The Egerton House Hotel in London, England
The pair of red brick townhouses that make up The Egerton House Hotel stands on 17th Century land that the alderman of London entrusted to slaves being held by Turkish pirates. A string of colorful characters inhabited the mansions through the decades, and remnants of history remain in each uniquely decorated room. Elaborate padded headboards, brocaded fabrics and original antiques combine to create an ambiance that is both stately and welcoming.

Reviews for The Egerton House Hotel
My granddaughter and I had the pleasure of an overnight stay at the Egerton House Hotel last week. Not my first time, but it was for Amelia.Once again,it did not disappoint. It’s rather like staying in a rather grand, but charming, townhouse with awfully friendly family!Nothing is too much trouble for the delightful staff, and the room was charming.Amelia (age 10..going on 21!) fell in love with the Egerton, and insists we return for a few days at half term!Well done Red Carnation!

As you arrive at this elegant hotel you will receive a warm welcome. The staff are professional and friendly. If you visit for their vegan afternoon tea, it will be a memorable occasion. The attention to detail is amazing. It was absolutely perfect in every way. We will definitely come again.
I first ended up at the Egerton House hotel when I was ill a few months ago, the hotel I usually stay in was booked and I got a very last minute room at Egerton House. I arrived late (but less than an hour after I booked the room) to be welcomed by name and upgraded to their Master Suite. I really wasn't at all well and pretty much collapsed in the (very beautiful) room. There couldn't have been a more spoiling place to be under the weather. I left early the next morning for a hospital appointment so didn't really get to see much more of the hotel than my room but with a very definite intention to return regardless. I'm doing so now with my 7 year old daughter; she wants to move in! All the staff know her name, she has her own dressing gown, slippers and teddy, she skipped dinner tonight in favour of the hotel's "Princess" afternoon tea and as I type this she's in bed with warm milk and cookies. The Master Suite was booked this weekend (it's perfect if you're travelling with young children) so we're in a regular suite instead; on the 4th floor with a lovely view and a vaulted silk ceiling. The whole place is decorated beautifully and individually. What really sets this hotel apart though is the customer service - it's flawlessly intimate. We'll be back - indeed I suspect they've already got a life-long customer in my 7 year old...

I was very happy with my stay, and impressed with all things Egerton House. The staff are warm and friendly, genuinely so. Very accommodating. The Hotel has a great breakfast. The room was lovely (I had a deluxe King). I appreciated that they have a tea server in the room. The evening turn down was special; they light candles in the bathroom. The food is very good. I was impressed. The bartender Easley is easily the best martini maker in town. Overall, while the hotel might not be "fancy" for a 5-star, the comfort of my stay was priceless. I note this is a mid-range hotel, but that is relative to high-end places like Lanesborough. The service is just as good, but the hotel is much smaller and less explosively fancy. And, location-wise, one simply cannot do better.

My wife and I are always excited when we visit Egerton House Hotel. The staff are friendly attentive and respectful. Michelle the manager extraordinaire continues to provide magnificent service and she really has become a friend to us. The food is beautifully presented and prepared with care. The cob salad deserves especial mention. It won’t be long before we return.
