hotels like this is the ability to avoid checking every detail, to completely relax, so it is disappointing that they do not seem to take care of assigning this welcome drinks offer to your bill for you. Despite all of this this we had a wonderful stay as the room, location and everything else about this hotel were perfect.
